  • "Alright then," Aaron grumbled quietly. He stabbed the dummy.

Natalie went back to the rope.

ooc: shall we skip to the startof the games?

  • (What about interviews? Maybe Casear can ask one of them if they have anyone special, and they can say each other?)

Aoife moved gracefully through the moves, smiling. She finished and went back to spar with a trainer.

  • (KK. Wanna move to interviews right now? This is one of my fave threads!)

  • ooc: yeah, sure.

ic: Aaron sat quietly in his seat, waiting for his turn to speak. He was dressed in a fine gold suit, the last of the like that he'd ever wear again.

Natalie sat next to him, already playing up her pitiable appearance. Her hand were folded, her posture closed off, but open enough for the audience to get singing from her. She was dressed in dark, loose fitting dress to bring out the paleness of her skin.

  • Aoife sat straight in her chair, turning slightly to watch Casear and the other tributes. She wore a beautiful dress with different colors of blue. She had trident designs on her arms.

Percy tapped his foot nervously as he sat. He wore a red suit, which he hated.

  • Aoife smiled and moved over to the chair, sitting down. "Fine, thank you, Caesar. And you?" she asked politely, fingering her dress.

  • Aoife's face registered sadness. "They died when I was younger. My aunt and uncle took me in." she said quietly. "But my aunt and uncle are fine."

  • Aoife blushed suddenly. "No, not someone at home, I'm afraid." she looked down again, her cheeks getting redder. "Someone here, but not my district partner."

  • Aoife blushed again, her usual confident self gone. She leaned forward, whispering to Caesar. "Aaron, District 9(?)." she whispered, before leaning away.

  • ooc: six. But hey, close enough. Although, your Percy is from nine.

Ic: "Ah." Caesar glanced at Aaron, who sat staring ahead with his jaw set. Natalie, however, was paying very close attention. "Now, may I ask what it was like for you when you found out that you were going to be in the games?" Caesar had decided to continue after a short pause.

  • Aoife looked relived. "I knew that I may or may not have a chance of winning. I didn't want to join the Careers, I wanted play as fairly as I could." she said confidently, nodding at her District partner.

Percy narrowed is eyes at her, deciding if she was lying or not. This girl is tricky. You can't really know if she's lying or not.

  • Natalie tented her there under the table, her breathing seeming to be constricted. She was coming to conclusions about Aoife as she spoke, just as she had done to all of the tributes before in these games and all of the other games that die could remember. She was a well prepared girl.

Aaron's glasses started to slip down the bridge of his nose and he promptly pushed them back up. The combination from the hear of the stage lights and nerves were making him slick with sweat. He dried his palms on his pant legs.

"Admirable indeed," Caesar said. He was about to ask another question, but the end of Aoife's time was signaled fist. He buttoned for her to take a seat.

  • Aoife smiled and walked back to her seat, her dress swishing. As she walked, her dress glowed slightly, giving of an aura of blue. Sh sat back down, her hands in her lap.

Percy whistled softly. A strange girl this one is. he thought.

  • The interviews for the boy grok for and the tributes from five and girl from six passed uneventfully. Then Aaron was called up, looking very classic. He took his seat across from Caesar. The interview went like thus:
    Caesar: "And how are you?"
    "Well, thank you."
"How do you feel about your chances this year?"
    "Slim, I'm afraid."
    "Not much confidence there, hm?"
"There isn't much to be had. If I could, I'd study music, do that isn't much of ash advantage also VB against the careers, I don't have much chance."
"I'm sure the glasses don't help."
    "Ha. Quite right."
"What about your home life? Are you...seeing anyone?"
A brief pause. Aaron responds, "No."
    "Anyone in mind?"
An uncomfortable knowing smile. "Wait and see."
Them the time was up and Aaron returned to his seat.

  • Aoife started to stare, but looked away. She rubbed her arm as she always does when she's nervous. She fingered her dress, her eyes looking down.
