Plot: Amber Lýkos is the only daughter of her two parents, Phillip and Coral Lýkos, also known as the alphas. They recently were mysteriously killed, and now Amber needs to be alpha. Everybody in the pack expects Amber to already have her mate so she'd be ready to rule her pack. But the pressure is killing her, she has no clue where her mate can be. She has a trip to the forest in her wolf form, she happens run into another wolf. Her mate. He is evil and abusive, but she can't help but love him for the fact that they were meant for eachother. Her mate takes her to his pack located in a large stone castle, leaving her old pack behind.

Amber's human form offered no protection from the cold nights. Though it was summer, the nights were unusually cold. She shoved in ear buds and cranked up her iPod to the highest volume possible. She was desperately trying to drain out all of the memories from the recent ceremony with her pack. They had officially announced the deaths of her parents and were now expecting her and her mate to become the next alpha. "The only problem is... I can't find my mate." Amber's body started to itch as she considered turning into her wolf form. She sighed, taking out her ear buds and closing her eyes. Her body started shift and her cold skin soon turned into warm fur. Once she was her wolf, her senses overwhelmed her. It was almost painful how many things she could hear and smell all at once, but she adjusted quickly. Amber then began to run deeper into the forest, weaving through the trees. This time she went into the unknown parts of the woods, the parts that were forbidden.

The fae halted at once, eyeing the brute up and down. At first, Amber's instinct was to curl up her lip and give the wolf a threatening snarl. Until, a pungent scent washed over her, something she has never smelt before. She backed up slowly, like she was afraid, but her hazel eyes said another thing. Amber was more confused than frightened. "Do I know you, h-have I seen you somewhere?" the fae communicated by slightly tilting her head to the side. It was as if they had some sort of psychic bond that made her want to come closer...

This time, Amber's fur bristled and she bared her teeth defensively. "You don't smell it do you? Don't you feel that connection between us?" She hesitantly took a few steps forward searching his deep brown eyes for a reaction. "Anything?" The fae sure felt something, but she was afraid about what it could mean. Amber widened her eyes. It couldn't. He can't be her mate.

She scoffed at the male's attitude, it was hard growing up as the daughter of the alphas and suddenly being treated with such disrespect. "You know what?! I will!" she snapped, her eyes burning with rage. Amber turned around, starting to run away. She stopped and glanced back, her mind begging her to go be near him again. It was so hard so refuse but she managed to have the strength to stay still, but Amber felt like it wasn't even physically possible to take one more step farther from him.

"I can't do this..." she whispered to herself. Maybe if she was in her human form, the urge to stay near him would somewhat fade. Amber closed her eyes, transforming into her human body. She flipped on her black hoodie, covering her red hair and slowly put in her ear buds. She moved her foot, ready to make a step, but no matter how much she concentrated she couldn't do it. "Come on!!" Amber yelled in frustration. She sat down and her hands covered her face. This mate bond just might ruin her, she didn't know how to control it.

Amber could finally take the step, while he was charging at her she could finally move. But she chose to stop, what if she got him close enough that he could actually feel it? Feel the connection that she did. There was always the risk of her getting mauled but it was worth a shot, though she knew she was going to regret it. She faced him and got her iPod to change the song. As he got closer, one side of Amber felt tempted run and the other side wanted to stay still so she could be closer.

Amber collapsed to the forest floor, the air getting knocked out of her lungs. She immediately turned into her wolf form once more and squeezed her eyes shut. A soft whimpering escaped her mouth as she expected his teeth to dig into her skin any second now.

Amber slowly opened her eyes, to find him gone. She stood up and shook off her pelt. Did he feel it? She didn't care at the moment, she just wanted to go home. The fae ran in the opposite direction until she made it to her house. She shifted and reached for her keys in her back pocket. "Sh*t." Amber mumbled as she didn't feel her keys. She must've dropped them without noticing. She quietly walked back to the forest, hearing the occasional snapping sound when her vans stepped on a twig.

"I'll leave when I find my keys." Amber called out. She searched the ground, looking for a metallic shine.
