  • "I need to be lightweight. Don't need to be strong to fish." Aoife said, studying the weights. "You don't need to be strong. Other skills are more important."

  • "Ah, yes." Aaron picked up another weight. "Though I was speaking about your rating. The one that they'll show the public."

Natalie sidled, or limped over toward Aoife and Aaron, she picked up a knife and threw it, completely missing.

  • "I don't know." Aoife said, watching Natalie.

  • "Fair enough." Aaron followed her gaze. "She's strange one," he commented. "A I little spooky, but just a wreck otherwise. I feel kind of bad for her." With a grunt, he tossed the weight.

Natalie glanced back at the pair, but largely ignored them. She continued to throw the knives with little success. Her knuckles were white as she gripped the handle and when she threw it, who'd have thought one could be that stiff. She but her lip as she tried again.

  • Aoife sighed. She walked over to Natalie. "You do it like this." she said, throwing it.

  • Natalie sort of copied her, her braced leg hindering her posture, but when she threw the knife, it hit the dummy, albeit on the arm. She grimaced.

Aaron watched the pair as he retrieved the weight.

  • "Its a start." Aoife said, grinning. "Its easier if you put your braced leg behind you, and your other one in front. Put your weight into your arm."

(http://warriorcatsrpg.com/index.php?topic=1206477.new#new That's a Camp Half-Blood thread if you wanna join.)

  • ooc: I really shouldn't join any more rps. But thank you for the offer.

ic: Natalie tried again, and it was slightly closer to where the heart would be, but still quite off from the center. She ran her fingers through her hair, taking a shuddering inhale and squeezing her eyes closed.

"Come on," Aaron said, walking over. "I'm sure that you can do better, Miss Seven."

  • Aoife sighed. "Closer." she moved away, towards the swords.

  • Aaron followed Aoife casually and examined one of the swords. This too was a nice weapon. It had weight, enough to really hurt someone, but also it had a blade. Deadly two ways.

Natalie let out a small sigh when Aoife left. Maybe that girl was a fool, but she wasn't. Making friends wasn't high on her list of priorities. However, she supposed it couldn't hurt to be well acquainted with other tributes.

  • Aoife grabbed a shorter one, and tested out its weight. "Perfectly balanced." she murmured as she walked over to a dummy. She slashed at its arms and cut them off.

  • "Yes." Aoife said, moving swiftly and cutting off its head. "Even though I'm not with the Careers, I still trained." she commented.

  • "Well, there's your advantage," Aaron said, making another cut in the dummy. "To me, they're all the same, balance or no balance. I figure that they're still deadly."

  • "Hmm." Aoife said quietly, whipping around and putting it at his neck. "Who says that's my only advantage?" she whispered and moved it away, putting it down. She went towards the bow and arrow section.

  • Aaron smiled. "You're just full of talents."

Natalie watched Aoife for a minute, then gave a little snort that was hard to distinguish from her uneven breathing. She was getting a bit too showy in her opinion, but that was just her and what did she matter?

  • Aoife tried out the bow, but sighed.

  • Aoife ignored him and set the bow down. This isn't my kind of weapon. she thought and moved away to hand to hand combat.
