Charlotte sat in the second floor of her house, watching the zombies stagger around below them, some stopping and flailing their arms up at the human, seeming to be too stupid to realize there was stairs. Even then, the stairs were boarded up with chairs, tables, pieces of cardboard, anything Charlotte got her hands on. She watched her younger sister, Marie, sort through the small amount of food and water they had left.
"Charlotte, we need more food," the 10-year-old mumbled, "We've nearly run out."
"I know," Charlotte sighed, "I'm trying. But if we go down there, we're going to be the food. There's no joined up houses near us. If we want to get to the nearest house, we'll have to jump. We're bound to miss, we'll fall, and either crack our heads, or be eaten."

ic`` Emma had boarded up the doors in her house. Her parents had become zombies, so she had to kill them. Now the house was save but she couldn't leave. Opening the door to the balcony, she walked out and looked down. All she had for weapons were the knifes they had in the kitchen. She held one in her hand, just in case. There were stores of food and water. The food was fine for now, but later it would probably rot. Water? Plenty of it. Buckets were set up on the balcony to catch rainwater. She had a flashlight inside. She knew that wasn't enough, but it was all she had. She saw people moving inside the house next to her. Maybe downstairs there were zombies. She would need to go talk to people. No, she wouldn't. Anyways, the people there might kill her. Maybe she could make a paper airplane and throw it over through a window with a message...

  • [align=center]Charlotte went over to Marie, bobbing down next to her and helping her with the food, "If we use this wisely, we have about five days left of food, and seven of water. Water is the biggest priority, right next to not being killed. If we don't get anything more, we can survive for about eight or nine more days, ten if we're lucky."
Marie nodded sadly, looking at the ground. The younger put her head in her hands, sighing quietly before looking back up at her sister. "We need to move."

ic`` She then grabbed a pencil and paper, writing. She wrote, I have enough food to last maybe a month or two. I have enough water to last three months. I have weapons. You can come over and get some. Folding the paper into a paper airplane, Emma walked to the window and opened it. First she threw the pencil at the window of Charlotte and Marie's house. Then she gestured for them to open the window.

  • [align=center]Charlotte heard the noise of the pencil hitting the window, turning her head. Marie was already up, over at the window and looking over to where Emma was. Charlotte went over to her, opening the window after a few seconds of consideration, ready to pull Marie down if they were fired at.

  • [align=center]Charlotte caught the paper airplane, reading it. She showed it to Marie, who nodded, and then she looked back up at Emma, nodding in approval. "Any plans on how to get over there?" Charlotte asked Marie, who didn't respond, instead looked around for the answer.

  • Ian was situated on the roof of an old car maintenance. At the moment he had himself lying on his stomach at the edge of the building and his gun aimed at the 'walkers' below. What he was doing on that roof was questionable even to him, seeing as he lived two blocks away in an old boarded up hotel. He was cursing himself now though because earlier that morning he had decided it was time to find more supplies, while he was in the gas station across the street a few of 'them' managed to sneak up on him. After he shot the first one more showed up to investigate the sound his gun made when it went off which lead him to making his escape onto the roof he was on now. Unfortunately he had gotten himself surrounded and he had no where near enough bullets to take all of the walkers out now.

Ian sighed and sat up his gaze fell towards the black duffel that he was able to fill with a few nonperishable items. He pulled it towards him and unzipped it pulling out some canned fruits, as if on cue his stomach began to rumble. He glanced around him once, seeing that no one or nothing had made it up to him, 'yet' he pulled out his pocket knife and proceeded to open the can.

ic`` Emma grabbed a rope and went to the balcony. She threw it through the window to the other girls. They could tie it to something and use their hands and feet to get over.

  • A teenage girl with dark brown air and striking blue eyes was walking down the street with a backpack slung over her shoulders. She had a bow slung over one shoulder and arrows in the pocket of her bag. In her belt she had a revolver and a knife. In her hand she had a hunting rifle as she held it tightly. She quickly walked down the road, her back against the wall as she steered clear of any zombies. She saw the a petrol station just some way away and her face brightened but she frowned as fast as it came. There were walkers surrounding the area. She cursed under her breath as she noticed that they were surrounding the entrance. She sighed as she looked for another way in, when she saw a boy on the roof. Her eyes narrowed as she backed up further against the wall.

  • Ian had managed to pop the can open and was now sitting cross-legged and sipping at it idly. He caught movement at the corner of his eye and he turned his head only to find he was staring at the neighborhood that the gas station and auto repair sat in front of. The movement happened to be a paper airplane flying through the window of a house. Ian rubbed his eyes unsure if what just happened happened. As far as he was concerned everyone around him was gone either dead or a zombie. Ever since the apocalypse began he hadn't been able to find life anywhere not even a dog. Which was why he found the sight to be odd.

So once the man removed his hands from his eyes he expectantly saw nothing they were just two neighboring houses with an empty gap between him. Ian shrugged and was about to turn away when again his attention was brought back towards that now not so empty gap which was now being occupied by a rope. His mouth fell open slightly at the scene unfolding in front of him and for a moment he couldn't make anything of it.

Finally with a sudden shake of his head Ian managed to break out of his daze. Those were people most definitely, he concluded. Walker's were no way smart enough to make a paper airplane, let alone throw it with such precision that along with the rope that was tossed pushed any other doubt out of his mind.

He stood up and finished the last of his can of fruit before discarding it over the edge of the roof. After his knife was tucked back into his pocket, and his gun and duffel was pulled safely up onto his back and slung over his shoulder and began to look around for a safe way to get down...

  • Linka kept walking slowly and saw an airplane. Her eyes narrowed as she watched it land next to a rope. She cocked her head and held up her gun. Besides her brother she hadn't seen anyone else besides the walkers. She was breathing heavily as she took a step forward. She heard gurgling and a walker was crouching over something, or more like someone. She swallowed and backed up slightly her gun held up aiming. It would be a bad idea to shoot because of the noise, but if she didn't get out fast she might have to do so. The walker paused and lifted its head. Its head suddenly turned and its eyes saw her. A loud blood-curdling screech escaped through its rotted yellow teeth as it stood up. Her eyes widened as she quickly started running. It gave chase and she quickly spun around and shot it right in the head. She was breathing heavily as she looked around desperately for a way off the road.

IC~ Saphire scavenged what she could, guns, food, even clothes from the dead. Her head was held high, her thoughts filled with happiness to distract her from the dead bodies moaning around her. She grab her revolver from her gun pouch and aimed a steady streak of bullets at the walkers heads. Their heads popped with a sickening sound, but she held her gun steady. She knew that if she were to find more survivors if there were any more survivors, that she had to keep moving. Luckily she hadn't seen any runners, so she was free to stroll through the street, trying to stay away from the dead bodies that tried to grab her, their eyes rolling out of their sockets or their skin peeling from their body. There was too much of them and so little of her ammo. She had to get moving, and fast. She saw a pawn shop ahead and so she dodged the bobbing bodies and kicked open the door of the shop hoping that some guns would be held in the shops inventory.

  • [align=center]Charlotte caught the rope, looking around for something to tie it on. She noticed a small handle next to the window, remembering the dare she and her friends had once done to put a door handle sideways next to the window. She'd gotten in trouble, and they had never gotten around to getting rid of it. She was thankful for that now. The teenager tied it to the handle, about to help Marie onto the rope when she heard the gunshot. It couldn't be a zombie, they'd be too stupid to know how to fire the gun.

"There's other people," Charlotte spoke softly, "Oh my god, Marie, we aren't the only ones alive."
She pulled her younger sibling into a hug for a few moments, before making sure the rope was secure. "You're going to next to make your way across this," she told Olivia, "I've made sure it's secure. If this other person is true to their word, they've got food. I'm trusting them enough to hope they won't drop the rope. You can take the small amount of water we've got, and I'll take the food. Got it?"

Olivia nodded. She grabbed a plastic bag, carefully putting the two or three bottles into it and securing it. She then carefully tied it around her waist, using a random small piece of rope they had, before looking over at Charlotte, and then climbing up onto the windowsill.
Charlotte helped Olivia, making sure she was balanced. "If that water is going to make you fall, then you're probably going to need to get rid of some or all of it. Hold on tight and crawl across it. Just like you did in that play during Year 6. This time with nothing to make sure you don't fall. Got it?"
Olivia nodded yet again, clinging onto the rope as she made her way across it. She could hear the undead moans below her, and what sounded like the moans of Stumblers. She took a deep breath, continuing to make her way across the rope, nearly slipping at some points but managing to keep her balance.

IC~ Saphire grabbed all the ammo she could, stuffing them into her backpack. The walkers weren't smart enough to use the open door and they kept stumbling over each other's bodies. She grabbed a shotgun and an MP7 she found behind the receivers desk. She found double pistols lying in the hands of a newly killed person, probably about to zombify. She didn't take any chances and shot the guys head, the zombie clearing shot out of him. She grabbed the double pistols and checked the ammo. Just enough to get her off the street and to the near by neighborhood. She changed the ammunition and raised her guns to fire off the heads of the incoming zombies. Their bodies fell easy but they blocked her exit. She was trapped in the shop and running out of ammo fast."Can anyone hear me! I need ammo and help!" She desperately called, not even sure if she would live any longer.

ic`` Emma had tied the rope onto the stairwell. She wa standing at te window, reaching out to pull Marie into the house and of the rope. Nodding to Charlotte, she made sure Marie was safe in the house before puttin the rest of the knives in her belt. She quickly opened a door and slammed it behind her. Now they would follow her. The teenager pulled out the butchers knife and sliced at whatever zombie ame near. She then stabbed one in the head an got to the gas station. She gestured for them to follow her. Grabbing a rock, she threw it. The sound got them to lose focus for a second. Running over she moved the bodies and came in. She held outgrew hands, expecting the pistols. She had ammo but she needed a gun to get back.

  • Ian's attention snapped towards the gun shot that he had heard clearly above the walker's moans. His gaze came to rest on the figure holding the weapon, which happened to be a girl. A living breathing girl. He cocked his head for a moment before shaking his head. He looked around the roof once more and when an easy exited couldn't be found he opted for plan B. Which was basically him jumping from the roof he was on to the building next it. It was dumb and the gap between was a bit of a jump but he really had no other choice, and the worst that could happen was he didn't jump far enough and fell. That of course would probably to lead to him with a broken leg or something and most likely to his own demise. Luckily he had self assurance, although it didn't sound like much he was optimistic and it was.... Good enough.

Ian pulled his duffel bag off his shoulder and heaved it across the gap when it landed safely on the other side he began to back up only to stop when he reached the middle of the roof. With one final deep breath the man began to full on sprint across the roof. When he reached the ledge he pushed off with one leg and the other he had outstretched along with his arms. Time seem to stop and for a moment Ian felt like he was suspended in air and then he began to descend. It was rapid and when he looked down the alley was gone replaced with the hard surface of the next roof. A brief moment of sweet relief washed over him, and before he hit the ground he rolled his shoulder in tucked in his feet and landed it in a slightly unsteady crouch.

He stood up wobbly for a moment before he slung his duffel back over his shoulder and began sprinting once more. When he came to the edge of that building he stopped. The girl was standing in the middle of the road, and he noticed the walkers were gaining ground, fast. He looked along the edge frantically trying to find a latter which he spotted a moment later. He bounded over to it and looked around for any other walkers near the bottom, when he found none he slid down it and rushed towards the girl. "Hey!" He called when he was close enough.

  • Linka kept running her feet echoing off the ground. She held her gun to her chest as she quickly jumped into a window. She closed the window behind her and quickly covered it with a large crate.
"Linka?" a male voice sounded, "What the hell happened? Are you okay?"
She turned and nodded, "Yeah." she panted, "I'm fine. Just winded."
"Wind- what? Why are you winded?"
"I just ran half a mile from a walker. I shot it in the face don't worry but it wasn't close so more shouldn't come." she breathed.
His jaw clenched, "You could've been killed Linka. Why didn't you let me come with you?" he asked, crossing his arms.
"Because I knew you would say it would be too dangerous to get," she pulled her bag off and tipped out its contents, "this." she said, showing a display of cans of food and supplies.

  • [align=center]Charlotte made her own way across the rope, bringing the food they had with her. She didn't want to take any chances, and untied the rope, letting it fall below her. "Jesus, slow down," she muttered once Emma had raced off, making sure Marie was alright and then following the other female. Marie grabbed a knife she noticed randomly lying on the floor, handing it to Charlotte. She nodded her thanks, making sure she didn't lose sight of Emma.

ic`` Emma had seemed to disappear from the road. She wouldn't talk. Seeing him, she geatured for him to come and follow, along with the girl. Then she began to chop at the zombies. She hit necks, legs, and heads so they either died or couldn't move. Holding te knife she ran to her house through the zombies. She aced for the two to run over before the zombies filled he path again. When a zombie got too close she kicked it back, flipped it, and toes its hand behis it's back and then died its feet together. Looking around, she anxiously waited for the others.
