    Equestria is on the verge of destruction. An unknown force has persuaded Princess Luna to turn back into Nightmare Moon, and now shadows envelope every place in Equestria - except one. The ponies of Ponyville are frightened to death of their beloved village being destroyed by the darkness, like all the other towns and cities. And now, the fate of Equestria could rest in the hooves of one young colt...
    Shadow Flame.


    Shadow Flame is a young black colt with a short, orange and yellow mane, tail and stripes. He has minty blue-green eyes and has no cutie mark yet.

    Fluttershy was on the outskirts of Ponyville, looking upon the grey hills that loomed out in front of her. Angel the rabbit buried herself in Fluttershy's pink mane. But for once, the pegasus couldn't offer any reassurance.


    Shadow Flame was laid on his back in the Town Square grass. Having forgotten completely about anything he needed to do, he was lost in his thoughts. His short orange tail and mane had leaves and twigs stuck in them, and his hair was grubby. What happens if the darkness gets into Ponyville? Is Princess Celestia ok? No, of course not! She would have been Princess Luna's - I mean Nightmare Moon's first target! Who are the ponies who persuaded her to do this? If they're ponies at all... The pegacorn rolled over into a small patch of sticky mud, clogging his black hair together, but he hardly noticed.

    IC: Rarity sat at her work table busily sewing a new dress. Business had gone down a lot since Nightmare Moons return, but that wasn't the only thing worrying her. As she began adding on gemstones Rarity glanced out the window warily. What if the next target was Ponyville? She didn't know what she would do. Deciding that being alone with her thoughts wasn't helping her at all Rarity set down the gems and headed out the door.
