We have neighbors. Swoopclan and Flightclan. Also, We have a Plot and a prophecy to go with it. :)

"At the end of the Eagle's take off,
When the Wolf has learned to fly,
You will reach a breaking point,
In which the Badger shall survive,
    The Bear will crumble Quickly,
And the Fox will rise to catch,
As the one closest to your kin,
Takes your eyesight from your head,
The Insects will Ravish your meals,
    The Scavengers take their hearts,
    The Frogs with warts,
    The Prey with Death,
And a Curse so evil and Dark.
Beware Wolfshine, and stay alert, for only you can stop it,
But be distracted, and failure cometh,
For all of those who desire it."

Bearstar padded outside of his den, the dirt beneath his paws sinking deep into the abyss of a ground below. The wind blew fiercely, carrying with it tuffs of fur, and blood. The war had taken its place, and left was nothing, absolutely nothing.

Wolfshine padded up next to her father, and saw the anger flow in his eyes.

"I have failed," he muttered and she shook her head firmly saying no.

"You haven't, we can fix this, we can fix everything," she fought to reassure him.

"NOTHING CAN BE FIXED!" he roared, the bear within him coming out for just a second.

And then she woke up, screaming, her mews carrying throughout the Spirits den. Her father never yelled at her...never. She waited until her breathing calmed and then walked towards the entrance of the den to see it was morning. Her father stood by the fresh kill pile, it was high up, Starclan had blessed them for now. But what about later? she wondered. Things were going quite wrong too fast.

As Bearstar noticed his daughter come outside he gazed deeply into her eyes and saw the trouble that lay there. "Anything wrong?" he asked, knowing not to push her.

    "Not a thing," she said.

"Good, then find Foxtail and assemble a patrol," he ordered sternly.

"Foxtail?!" she let out the small mew.

  • Deergaze stretched her front paws out and arched her back, she made her way out of the den and sat down, letting the sun warm her pelt.

  • Bearstar walked over to Deergaze, simply to speak to her and ask how things were going. He made his way over and sat beside her, his quiet demeanor filling the air around them. "How are things with you?" he questioned slowly as his daughter waited for their Deputy to approach. Deergaze knew quite a bit, and he wondered if she might know what was troubling Wolfshine.

  • Swanlight sat outside the nursery, her belly swollen with kits. She licked down the fur on her stomach, and rolling onto her other side, to face the camp. She kneaded her paws in tranquility, and purred as the sun touched her pelt.

  • Wolfshine let out a slight sigh as she awaited Foxtail and then seeing that she was around yet she padded over to Swanflight. "How do the kits feel?" she asked, wondering if she needed any herbs for comfort. "They should be coming along soon," she pointed out.

  • OOC: Yup :)

IC: Suddenly Bearstar remembered something quite important and headed towards the nursery. "Eaglekit, would you come out here please," he mewed as he noticed the kitten lying around.

  • The small lynx point kitten looked up at Bearstar. "Huh? Oh, coming, Bearstar!" She got to her paws, her intelligent golden eyes sparkling with curiosity.

  • The white queen purred at Wolfshine. "Feels like I'm carrying around rocks in my belly." She sat up clumsily, and wrapped her tail around her paws. She flicked her attention to Bearstar as she hard the noise from inside the nursery. She poked her head in, and realized what was going on. She stifled a purr and popped back out.

  • "All cats old enough please gather in at the Oakhole," Bearstar called out. The Oakhole was a large oak tree in the middle of the camp with a giant hole in the trunk. The leader of the clan would sit in that hole and make announcements while the other cats gathered below. Bearstar glanced at Eaglekit, "May I?" he was asking permission to pick her up for just a moment.

  • Bearstar picked her up and carried her into the hole of the tree before sitting her down beside him.

Wolfshine gathered in below to see what was going on.

"As you all know, Eaglekit is now six moons. It is time for her to go on the journey that you all took once you reached her age. I will accompany her myself and while I am away my daughter Wolfshine and your deputy Foxtail are in charge. I trust you will treat them with the same respect as me," Bearstar explained to his clan. "We should be back by tomorrow's sun."

  • Swanlight hobbled up to the Oakhole. She sat down 'front of the tree, and wrapped her fluffy tail around her paws. She let out a sigh of remembrance, as she recalled her own Spirit Ceremony. She remembered the moment of Internal bonding with the Swan. She looked up at Bearstar like and eager kit, and glanced at Eaglekit in anticipation (A little immature on her part)

  • (Heehee)

Eaglekit's eyes stretched impossibly wide. "Really? You're coming with me, Bearstar?" Whispered Eaklekit.

  • Wolfshine smiled, "I remember the day we found her, she was as soft and fluffy as ever, light as a feather, and I told Bearstar she would fly. Now, when she comes back, we'll actually get to see her take to the skies," Wolfshine muttered to Swanflight.

  • Bearstar looked at her surprised, "Of course, come then," he picked her up gently and leapt back down. "We shall leave at once, your spirit riles up within you, I feel it," and he could. His bear was anxious to meet the new member of the clan. "You should know I will accompany you in my spirit, it is custom," he explained and then he stepped a few feet back from her and let the roaring creature within him out. He was lifted up into the sky as his skin stretched and changed, the air around him whirled and as he was placed back upon the ground he let a roar to notify all that this was his territory and his clan.

Wolfshine smiled at her father's transformation, it was something she would never get over.

"Are you ready?" Bearstar asked Eaglekit in a strong voice.

  • "Let the bell of freedom ring." Swanlight whispered back. Eaglekit wasn't hers, but she glowed with a mother's pride. She stood up wobbily, and than sat back down. No use in getting up. The kits want her down, she's staying down.

  • OOC: It's pretty late here so I'm gonna head to bed and continue this in the morning.

IC: Wolfshine grinned at Swanflight, "Yes, they'll be here soon and the camp will be alive with kittens," Wolfshine was just as excited.

  • OOC: Same here almost 1 am -o-

IC:"Ha. If they ever come out." She purred, than attempted to stand again. "If somebody told me being a Queen was like this, I wouldn't have gotten pregnant!"

  • Eaglekit felt... something inside of her, struggling to escape. Perhaps it was her spirit! Or maybe it was the mouse that had been disagreeing with her all morning.
