A silver tabby sat silently in front of the Apprentices' den, her striped tail swishing violently. Her sea green eyes twinkled with excitement as thoughts streamed through her seven-moon-old mind. I'm going to get a mentor! That will keep my mind off of things. The she-cat thought, watched high rock, her blue paws kneading the already soft ground beneath her. The sun beat down from the clear blue sky, reflecting her young eyes. Her pelt felt hot on her back, but all she could down was rasp her tongue roughly over her shoulder as her mother would of done is she were alive.
Aren't quartz supp[o]se to twinkle like a stars, instead of dimming like coal?

The she-cat glanced at the chocolate tabby and smiled softly. "Hi. I'm Quartzpaw." The apprentice meowed. She wished she had a mentor, but the leader had enough on their paws. For the time being she had been training with other apprentices and getting warriors with out apprentices to train her.
