    Bramblemask would have blushed if she could have. She did, in fact, have a massive crush on Nightfire. "So... How are ya?"

    (umm, isn't she still in patrol?)


    Cinderstar sat up, holding two shrews in her jaws. she un-dug the mouse and dropped the two shrews beside it. she smiled at her catch, licking the blood off her paws as she placed the dirt back into the hole. she looked around, wondering if there was anymore prey in the rocks


    Hawkpaw followed cinderstar's scent, dragging the large rabbit behind him. he wondered what cinderstar's reaction would be to the large, plump prey he had caught. he purred, closing his eyes with delight and taking a long sniff from the delicious smelling rabbit. he stepped onto the rocks, "cinderstar! cinderstar!" he yowled, not hearing the scaly body moving towards him


    Cinderstar sighed with impatience as she heard her name being yowled. "there goes all he prey around" she muttered, heading towards hawkpaw. but her anger didn't last, she smiled at the apprentices enthusiasm as he dragged the plump prey towards her, "look what i caught!" he purred, dropping the rabbit and sitting down with exhaustion. Cinderstar stepped closer when she finally noticed it. a large diamond headed adder opening it's mouth t strike it's prey. her eyes widen with horror when she saw what the prey was, "HAWKPAW!" she screamed, racing forward.


    Hawkpaw pured, then cowered, hearing his leader scream, "d-did i do something...?" he whimpered, but before he knew it, he was swatted aside, "cinderstar!?" he yelped, landing in a thorny bush. he wriggled free, "what was-" the breath caught in his throat. Cinderstar was shaking, eyes wide with agony. but that wasn't what bothered him. sinking it's fangs into her front leg was a large adder, it's beady eyes filled with coldness, before finally letting go and slithering away. Cinderstar collapsed instantly, two bright red holes in her leg, "NO!"

    "Cinderstar!" The yowls echoed in Thornleaf's mind. He woke with a start. He yawned, and walked out of his den.


    Bramblemask looked up from her paws, her ears pricked. She glanced at Wildface, and, as if on silent command, they raced out of camp to retrieve their leader. Thornleaf followed them.

    hawkpaw crouched over his leader, prodding her fearfully, "please, get up..." he mewled, dodging her flails. he looked up with tear streaked eyes at the upcoming cats, "help! she was bitten by an adder, i-i i dont know what to do!" shame flooded through him, "its all my fault!" he wailed


    Cinderstar thrashed, wailing. the adder's venom coursing through her, burning hotter than lava. she kicked out, not caring what she hit. part of her mind told her to calm down and not let the venom go faster, but fear and agony overwhelmed her conscious.

    oakclaw dropped his Prey at the scream. “Cinderstar!” the deputy yowled. He pushed past the cats and with a gulp of water he latched his mouth onto her bite. he began to suck out the poison.

    Cinderstar blinked back tears, partly seeing what oakclaw was doing, "no...idiot..." she gasped, kicking him back weakly with the last of her strength. she shivered she knew the venom was reaching her heart. she felt herself lose connection with her legs and paws, "worry...fine...lives..." she chocked, not able to say full sentences. she gasped, chocking for air. her first life was slowly slipping


    Hawkpaw wailed, burying his face into his paws and sobbing

    oakclaw snarled at vanilladream. unaware he was crying his head felt woozy. “stars?” he babbled, the poison reaching his brain but no longer lethal. he fell down

    cinderstar shuddered, before laying still.


    Hawkpaw looked at oakclaw then at cinderstar, eyes wide with tears. he prodded his leader hesitantly. her fur was cold and clammy, instant signs of death. Hawkpaw whimpered, stepping over to vanilladream, "i killed her!" he wailed, pressing his face into vanilladream's leg, not caring what the warrior thought


    Cinderstar twitched, opening her eyes. she groaned, her veins still burning but not with lava. she still couldn't feel her legs, but life was flowing back into her. she sighed, laying her head on the cold ground, "stupid snakes..." she muttered

    Hawkpaw pulled away, leaving Vanilladream's pelt soaked. he blinked, rubbing his eyes, "cinderstar?" he asked, watching her struggling to get up. he raced towards her, crying again. he buried his face into her shoulder, knocking her down again, "IMSOSORRYIMSOSORRYIMSOSORRYIMSOSORRYIMSOSORRY!" he wailed


    Cinderstar smiled, nosing the wailing apprentice away, "its ok, im fine, i still have plenty of lives to spare" she licked his ear warmly, "im just glad your ok" she looked at oakclaw, "um...whats wrong with him?" she asked, finally getting to her paws, though her legs were still shaky, and padding over to him

    cinderstar looked at her babbling deputy, smiling slightly he did that...for me? she though, her smile softer. she looked at vanilladream, "bright hawkpaw back to camp and ask thornleaf to give him something for his shock, ill help Oakclaw here"

    “Cinderclaw.oakstar!” he babbled. suddenly he got up and vomited the poison with a groan. “cinderstar your awa-” he was cut off as he threw up again
