"So where do you want to go instead?" Heidi asked as she started walked at a normal pace now, letting go of his hand and sliding hers into the pockets of her jeans.

"I dunno" Nick said

She frowned, thinking of a place they could go. "Uh. The park?" She asked, looking up at him. "Or maybe we could just wonder the city? Do a bit of sight seeing?"

"Either works for me" Nick said "We could also go to my laboratory"

"Go where?" She blinked up at him with wide eyes.

"My laboratory, where i study magic" Nick said

Her eyes grew wide. "You have to show me!" She squealed excitedly, smiling brightly at him with an eager look to her wide eyes.

"Alright" nick said and he teleported them to his lab, it was a decent sized room, with tables full of potions and dried ingredients, dozens of bookshelves full of books, a ladder to an observatory

Heidi looked around when they got there, eyes wider than before with her mouth hanging open in awe. "Oh my..." She trailed off, turning in circles as she walked around to try and take in everything.

"Welcome to my latest place of study" Nick said

Heidi looked at Nick with widening eyes before looking around again. "My.." She tried talking again only to fail again with a frown when she couldn't say anything.

Nick chuckled "I take it you're impressed"

"No, I'm a fish outta water." Heidi made a face before smiling. "Of course I am!"

"You should have seen Lance's before it's destruction" Nick said "He actually ran a magic school out of it for a time"

"Really?" She looked at him with wider eyes.

"Yeah" Nick said "His classes were the hardest there were, and most students dropped out"

"Well then." She nodded slowly, looking around them.

"The only person who ever passed his class was a witch called Reyna" Nick said "She was as psychotic as Lance is"

"Oh my god." Heidi stared at him with wide eyes. "There's someone else as psychotic as Lance?!" She whispered. "I can barely handle Lance at times!" She groaned as she slumped in a chair, pouting. "Wait. Whose Reyna?"
