.::Eat Your Heart Out::. An open romance/drama Zombie RP

Aurora Dior was a dark-haired girl of French origin. She lived with a mother (Cindra), a father (Patrick), and two sisters (Belle and Ella). She only had one pet, a small kitten she had found outside, abandoned. She called the ginger kitten Blossom. Rory's family was rich, and basically perfect. That was, until flesh-eating zombies killed all but three members. Aurora, Belle, and Blossom escaped, and now they must survive not only the dead who attack, but also the living.

"Rory?" Belle's voice was barely over a whisper as the twelve-year-old brunette shook her older sister awake. "Aurora, I heard a noise."
Aurora, a heavy sleeper of sixteen years of age, shot up. She had to protect those she loved, even if it meant leaving the dream world behind. "Grab your machete," she instructed her sister quietly, silently standing up. She was still in her sleeping bag, and she grabbed a handgun from the holster at her waist. It was her father's, the only gun he had ever possesed in his lifetime. He had bought it when there were a series of robberies in the neighborhood, and even though the burgalur had been apprehended, Patrick Dior kept the small weapon. Aurora had just barely managed to grab it at the house, just seconds before she shot her own ten-year-old sister in the head. She shook the memory out of her head and loaded the handgun. There was silence all around them, Belle and Rory, where they sat in the abandoned country home they had been living in for a week. Then, there was the creak of a floorboard, and Aurora turned around, shocked by what she saw.

Aurora and Belle, respectively:

"Belle," Aurora whispered. "Cover your eyes and give me the machete." Her sister handed the weapon to Aurora and covered her eyes. Belle moved a bit when she heard the growl of the zombie, but Aurora got to it before it could do any damage. Holding the machete, she sliced the cadaver's throat open, then shot it in the head. The sound echoed throughout the woods the cabin sat in, and she instantly regretted firing.
"It's safe now, Belle-y. You can look again."

"Rory?" Belle's voice was quiet.
"Yeah, Princess?"
"Why did you use the gun instead of the machete?"
"I don't know." Aurora sat back down, praying that the were no other zombies in the area. Then she stood again. "Help me board up the windows." Belle nodded.[/fancypost]

Belle's mouth dropped open. "Belle, stay right here." Aurora commanded her sister. Then she walked silently and slowly to the door. "Are you infected?" she asked softly through the peep-hole, hoping she could be heard.[/fancypost]

Aurora quickly unlocked the door and pulled it open. "Hurry the hell up, will ya?" she yelled. "And don't shoot my sister. She's not infected. Just standing in the other room with a machete."[/fancypost]

Aurora opened the door. "Hurry up! Get in here!" she said to the girl outside. Then to the guy who had just entered. "I'm Aurora. And you are?"[/fancypost]

"Nice to meet you, Jake," Aurora said. Then, she yelled to her sister. "Belle, it's safe. Come meet our new friends." Belle entered the room cautiously, looking around. "You said 'friends' with an 's.' I only see one person."
