    Amberblaze looked out over the gorge where Silentclan's territory was. Her amber eyes glimmering in the starlight as she stood on the edge of the steep cliff. Amberblaze gazed up as she saw dark clouds began to form . Amberblaze flinched when rain started pouring on her head. The orange and red she cat started walking away from the gorge when she tripped and fell and started sliding towards the cliff edge. Amberblaze wailed in horror as she tried finding something to grab on to but it was only until she was clinging to the very edge did she find some thing to cling to. Her back legs swinging below her with the wind. She dug in her claws deep into the earth and tried to haul herself up but with no luck. "Someone help me!" Amberblaze yowled.

    Smokefall, who was out on hunting patrol near the gorge, was stalking a squirrel. Hind quarters wiggling, he was about to pounce, when he heard a blood curdling scream for help. The squirrel bolted up right, beady eyes wide and ran away to the safety of a tree. Besides the obvious disapointment in his gaze, he realized someone had cried for help. Who was that? he thought, springing to his paws, head and ears swiveling towards the sound. Without hesitation he started running swiftly to it. His paws thrummed over the baren earth, up ahead he could see the gorge. "Hello??" he yowled, spotting a pair of paws clinging for dear life onto the edge.

    He gaped and sped to the paws, screeching to a stop before the paws. Smokefall peered over the side and spotted Amberblaze clinging there. "Hold on!" he shouted, reaching down and grabbing her scruff tightly in his jaws. With a loud grunt he leaned back, trying to lug the she cat up. Finally with a loud gasp he hauled her over, sending him falling back, Amberblaze ontop of him.

    "Thank you smokefall," the she cat gasped " I thought I was done for!" She got up off smokefall and helped him to his paws. Amberblaze trembled as she looked back at the gorge "I'm never going over there again" Amberblaze exclaimed.

    He shook his fur after getting to his feet. "Dont mention it" he breathed, finally catching his breath. "Howd that happen?" the ashen tom asked.
