ic; "No. No. No no no! Leave me alone!" The eagle swooped down toward her once again, it's claws sharper than the canines' fangs at the two-leg places scrapping against her back as she attempted to escape the winged creature. Fear flooded into her as well as agonizing pain as blood began to run down her tortie smoke patched back. The scarlet hue raced down her flanks and began to drip puddles on the camp floor.

"Please," the she-kit begged, crawling deeper into the warrior's den. Her baby azure optics were trained on the open roof above as the eagle circled over her. It's dark, black, beady gaze was trained on her as it shot down once again. Preparing for death, the daughter of Pictureperfect and Trackerjacker shut her eyes saying a last minute pray when a cool breeze slammed into her chest.

Opening her eyes, the she-kit found that she was tightly curled up against her mother's warm belly. Her heart was racing a million beats per second and slowly, but surely, the she-kit removed her tiny from her nose to see out into the nursery. Letting out a relieved sigh, Skykit realized that it had only been a nightmare. Lately, all her dreams had been were nightmares... Horrible ones, where at the last second possible before whatever it was killed her, she'd awake. It was horrifying and the tortie smoke white patched kit didn't know how much more she could take.

Looking out the entrance of the nursery, Sky realized that it was still night. Great. Despite wanting to stay by her mother, the feline knew that she would doze off if she stayed there. Better off wander around the camp for a bit instead of having another nightmare. Rising to her aching paws, the lithe creature nimbly padded out into the center of the camp. Looking to see if she could see the guard at the mouth of the camp, Sky found no mammal in her eyesight. Good. She wanted to be alone and she didn't want questions. She hadn't spoke a word to any soul about her nightmares, and that was the way she wanted to keep it.

Sky glanced up sleepily, gaze hazy and blurred at first. He made out a shape, about as big as himself, leaving the den, and got to his paws drowsily, with no second thoughts. Padding on light paws out of the den, so as not to wake his siblings or anyone else in the den, he blinked at the other. A she-kit, the name of eluded him. Masked in shadows with his smoky black pelt, he was silent for a long moment, just looking her up and down. She seemed familiar, but he couldn't place his paw on it. Well, he supposed they had been sharing the same den for a while now (all of their lives, possibly).

Yawning, he stepped out of the shadows and into the soft moonlight, that shone on his sky-blue eyes like a glare from the sun. Curious, he held his head high and mewed, "Hi - what's your name?"

ic; She hadn't realized that someone had followed her out of the nursery until he spoke, scaring the life out of her. Fur bristling, hackles raised, and teeth bared, the tortie smoke white patched beauty whisked around to face her 'attacker' only to see that it was another kit. So she was a bit edgy, but who could blame her? After a nightmare like that, anyone would be like that. Letting her fur lie flat, sitting calmly down, Skykit's baby azure optics studied the ebony hued tom before her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be hostile, I'm just a bit jumpy. Anyway I'm Skykit, and you are?"

He flinched slightly as she whipped around, tensing as though ready to fight. But as she relaxed, he did, watching her curiously once more. Pretty enough, though he didn't think much of it at this age. He had a few female recruits, some rather pretty, but he just wasn't concerned about appearance. The cat could be ugly as h.ll and he'd still hang out with them - as long as they were cool, of course.

The tom's whiskers twitched as she mentioned her name, and spoke with humour as he replied. "Well that's just weird - my name's Skykit too! But you can call me Adam."

  • Adam? Now where in the muffin did he get that name from Skykit? Nevertheless, the femme let the smile still hold onto her maw as she nodded her head. "That's cool, so why'd you follow me out here?" She said this in a friendly tone, not a hostile one, as curiosity got the better of her.

The Butter King shrugged, sitting down casually. Why had he followed her? Actually, he didn't believe it was for any particular reason - he just had, in the heat of the moment he supposed. "I dunno - just curious I guess. Which reminds me, why'd you come out here?"
