  • Okay, so I was testing out some things with a drawing in Photoshop with lineart, colors, shading etc. and I would really like your opinions on the drawings. Which type of shading do you like best - do you like it at all? What can I improve on? How much would you pay (in FK)? Would you buy something like this?
And staff, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong board - if it is, could you please move it?

    Thanks,
    Cloudy

  • I would say that my favorite is the cell shading, and I would easily pay anywhere from 1000 to 5000 for a piece of art like this. Though, could you show an example of the cat looking to the side?

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms][color=white]All three are great, but I personally like the way cell-shading looks with your style of art. It matches the bold, solid colors and cartoon style well. For that image/image style, I'd pay something over 2000 fk - it looks like it took a lot of time and effort.

  • woah, that is amazing.
but don't price it too, high, remember, people won't want to buy it then- even more now that everyone seems to be saving. Maybe 1,000-2,000 at most. The cel-ish one looks best though xD
I WILL BUY EVERYTHING U MAKEEE.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify][sup][font=arial]Its amazing! I would pay about 2,000-3,000 though if I wasn't saving up for a damn tiger/lion XD WELL DONE! ♥

  • Thanks everyone! Wow I'm glad you guys like it so much. *is plotting her applications for lion/tiger litters >D*

And I scrolled through some of my other drawings and I don't really have any recent drawings of cats looking to a side xD

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; background-color: transparent; border-radius: 10px; color: #fff; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify; width: 350px;][sub]actually i suggest that the prices should be based on how long it takes for her or how much effort she puts into it as well as fitting it into her schedule and what not. if she prices it at 1K - 2K she'll get flooded most likely and so i suggest the prices be 3,500FK - 5,000fk. • I personally would pay 6,000- but everyone is trying to save.
it would be nice if like, custom-made ones could be like 4,000 and pre-made 2,500.

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; background-color: transparent; border-radius: 10px; color: #fff; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify; width: 350px;][sub]I'm saving my freshkill up to buy artsu from other people, BUT cloudy...want to do an art collaboration sometime? C:<

  • Sure, I'd definitely be interested in an art collaboration.

And I think somewhere between 1K and 5K would work. Maybe 2,000 for a basic price and then + some amount for shading etc?

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms][color=white]Yeah! You deserve that kind of payment for such excellent work ^^ Are you planning on opening a shop?

  • I have a closed shop with bad procrastination issues. The orders there are probably going to be the last of that shop so I'm probably going to open a new one soon.

  • Thanks for the tips! Cel shading is a bit more difficult, believe it or not xD But I think it comes out with a prettier result, so I'm for it.

  • you can search for tutorials on deviantart. there is a good one i use all the time. cell shading may be hard, but you'll be really good at it one day. :)
