    Yes. You heard correctly. The brutal officer was actually looking for a deckhand. He hated kits and wasn't a fan of teaching others, but he did want some-cat to learn his ways. Flick wasn't interesting in a happy-go-lucky kittypet, that was what he thought of them as, or a super tight strict know it all. And overall, he wasn't looking for a female.

    Flick wasn't afraid to get dirty. Any Skull member with at least potential would be nominated. They'd changed gods, but that had not changed the tuxedo's view of women. If a deckhand was a she-cat and was absolutely best, she may get lucky to be chosen. He would prefer a male, but a warrior was a warrior. "All deckhands without a mentor, unsheathe your claws and get your asses over here!"

  • { Ok, thanks :) Del Vallo is open for the position if you want }

    A large, red Maine Coon kit padded up, his fur freshly groomed and his golden eyes shining with confidence. Today was finally the day that he could become a deckhand, though the tom will still learning about all the ranks. He wondered who his new mentor would be. The tom couldn't wait to start learning how to fight and hunt so that he could really contribute to his new adopted group. Plus, he wouldn't be stuck in the camp all day playing foolish kit games.

    The young tom's ears flickered as he heard Flick's voice carried through the air. The tom padded up for the fact the he had been without a mentor. Judging by what he had seen and heard, this tom seemed though, but as his mother always said, the best teachers are the toughest teachers. Del Vallo felt ready to prove himself, and this tom seemed like he'd be a good fit for him.

    "Del Vallo," The young tom mewed in response to Flick, his head raised confidentially and his golden eyes meeting the older tom's. "I've got no mentor yet,"

    {ooc; awesome, if no one else shows up, you got it! xD}

    Flick glanced over at the scarlet tom. The first thing the officer noticed was the Coon's size. Big cats always have potential. Once the thought slipped his mind, the tuxedo planted a smirk on his face. "Interesting name. I'm Flick, I don't have a Deckhand yet." The vicious male was satisfied that his first costumer was a male, but he'd wait to see if there were any other toms up for the job. All of them would need to be ready to prove themselves, however.

  • Del Vallo could hardly keep his excitement from spilling over. He was filled with glee on the inside, and there was a huge smile across his face. The red Maine Coon kit met the tuxedo's gaze, careful not to stare for too long. I remember momma says that it's not polite to stare. But, I've got to acknowledge him as well. The tom glowed at the compliment he had received from the older tom. He didn't think too much of his name other than it being a name his mother had picked for him. "I promise. I'll be the best deckhand you've ever seen yet!"

  • [align=center][actually, the minimum age for a deckhand is four moons old.
    swabbies, beginning at the age of two moons old can run messages, and be of general use. but until they are four moons old they cannot be apprenticed/deckhanded.]

  • {Ok. Thanks for informing me. So flick, where do you want to go with this? Should I liquid time his age up one moon (if that can be done) or actually wait about another month or so to make him a deckhand? Or do you want to pick someone else? }

  • {Oh ok. In that case I'll just age him up to four moons then }

    Del Vallo's golden gaze was fixed on the tom, waiting to see whether or not he would accept him as his mentor. The tom's paws itched to get out of the nursery and really serve his new group as much as possible. Being too young to do anything had left him bored after awhile, but now that he was old enough, his days of being limited in what he could do were over.
