    IC:
Her throat and lungs burned as she tried to hold the breath she had. She glanced at the creature.
    Damn, that thing's ugly.
She attempted to kick it, to try and free her leg. It hissed in return and a few more gathered around, helping it drag her down.

  • Mason swam quickly through the murky water, glad that he had worn light clothing that day. The boy was a pretty good swimmer, considering that he loved to do it. Now, if only he could find Celest...
    There!
    Definitely Grindylows. Stupid little buggers.
Mason picked up the pace and swam faster. He was a few feet away now, and started firing Revulsion Jinxes, causing the Grindylows to begin to let go of Celest and swim away.

  • OOC:
If you haven't noticed, Celest is super stubborn, hehe.

    IC:
She kickex her legs, moving back as they let go of her and disappeared. Now theain thing dragging her down was the weight of her hair and outfit.
And she'd rather die then lose either.

  • OOC ~
    Lol. I can see. :)

    IC ~
Mason shook his head at Celestia.

    Damn this girl.

The boy swam downward and wrapped his arm around her waist, deciding to save her now and murder her later. It took effort due to the extra weight, but Mason finally was able to get the both of them back onto the shore. He breathed a sigh of relief, his Bubble Head charm having worn off a few seconds ago.

The two of them lay soaking wet on the grass, Mason's arm still firmly wrapped around Celestia's waist. They were mere inches apart, but Mason couldn't care less about that minute detail. While Celest seemed irritated from getting herself wet, Mason was tired and slowly getting angrier at Celest as the seconds rolled by.

And he got angrier, and angrier, until...

"What the hell were you thinking?!"

Mason was too angry at her to care about staying silent.

"You could've died down there! What did I tell you about staying away from the water?! You know, I thought that maybe you'd actually listen to me for once instead of foolishly going in further, after I specifically warned you that there are creatures in there that can kill you!"

"I didn't want you to drown!"

Mason glared at Celestia as if it would cause her to die right then and there. He shook his head, feeling disappointed in her. Slowly, the tired teenager got up, his muscles shrieking in protest.

  • OOC:
    IM CRY LOL

    IC:
As he pulled her onto the shore, Celest inhaled deeply and coughed a bit, water dripping off of her and onto the soil. She pulled away from his arm, about to snap at him about how she could have saved herself before he exploded on her.
She didn't realize he was actually speaking to her until he stopped.
"Uh..." For once, she didn't have a good comeback. Maybe it was the fact that she was still trying to get her breathing in order, or perhaps it was shock?

  • OOC ~
    XD

    IC ~
Mason turned his head and shot Celest a glare, hoping to silence her. No words were needed. Mason shut himself up again and turned, beginning to walk away from Celestia despite his aching body. His flip-flops slowly got wet from the water dripping off his body, and his clothes clung to him, making him shiver. He needed to get back in the castle. Too many things had happened here in the past couple of minutes.

  • OOC ~
XD I have no idea, Celestia.

    IC ~
Damn Celestia, damn the lake, damn those Grindylows, damn these wet clothes, damn this cold castle, damn it all!
Mason had never felt rage this powerful because of Celestia, and he wanted so badly to punch a wall or do something to let his anger out. He shivered as he walked into the dungeons, the cold air mixing in with his wet clothes. His teeth chattered violently, and he hoped he didn't get hypothermia or something.

    IC:
Celestia moved slowly and made her way into the castle, barely feeling the coldness of her clothes and the water.

  • OOC ~
I think I died laughing. XD

    IC ~
    This is all Celestia's fault!
Mason let out a yell as his fist collided with solid stone. He heard a loud crack as the frustrated boy broke his hand. Blood dripped from his knuckles down onto the ground, and his hand felt numb. Now Mason was cold, numb, and had a broken hand.

Damn it. Why did I dive in after her? Why did I worry about her?
Mason quickly ran out of the dungeons, his body drained from all the swimming. A trail of water and drops of blood showed where he was going as he made his way to the Hospital Wing.

  • OOC:

    IC:
Celest glanced at the floor and raised an eyebrow. The water gave a hint as to it was probably Mason, but where did the blood come from? She followed the trail after looking at it for a moment to determine what direction the person traveled in. She didn't know for sure if he had made it or now.

  • Mason felt dizzy as he pushed open the door to the Hospital Wing. He let out a moan, thinking that the room was spinning. So... He was cold, and, uh, numb, and... bleeding? Shivering, too. Where was that chattering noise coming from?

Madame Pomfrey took one look at the boy that came into the Hospital Wing and nearly had a heart attack. "My dear boy! What happened?" Quickly she waved her wand and his clothes changed into the traditional Hospital robes, which consisted of a white t-shirt and long, cotton pants. The nurse gave him some white socks to keep his feet from getting cold as well.
Madame Pomfrey ushered the disoriented boy onto a hospital bed, placing a hand to his forehead and gasping at the warmness of his skin. "A fever. But why...?" She touched Mason's hand, getting a high-pitched yell of pain in return. "Oh dear, it's a broken hand. Don't worry, I'll have that fixed in no time."

  • OOC:
If you want to cry from laughing, watch this.

    IC:
Celest stoon in the doorway of the Hospital Wing, raising an eyebrow and glancing over at Mason. How'd he get a broken hand?

  • OOC ~
    It's... It's killed me! XD

    IC ~
Once Mason's hand had been bandaged up and he had received a pain-killing potion, he sighed in relief, leaning his head on the soft pillow. His fever was still high, and he watched with amused eyes as Madame Pomfrey bustled around the room, gathering ingredients and mixing things together. He was probably going to be bed-ridden for a few days, not that he minded that.
    [color=pink]
"Oh dear, how did you break your hand?" Madame Pomfrey murmured after giving him a potion for his fever. She watched as the boy coughed before looking up at her, not saying a word.
"Oh! You're... You're the quiet boy, aren't you?"
    The boy nodded.
"Ah, oh well. It not that important anyway. Now, you just sit tight and rest up. You have a very high fever from being so cold."
    [color=limegreen]
Mason turned his head and watched as Madame Pomfrey disappeared into her office. Once she was gone, Mason rested his head on the pillow and looked up at the ceiling with a sigh.

  • OOC:

    IC:
Celest silently drifted over the floor and stood beside his bed. "Not no silent now, hmm?" She hummed before frownung. Her clothes and hair were still drenched, her pigtail drils having gone flat. "Thank you.." She frowned and looked away.

  • Mason's eyes narrowed. She was still going to mock him? While he was bed-ridden? Why he oughta-
    "Thank you.."
Mason blinked in surprise. Did, did Celestia, Ms 'I'm so perfect' just apologize? This was too good to be true. He probably died trying to save Celest, and now he was daydreaming. Great. Just great.
The boy looked up at Celest and nodded his head in a 'you're welcome'.

  • OOC ~
Timeskip to later in the week?

    IC ~
Mason smiled at her retreating figure. When he thought about it, he didn't think Celestia was truly a bad person. Maybe her past affected her present, like how his mother's death prevented him from speaking too much.
    You're not a bad person.

  • OOC ~
    Yurp. And they bond. ;D

    IC ~
The first week of October came quickly to Mason. He seemed to be pretty cheerful on that Friday afternoon. Classes were finished for the day, and Mason had owled Celestia telling her that the day's tutoring had been canceled. The boy had a smile on his face as he headed down to the Quidditch pitch, his Firebolt slung over his shoulder. He didn't think practicing alone would hurt. If anything, it would only make his spirits rise even higher. If there was one thing Mason loved in the world more than anything else, it was Quidditch.
