"Nothing much has happened," Aaron said, inspecting Aoife. He fiddled with the spear I. His hand as he thought.

"Probably will never see it again." Aoife mused as she threw another one. "Already expecting to be dead." she said as she she threw another one.
-
"With that attitude, you certainly will." Aaron tossed the spear. Truth be told, it hurt a little to hear her say that, but it was her or him, and he wasn't find of the idea of dying.
Natalie finished with the knots and limped over to the plants. She sniffled slightly as she went through them, learning their names and what they were good for. She glanced over at Percy's work as she did hers.
-
Percy went through them, muttering the names and uses under his breath.
"Nah, I'm just ok with the idea of dying." Aoife said, and closed her eyes. She threw it again and it hit dead center. "Aoife, by the way. District 4."
-
"Aaron Britten." The boy turned the Spear around and swished it through the air. He didn't approve of them. They were only dangerous with the point. There wasn't much weight to do any other damage, and he imagined that they'd break under not too much stress. "It's a but troublesome that you have that outlook. Giving in is an unattractive virtue."
Natalie made a small noise of skepticism aimed at Percy before she could stop it, but disguised it by turning it into a cough originating from her uneven breathing. To her, Percy seemed a little too absorbed. She sniffed in a breath whenshe realized thatshe had gotten some plants mixed up. Some tears were squeezed out, but she continued to work.
-
Percy looked at her, his eyes scanning her. "Your from District 7. You had a work injury."
Aoife made a sound of disbelief. "Me? Give in? Hell no." she threw it again. "I'm just okay with death. All my family is dead." her eyes lit up when she saw on of the Gamemakers nod in approval. "Nice too meet you, by the way."
(Gonna change her skill from bow to trident, swords and knives.)
-
'No,' Natalie thought sarcastically. 'I'm from the moon. I should've thought thqt it was obvious.' Despite her thoughts, she kept her expression. fearful. "Yes," she replied quietly, her voice than and little more than a whisper. "But it wasn't quite a work accident."
"I'm sorry for your loss, though giving up and accepting death sound about the same to me." Aaron's voice was soft when he made his admission, then nodded approvingly at Aoife. "Nice throw."
-
"Thanks." Aoife said, smiling. She grabbed the trident, her face expressionless. "I'm not ready for it, I'm just accepting the idea." she threw it again.
Percy nodded, his eyes sharp. "Your Natalie, right? You like..." he studied her for a moment. "Axes?"
-
"I--I shouldn't say I like them," the auburn haired girl said haltingly. "Just a--a tool of the trade." She brushed away the tears with a hurried flourish.
"I can never accept it," Aaron said, sidling off to the weights. He hefted one. Now this was better; you could feel the damage it could do.
-
Aoife studied him curiously before going to the knives. She grinned slyly as she picked one up. She quickly threw it and picked up another one.
"Ah." Percy said, and turned back to the plants.
-
'Well he's an agreeable *******,' Natalie thought, surprising a sneer. She took a few gasping breaths and swallowed hard.
Aaron raised an eyebrow and smiled slightly at her. "Not one to be trifled with, are you?"
-
"Hmm?" Aoife asked twirling a knife in her hand. "I like knives." she said, looking at the knife lovingly.
Percy turned too her. "I'm sorry. I don't pay much attention."
-
"An you're good with them." Aaron gave a more confident smile. "I certainly hope to not get on your bad side."
"Not many do," Natalie replied in her breathy frightened voice. She became absolutely hopeless, starting to get just about everything wrong.
-
"Thank you." Aoife said, throwing another knife. "Hopefully you won't." she grabbed her knives, smiling slightly.
Percy smiled at her.
-
"I'll try." Aaron tossed the weight a little way and watched it thud to the ground with slight satisfaction.
Natalie didn't smile back. Her face could have been interpreted add a smile, but it looked like a grimace more than anything. She reverted to fear and nodded once at Percy.
-
Aoife nodded in approval of his throw. She went back to her knives, humming. "You think you can win?" she asked.
Percy nodded, then stood up. "Nice meeting you." he said then walked over to the archery station.
-
"It's unlikely, but I have to give it a decent shot." Aaron folded his hands behind his head. "What else can I do?"
Natalie gavea tiny nod to Percy before looking down and relaxing her face slightly. From her brief assessment, he didn't seem like the you're of person that she would want to spend a whole lot of time around, in the arena or out.
-
Percy grabbed a bow and started shooting.
"Hmm..." Aoife said throwing another one.
-
"Not much to say, hm." Aaron inspected the weight. "What number do you want?"
Natalie watched some other tributes carefully, but discreetly.
ooc: you know in your psychic thread? What exactly does a Taker do? I'm a bit confused.
-
Aoife set her knives down and looked at them. "Not that strong."
