  • Blacktail's fierceness faded into curiousity. "Willowkit!" He recognized the little voice and calico pelt almost immediately. "What are you doing out here alone?" He asked her, the stars glittering in his eyes. He glanced at Hollypaw, then back to the kit, then to the camp that sat on the hill a little ways away.

She likes whiskey with her water
She starts dancing when the stars come out
She ain’t your typical preacher’s daughter
She’ll leave you dreamin’ yeah there ain’t no doubt

There’s a little bit of devil in her angel eyes
She’s a little bit of heaven with a wild side
Got a rebel heart a country mile wide
There’s a little bit of devil in her angel eyes
A little bit of devil in her angel eyes

Saturday night she’s rockin’ out by the bonfire
Flirting from that tail gate and crankin’ up the dial
Come Sunday mornin’ she’ll be singing with the choir
Drivin’ me crazy with that kiss me smile

Willowkit peered down at her paws, peering upwards with one of her to-die-for innocent gazes that usually got her out of most trouble. "Oh, nothing really. Just a little midnight walk." She blinked up cheerfully at the tom, shuffling her little supports into the soft terrain, pondering if he'd fall for her excuse as to being out of camp. I'll just tell them I'm going back to camp, and on my way back, I'll roll in a bit of mint that grows near the entrance, and just backtrack. The cute calico she-kit glanced at Hollypaw, enchanting aqua luminaries catching the faint moonlight.

  • Hollypaw's expression blank, she said, "I see what your doing." Hollypaw would always get into trouble and knew every trick in the book. Nobody could fool her. "Nice try."

  • Blacktail rolled his eyes. He got up and turned around, heading back to the patch of wood. "Hollypaw, I know I am not your mentor, therefor I cannot order you around, but please bring Willowkit back to camp."he called out behind him as he resumed his spot in the bush so he could keep watch.

Willowkit didn't protest the command, peering back at the two with a small, disapproving smirk as she mumbled,"I can find my own way back to camp, thank you very much. I'm not a k- okay, well, maybe I am a kit, but I won't be in a few moons!" The calico she-kit didn't wait for a reply, turning tail and sprinting up the slope that she had taken during her small time of following the pair. As long as she doesn't follow me, I'll be in the clear.

Willowkit ventured up the slope with a gleeful bounce in her gait, veering off to the side as soon as she knew she was out of sight of the pair. The she-kit strode along the right hand side of the outer part of camp, finding the mint patch that she had discovered a couple moons earlier. Ah, there you are! She hurled forward, rolling cheerfully in the sweet smelling plant to her delight. Now I smell all clean and ready to go!

  • Hollypaw sighed. "I don't know. Lets just keep moving. But before we enter Shadowclan territory, we should mask our scents first..."

  • What if she follows us into Shadowclan territory?, he almost asked, but it was getting late and he knew they should get going. The tom nodded and rubbed against a mossy tree. He would roll around in leaves later on, but since they were still in their own territory, he would be fine. With a last look behind him, he began silently padding toward the Shadowclan territory.

  • Hollypaw trailed behind him, doing the same, but going ahead of him growing impatient as the sky grew darker, her coat getting harder and harder to spot.

  • "We're on the border." He hissed, stopping abruptly. He quietly rolled in the grass and rubbed against the trees. "Mask your scent again. We can't take any risks." He whispered, peering across the border. He was still hoping that the little kit hadn't followed them and had stayed at camp.

  • Hollypaw rolled in a patch of strong dandelions. She stepped over the border and looked out to Shadowclan, a huge difference in scenery just a few feet away.

  • Blacktail shuddered, then padded into Shadowclan territory, his senses seeming to be heighted. The stars were completely hidden, and the unfamiliar scent of hatred and coldness making his fur rise. As he craned his head to look up at the stars, he was greeted by blackness. He felt tiny then, like a little kit. He looked ahead and set his jaw, forcing one paw in front of the other, even though everything in him screamed for him to turn back.

  • Hollypaw shuddered. Something didn't feel right. The fur on her body stuck on end, making her feel staticky. She slowly took small steps. Her paw shook, and she quickly stomped on the floor to hide it, her eyes turning from the regular hazel to a fearful, wary green. She sucked it all in with a single deep breath, beginning to walk boldly and unnerved, straitening herself out, feeling comfortable as she could've.

"Oooooo. You two are going to be in big trouble!" She piped up from the shadows, leaping out at the two unexpectedly with a playful growl to accompany it. "Why did you guys come all the way out here? You know the Shadowclanner could tear you two to shreds if you tried anything funny, and what if the clan declared an attack on Windclan because of your actions? Calmstar didn't send you here, did he?" Willowkit questioned the two with a stern gaze, shaking her head softly as she murmured,"Looks like I gotta bring you two back to camp! Shame on you both."

  • "Why did you follow us?!?" Hollypaw hissed quietly, her voice managing to remain anger, her green eyes ablaze. "We're not actually going in they're camp! And we won't get spotted, ok? As long as you keep your voice down," she whispered.

  • Blacktail growled. "They already did declare battle on us!" He hissed. "No. You wouldn't understand." He flicked his tail. "Why did you follow us?!" He was fighting to keep his voice down.
