    April stopped wrapping the last wound and put the small roll of gauze back. "I'm not sure but I wish I knew." she said. She didn't seem like her usual self, she was acting the same way she would do if Gabbie was ever hurt. It worried her that Kiba was hurt and hated everything that the School has ever done. She knew that applying into the School for a bigger pay opportunity was the worst thing she'd done in her life.

    April shrugged, not knowing at all what to do. "I'm not sure." she said. She looked outside the only window in the room and noticed that it was dawn. "I have to get Gabbie ready for school, if anything happens call me over here right away." she said.

    "Alright." May said simply.She wished she could get some sleep at the moment.She was exosted from all that had happened though out the day but felt like she needed to stay up with everyone else to watch over Kiba.

    Kiba lay in the makeshift hospital bed bandaged from head to toe. Bruises covered her arms and torso. Battle scars shone pale silver against her skin from battles long past.
    Nakir the heart broken beast padded into the room, and lay down beside her, making no move to leave her side until she woke up.
    His eyes were filled with pain and sadness.

    April walked up the flight of stairs separating the first floor from the second. She walked into Gabbie's room who was already for the trip to school. "Let's go!" she cried happily and they both exited the room. They walked down the stairs and out the door into the car. April glanced toward the infirmary room window as the car drove out from the driveway.


    "I wish I could help heal, but then anyone I would touch would receive the same wound." Luke said. Along with the shadow manipulation came along what was shadow healing, it could take away a wound but it would need to be transferred to someone else. He thought of it as a curse for being able to heal with shadows and the only way the curse would be useful was in battle.


    Sam noticed May who was worn out and Luke seemed also. He didn't show it but staying up all night wasn't good for any of them. "You guy's head up to the room and I'll keep watch." she said.

    May looked over at Sam when she said that they could go to the rooms.Her vision was slightly blurry and unfocused,the way everyone gets when they have stayed up way to long and everything seems differant but the same.She mouthed the words "Thank you." before turning and slumping out the room.


    May suddenly stopped in the door way and turned and waited to see if anyone else was going to join her on the way to their rooms.Man, was she tired.She was actully debating lazly with her self weather or not to skip th estairs and just sleep on th ecouch or maybe even the floor like she had done other times.

    Luke nodded tiredly and began to walk towards his room. He noticed May at the doorway and stopped walking. "I'm going back up to my room, you?" he asked.


    April and Gabbie drove up to the school a few minutes later. She parked in the parking lot and climbed out of the car. "I'll watch you from here, you just go up to the gate to meet your teacher." she said. Gabbie nodded and ran towards the teacher, then greeted her. April climbed back into the car and drove it out of the parking lot.

    May smiply nodded and waited for him to go first.She had to lean heavly on the door fram not just becasue of how tired she was but also because her woulds were starting to hurt all over again and the ones on her legs made it hard to stand.

    Luke looked at May and noticed her tired state. He wondered about asking if he could help her but that would seem as if he thought she was too weak even though he didn't. "I'll meet you up there, if you need any help just ask." he said.

    May stood up stright and stopped leaning on the door frame even thought it just about killed her legs to put so much weight on them."I'm OK." she said as she began to walk towards the stairs.Each step sent pain shooting up her legs and almost out of her mouth in a scream and whimper but she wasn't about to allow anything like that from her,at lest on infront of everyone else.Stopping at the stair bottem she looked up and winced some as she looked all the way up.Suddenly the couch seemed really nice.

    Luke walked beside her, making sure she would fall or anything. He hated seeing her in any kind of pain and wished that he could use his power to help. "Look, I could help you up the stairs or even carry you." he said and let the last part slip out by accident. He pretended as if he never said something out of the ordinary, but the truth was that he was pretty embarrassed about it.

    May was beyond pride at the moment.Her whole body acked and she felt like she was about to clasp and fall asleep right here on the stairs."Could you?" she whispered looking at him hopping that he wouldn't make fun of her or turn her down or both.

    Luke nodded. He carefully swooped May up into his arms and was careful of not to drop her. The stairs seemed a while up but he knew in reality it wouldn't take that long. "Let's go then." he said and began to take a few steps at a time.

    May didn't move as Luke picked her up and began to clime what seemed to be a never ending stair way.He was much stronger then she had thought if he was able to carry her this easily.She wasn't large by any means and her hollow bones made her even lighter but she was still heavy and she knew that he was tired as well."Thank you.." she whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head agents his shoulder and fell asleep right there in his arms.

    Luke walked up each stepped while holding Ma tightly in his arms. He didn't mind her sleeping in his arms, it was nice to know that she trusted him this much. He reached the final 4 steps where he began to slow down to make sure that he didn't make an extra step to where there was none. His feet reached the top of the staircase and he made his way to her room. A dark shadow loomed over the door knob and it turned quickly to reveal the room that lay inside. He walked into the room and walked over to the bed.

    "Hmmm.." sighed May as she struggled to wake up so she could get into bed.She had a vage sense of where they where and Luke had already carryed her farther then she had expected him to,not that she minded any.

    May opened her eyes and let her arms drop from around Luke's neck."Thanks again.." she said as she looked sleepaly around the room for a moment.It was a dark painted room with what she thought might have been silver colored objects placed around it.It kinda reminded her of her wings.
