  • Silentstripe felt a deep sympathy for Redwillow as she poured her heart out to him. He didn't resist when she touched noses with him, his conscience wouldn't allow him to deny her that. "Just.. just wait a moment." He mewed as she turned to walk away. "It's true me and Willowflare are mates she will forever hold my heart. But even if she didn't I don't think I could ever have fallen for you." He looked at the ground knowing what he was saying wasn't going to make her feel better but she deserved a reason why and perhaps it would help her forget about him. "I've worked harder than anyone else to earn the trust and respect of my clan, after my mentor tried to ruin my life and even my family abandoned me during those times. If we were ever found out everything I worked so hard for would be lost, I... I can't go through all that again." He looked back up his eyes full of sympathy. "Please forget about me, as hard as it may be, and find someone who can give you the love you deserve."

  • She turned to face him again. "Oh Silentstripe. I don't have to forgive you. It's not something that you did for fault. It's entirely me. I understand," Redwillow meowed again. "I know how hard it is to uphold trust in a Clan. Everybody in that joined WolfClan when it was WolfGang had to. They were just rogues looking for a home, or abandoned kits, like I was. I hope I didn't change any good feelings towards me as your friend. I don't know if I'll ever find a tom as great as you, but I hope I find someone. Good-bye, Silentstripe." She turned around and walked away before more tears could fall. She looked back one more time and blinked slowly before turning around and padding slowly into the back of the Horseplace, into WolfClan territory, before more bushes swallowed her up.
*gasp* redwillow should die in the battle against the rogues in the other thread!!!!!

  • ooc: yeah Silentstripe needs to watch another friend die to rouges that wouldn't make him go on an uncontrollable murderous rampage or anything. ;)

ic: Silentstripe just sat and watched as Redwillow walked away, there was nothing left to say. The expression on his face was unreadable as he didn't really know what to feel. Eventually he rose knowing he couldn't sit there forever, he needed to go think things over and tell Willowflare. It was something he felt she needed to know and he hoped it wouldn't cause her to doubt his love for her. Turning towards the direction he seen Willowflare in he padded slowly forward, pondering just what he should say.

  • Flicking her ear at her mate's arrival, Willowflare turned her head and smiled warmly. Brushing her tail along the grass, she noticed that Silentstripe looked troubled. She could tell it was not about Cinderpelt or his new apprentice, so she was a little concerned, and she was'nt really mad at the peek she saw earlier. If he wanted to explain himself, let him do it. Knowing Silentstripe, she figured he would not betray Windclan, and her. He was loyal through and through and she could not imagine him doing such a dirty thing, such a betraying thing.

  • Willowflare's warm smile did wonders in calming Silentstripe's nerves after having been trying to think of how to explain what had happened. He padded over and sat next to her before beginning his explanation. "Redwillow... just told me she.. loves me." He struggled to say before starting to panic inside. "I did my best to explain to her that it could never work between us and that she should forget about me." He finished almost frantically, wanting to make sure his mate knew he held no feelings for the Wolfclan cat. He just stared at the ground avoiding his mates gaze as he waited for her reaction.

  • Willowflare turned her head to the water, thinking of how to reply. Redwillow and Silentstripe were friends, but she never knew Redwillow might develop feelings for her mate. "Redwillow..." She began. "Will have to cope with those feelings until the day she falls out of love with you. The denial could be a lesson for her, she fell in love with a tom out of her clan. Let's just be glad she is a kind, understanding cat and that for now on, she will not have any relationships out of her clan and she will follow the warrior code." She meowed softly, obvious to her mate that she was not mad or upset at him. "I am not surprised. Wolfclan have just became part of the clans, and they will not know the Warrior code well and so it would be quite easy for them to disobey the code until they learn to strictly follow the warrior code like us." She rested her tail on Silentstripe's shoulder. "Don't think about it too much. She'll find someone else, and let's be sure of that. You did the right thing. However," She turned her head to her mate, her blue eyes gleaming. "It was useless to try to get her to forget you. You two are friends, and she is in love with you. You trying to make her forget you would be like me trying to make you forget about Ambereyes."

  • Burn ;)

well, I think he can cope with Willowflare, mousegrass, and bushrose by his side. I mean, mousegrass isn't Silentstripe's BIGGEST fan but he's in love with bushrose so...

  • ooc: Well its not really a matter of him not being able to cope with the loss of a friend its more that he already had to watch rouges kill two people that were close to him. Knowing that they had killed another would drive him into a blind rage.

ic: Silentstripe gradually relaxed as Willowflare spoke, her tone enforcing the fact she wasn't mad. When she placed her tail on his shoulder all his fears vanished and he met her gaze. The last part of Willowflare's explanation felt like a gut shot, it was cruel of him to want Redwillow to forget him entirely. "Your right Willowflare I guess I wasn't really thinking of it like that. It was a little heartless of me to ask her to do that." He mewed calmly before looking towards the water. "I sure hope they follow the warrior code, it sometimes feels like most of the clans just follow it when they feel like it." He added with a small sigh.

  • one of the previous rogue attacks before the big battle could could kill her. YES LIKE THE HUNTING PATROL GOING ON RIGHT NOW GETS ATTACKED AND SILENTSTRIPE AND WILLOWFLARE HEAR SCREECHING AND CLAWING SO THEY GO HELP AND REDWILLOW TAKES ON TWO BEHIND SOME BUSHES AND WHEN THE ATTACKS OVER THEY FIND HER!!!! (Writing in all caps cuz I'm on plot overload :)

  • Ic: Good idea!
    Ooc:

Willowflare smiled lightly at him. "Your not heartless to say that, Silentstripe. Any cat would have probably said the same if they were in your paws at that moment. You were probably dazed or confused so you didn't think of that, probably what would have happened to me." She meowed softly. She looked back at the pond calmly. "Yes. It does seem like that. I hope Wolfclan sees the wisdom and meaning of the warrior code, to encourage them to follow it like a normal clan." She added.

  • A tortoiseshell she-cat's blue eyes narrowed. She and her five companions, a brown tom, Apple, a blue gray she-cat, Rain, a gray tabby tom, Crab, and a black-and-white tom, Milky, were hiding in bushes as the WolfClan patrol, containing a gray tabby, a red tabby, a small white she-cat, and a brown tabby with white ear tips and paws, was passing by. She could tell they were hunting.
    ***
So could Milky, the best scenter in the group. "Should we attack, Birch? Maybe we can steal their prey if we defeat them."
    ***
Though Birch wanted to keep these cats, the best fighters, in well-condition, prey was hard to find where the rest of her rogues lived. She would have to risk it. She raised her tail, then let it fall. She crouched and sprang at the nearest cat, the gray tabby, and bowled him over.
    ***
    Grayfang screeched in surprise.
    ***
Milky attacked the red tabby with Apple.
    ***
Rain and Crab attacked the small white she-cat.
    ***
Whaletooth sprang to help Snowpaw take on the two cats.

  • Willowflare's eyes widened and she stood up, her fur bristled. She stared at the Wolfclan's border direction, hearing screeching and yowling. "An attack!" She gasped, and leaped around her mate, racing quickly towards the sound. She twitched her nose as she ran, smelling the scent of Wolfclan mixed with Rouge. "Get some others and meet me at the battle scene!" She yowled at Silentstripe, trusting the tom to understand rouges had attacked. She dashed across the border and raced through some bushes, then arrived to the battle, panting. Unsheathing her claws, she noticed the cats were outnumbered by the rouges, and flung herself at Apple, attempting to rake the rouge's side with her claws. She did'nt need a good reason to help, she knew of what happened in her mate's past with rouges, as well as what happened when rouges ambushed her family. Rouges were the enemy, no madder who they were attacking.

  • Apple threw her off (I need two rogues to attack redwillow towards the end. Have Willowflare help Snowpaw).
    ***
Whaletooth bit Rain's neck and the two rolled off in a whirl with the massive tom and lithe she-cat biting, screeching, and clawing. Soon, Rain raced off towards the bushes, and Whaletooth chased after her, like a badger (which is whaletooth's size :)) chasing it's prey.
    ***
Snowpaw screeched as Crab pinned her. She dug her claws into his belly. Though the bigger, gray rogue's blue eyes gleamed with pain, his teeth were bared for the killing bite.
    ***
Grayfang lunged to help. He yanked Crab off, and it was gray tabby on gray tabby.
    ***
Before Snowpaw could recover, Birch launched herself onto the small white apprentice, claws unsheathed. She raised a claw, ready to cut the apprentice's throat.

  • As Willowflare was thrown off, she lost sight of the red tabby as cats flooded around. She scrambled to her paws, and noticed a little white shape soon to be killed. Snowpaw! Willowflare's heart pounded. She lunged at Birch, attempting to knock the cat away from the little apprentice.

  • Birch screeched in rage as Willowflare slammed into her side.
    ***
    Snowpaw scrambled up, panting.
    ***
Whaletooth, who had pinned Rain nearby, meowed to her. "Go, quick! Warn the Clan! We can take them!" He grunted as Rain threw him off, but he quickly recovered, growling. He pounced on her tail and sank his claws in.
    ***
    Rain jumped free.
    ***
Apple switched with Rain. Though he was not as big as Whaletooth, he would be a better match.
    ***
Rain bowled into Redwillow, and the two she-cat's crashed into a bush. Milky and Rain pinned Redwillow.
    ***
Redwillow bit Rain's throat, but just as Milky slit her. She and Rain both fell limp behind the bushes.
    ***
Milky's eyes widened, and he buried his muzzle into Rain's fur, spattered with blood.
    ***
Snowpaw limped away as fast as she could.
    ***
Apple rain screeching into the bushes, bleeding from his flank, hindleg, and muzzle.
    ***
Milky limped towards Birch, but was bowled over by Whaletooth.
    ***
Birch attempted to claw Willowflare's flank.

  • Willowflare felt claws claw her side, and quickly she noticed cats were running. "You don't belong here, Rouge!" She hissed and lunged at Rain, attempting to bowl the she-cat over.

  • ooc: well first of all I apologize for my absence but stuff happened. And i see you two do want Silentstripe to snap. >:D

Charging in from the taller grass Silentstripe targeted birch who had just clawed his mate. His eyes were full of rage as he charged into the rouge in a full speed tackle. Willowflare had told him to go back and get some other warriors however his hatred for rouges and his fear for his mates safety led him to charge straight to the battle instead of finding others first.

  • Milky hissed to Birch, "Retreat! Rain has been killed!"
    ***
Birch's eyes widened. "Rogues of the Brick, retreat!"
    ***
    Whaletooth let Apple flee.
    ***
"This isn't the last you've seen of us, WindClan and WolfClan!" Birch spat. "In fact, you've just made it worse of your cats!" She turned and ran away.
    ***
Milky, carrying the limp Rain in his jaws, ran away. He was a slow because of Rain, and was afraid the angry looking gray cat (Silentstripe is gray right?) would attack him, but soon he had safely limped into the bushes.
    ***
Snowpaw came back with Whitefur, her mentor, a black-spotted white she-cat which was her mother, and a golden-brown tom.
    ***
"Brackentail!" Whaletooth's mew was relieved as he saw one his and Lightshadow's kits.
    ***
"Spottedpelt, be careful." Whitefur's meow was nervous. He spun around to face Willowflare, snarled, and bowled her over. "I should've known that WindClan would work with rogues against us!"

  • Willowflare struggled out of Whitefur's grip, and shook out her fur, wrinkling her nose. "We were not working against you at all." She meowed, her light blue eyes calm. She did not want to start anything else, for both her and Silentstripe's sake, and Wolfclan's sake. "We heard a fight with rouges nearby, so we came to help. We do not have much against Wolfclan, Whitefur. We do not have a reason to want to attack you with rouges." She looked at Silentstripe, her eyes soft. "We both have hard pasts with rouges, so we wanted to help." She mewed. She lifted her head and scanned the cats, noticing red behind a bush. She padded quietly over behind the bush and gasped at the she-cat's limp body. "Red-" She gasped. "Redwillow's dead!"

  • Snowpaw let out a whimper.
    ***
    Spottedpelt sank to the ground.
    ***
Brackentail and Whitefur brought softly out on their shoulders.
    ***
Whaletooth, forcing his voice not to quiver, spoke up, "WolfClan will go home now." The WolfClan deputy turned to the WindClan cats. "Go back to WindClan. I suggest you warn Gravelstar. These rogues want something, and WolfClan will know how to defeat them. After all, we were rogues once, as well. We had heard about the Rogues of the Brick, but they never bothered us. Whitefur, I'll take Redwillow. Go with WindClan." He murmured something else to the white tom, and Whitefur nodded.
    ***
"Take me to Gravelstar," the brave white warrior meowed, amber eyes filled with grief.
