If you could hear the ruffle of leaves as a small being scurried along them, you were using your ears. And if you could see a sleek, yet course coat of fur covering a small bodice, then you were using your eyes. But if you were using you mind, surely you would be confused by this occurrence. A young rat, seen in the eyes of any feline as a tasty, and sometimes nasty, though through and through a hearty snack has decided, using a sane mind, to venture into this territory, fully aware of the dangers ahead. Rather, he is not scared, but as calm and assertive as can be, because this odd devil is a manipulative soul that though seems inferior, possesses the calculating thought process of an evil mastermind hidden with in his minuscule cranium. He has perfected his cat language by living in the home of a twoleg who took quite the liking to keeping, and hoarding kittypets. Hearing them converse at an unbearable rate, this rodent, dubbed Roscuro, has learnt to perfect, and with a smooth tongue, coerce many cats using this new found speech, and was ready to live amongst them, for his own ulterior motive. '' Hello? '' He squeaked, using his feline language now. '' I need assistance. '' He knew he couldn't just waltz into their settlement, so this was by far his best bet, and his worst.
Listen, I'm not your next meal fellas. [Leader & or Deputy Needed]

Gallowspaw, to be honest, could hear the rustle of leaves quite well, though she definitely couldn't see the creature. But her nose told her it was a rat. Well, rodents weren't her favorite, but she could stand to catch this one. It wouldn't hurt, after all, and odds were she would be putting it on the fresh-kill pile and not eating it herself. The lithe apprentice had just slipped into the hunting crouch when the animal's squeak caught her attention. If she had been any less compassionate and clever, the blind she-cat would have pounced, but instead stopped and stood up. "Assistance, you say?" Gallowspaw meowed. "With what?"

''Why, with joining your wonderful establishment of course,'' The rat said, letting a smirk play apart the corners of his mouth. Truly, he needed to seem anything but noncommittal in order to appease this feline, as she seemed like more of the emotional, rather than wild, instinctive type. As he finished his basic sentence, he knew that it would be quite the laugh to see a rat live with a group of stray cats, but to him it was nothing but an opportunity to showcase his ideas to a mass of more than just himself. Ready to dart at any second the rat twitched his almond shaped ears and lifted his fleshy nose, trying to sniff for any danger. You know, in the food chain, rats aren't to high up there, and with that being a true fact in this world, a rodent such as him self had to have a lot of caution, and a dash of paranoia.

Midknight padded up to Gallowspaw, glancing from the apprentice to the rat. He had caught the rat's last few words about joining, and was understandably confused. "You're on RiverClan territory. RiverClan is a group of cats, and wildcats, and birds, and other animals. We have some smaller ones, but I want to make sure you know what you're getting yourself into to, y'know?" the assistant deputy said. He didn't have to fight too hard against his hunting instincts; after all, RiverClanners hunted mainly fish. The rat had perhaps chosen the best Clan in terms of his chances of survival.
