  • Bladepaw stood, facing away from the harsh Green-Leaf sun beating down on the campground. A faint breeze ruffled his thick, blue pelt, as his dark eyes scanned the camp. He was mentally preparing himself for the task to come: meeting the other apprentices.

Finally, he decided that the time was right. Squeezing through the bramble entrance, the big, sleek tabby tomcat wormed his way into the apprentice's den for the first time. The scents were overwhelming at first: Bladepaw hadn't realized that there were so many other apprentices! He quietly sulked across the den, avoiding staring eyes and self-conscious whispers. Bladepaw could feel his own muscles rippling under his short, gray pelt. With his flat, broad face, multicolored eyes, odd pelt coloring, and short temper, Bladepaw knew that he would never really fit in.

But he could try. All he had to do now was wait.

OOC: This thread is open to anyone, so please feel free to jump in! Don't ask me, just start roleplaying!

  • Icepaw was laying down in her nest near the entrance of the apprentice's den, quietly cleaning her face. Like her name described, her fur was an icy silvery white. She noticed a gray pelt flash past, and two multicolored eyes along with it. Icepaw looked up, her green eyes glowing in the dark. That must be another apprentice....one that I haven't met before. The silvery white she cat bounced to her paws, flicking her feathery tail once before trotting after the apprentice. "Hello, I'm Icepaw. What's your name?" she asked, reaching the new apprentice.

  • Bladepaw smacked Icepaw's paw away from him. "Watch it!" He snarled, wondering why the white she-cat was so...happy. "And the name's Bladepaw." The tom sat down contentedly, beginning to wash himself. He decided that energetic cats annoyed him.

  • OOC: I meant she had like reached him, not reached for him. :-[

Icepaw jumped back as he smacked her paw. "Nice to meet you, too." she meowed sarcastically, shaking her paw. Friendly, isn't he? a voice in her head told her.

  • OOC: oh lol sorry
IC: Bladepaw shrank away. He could tear this cat to shreds if he wanted to. "Go away." He growled. "You're happiness is infuriating."
    OOC: he's a jerk :D

  • OOC: it's fine :D

Icepaw smiled. "Your welcome." she meowed. He sounds just like my father! she thought. The white she cat sat down and licked her chest fur. "Your angry personality is also infuriating." Icepaw replied.

  • ohboy! Bladepaw thought darkly. she's sarcastic! This keeps getting better and better!
"Oh, well." He growled, licking his paw casually, making sure Icepaw could see his long, unsheathed claws. "You won't go away, will you? Why don't you go bug some other tomcat."

  • Icepaw glanced at his claws. Oh jeez. He's a threatener. the silvery white apprentice rolled her eyes. "Nice try. Because I don't want to." Icepaw scoffed.

  • Bladepaw raised one eyebrow, his dark eyes shining, partly in amusement, partly in anger. No kit had ever stood up to him like this. "I have an idea." He meowed suddenly, not losing the sharp edge to his voice. "How about you prove yourself to me...in battle."

  • Blade paw could sense her anger, and it made him smirk. "Prove it, kitty" the big tomcat growled, sinking his claws into the ground in anticipation.

  • It took everything she had to keep herself from swiping her claws across his face. "No." she said, sitting and curling her tail around her paws. Her mother used to say that there wasn't a thing that could possibly be as stubborn as Icepaw, and later, she learned that it was true.

  • Bladepaw knew that this was not a fight worth fighting. Instead, he leaped onto Icepaw, right there in the middle of the den. He held down the smaller she-cat with half-unsheathed claws and bared his teeth. He could feel the gazes of the other apprentices burning into his pelt, but he didn't care. This idiotic little stubborn nuisance needed to know who was boss. He bared his teeth, looking right into Icepaw's eyes.
"Coward." He hissed. "You're all cowards."

  • Bladepaw turned to face her, his eyes gleaming with the rush of battle. His claws were entirely out now, his teeth bared. Every cat in the apprentice den had their eyes fixed on the two of them, but their glares were no longer intimidating to Bladepaw. "Come and get me, little kitty!"

  • OOC: wow, he is a jerk! Is there a motive for it?

Icepaw narrowed her eyes. The blazing anger in his eyes held a secret; she could tell. Something about his past is causing this..... The silvery white apprentice padded up to him, no indigence in her posture whatsoever. When she reached him, her muzzle was a whisker length from his. Her sea green eyes were friendly and sympathetic. "Why?" Icepaw asked softly. "When there is no reason?"

  • Ooc: yeah, just wait for it...he's actually based off of one of my old cats, who had some issues to.

IC: Bladepaw shied away from Icepaw. Her sudden changes in mood and temper were unnerving.
"Why should you know?" He spat, his long claws digging deep into the ground. He barely knew this cat!
