We have had many moons of peace... maybe too many. We have grown idle, and lazy... No longer. The seasonal rains have drenched our home, and flooding is all but a reality. And that is not all. Something lurks in the shadows, something fierce, something horrifying, and something hungry. Have we just had a bad stroke of luck, or are we being punished for the evil deeds of one cat?
Please volunteer cats to die and be killed.

This all started with two cats, Ash and Dawn. The two were mates that lived in a Twolegplace far away from here. They were content, until one day when Dawn was attacked. At that moment they knew that they had to find a new home, one that was safe and lush. They traveled for moons, over mountains, through rivers, but every time the thought they had found somewhere, they were chased away by the inhabitants. They were okay with it though, they knew one day they would find the perfect home. In the meanwhile they kept moving, always moving.
Things were fine and they had kits, Hazel, Sparrow and Moon. And still they hoped for the home of their dreams.. Sadly neither Ash or Dawn lived to see it. Ash was killed by a badger when the kits were three moons old, and Dawn died defending the kits from an eagle when they were eight moons old.... but their dream was still alive, in the hearts of their kits.
It was Moon that found it though, the Valley of Starlight, where the tribe would make their home. The three siblings decided to investigate, and they found the perfect home. Well, almost perfect. There were some rogues in the area, led by a merciless cat named Venom. Venom seemed to think that they whole valley belonged to him, and he waged war on anyone that tried to take even the smallest chunk. He had his followers attack the three travelers.... but something happened; one of them fell in love.
Her name was Sky, and she fell head over tail for Sparrow as soon as she laid eyes on him. She helped as a spy, and the siblings were able to avoid the claws of Venom... at least until Venom found out. Venom was furious, and ordered that Sky be killed immediately... but you see, Sky had friends and some of the cats were fed up with Venom and his ways, they escaped with Sky, and went to Sparrow for help. That was the beginning of the tribe. They made Sky their leader, for her bravery and her heart. She led them to war against Venom, one that is still being waged to this day.

They worship a heaven called the Tribe of Shining Stars, where cats go for being loyal and compassionate during their life. This is a beautiful land where prey is bountiful. It is possible to go here even if you have at some point broken the Code as long as you have a good heart. They also believe in the Tribe of Eternal Darkness, where cats with a dark heart are sent. This is a dark and desolate wasteland that is always hot.
They believe that the stars are the spirits of their ancestors, and that the stars hold the key to everything. They also receive all of their signs from the stars.

The tribe lies in a valley that is completely surrounded by mountains. The valley is lush and mostly flat, with only a few hills. Straight through the valley runs the Moon River, named for the cat who found the valley. The river flows from the North Eastern edge of the valley all the way to the South Western edge of the valley. At the SW edge is the Teardrop Falls that leads to a long gorge. That is where Venom's group makes his home in one of the many caves. Their camp lies in the river, on an island.
Every moon the group heads out together to Spirit Peak, one of the lower mountains. There they spend time with each other where they can feel the presence of their ancestors. This is also where the healer and captain go to speak with their ancestors for guidance.

1.Defend your tribe, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other tribes, but your loyalty must remain to your tribe, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2.Do not hunt or trespass on another tribe's territory.
3.Wise ones, mothers, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the wise ones. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the wise ones, mothers, and kits are eating.
4.Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to the Tribe of Shining Stars for its life.
5.A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6.Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after changing rank.
7.A cat cannot be made lieutenant without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. After the old Captain dies the new one will be chosen by the healer with the guidance from the Tribe of Shining Stars, this cat may or may not be lieutenant.
9.After the death or retirement of the lieutenant, the new lieutenant must be chosen before moonhigh.
10.Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
11.No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different tribe.
12.The word of the Captain is the code.
13.An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the Code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
14. When a cat becomes Captain their name will be changed to something space related. Ex. Moon, Star.. etc.
15. The Captain may not have a mate or kits.
16. Kits and apprentices only have one word names, and gain the other after they are made warriors.
