  • Ah, there's the reflexes I been looking for. Crestfallen thought as she was slapped lightly by a fluffy paw. As her apprentice's own paw snapped out in response, she done the same as Lilacpaw did, and lifted her paw and aimed to hit her over the head.

[ic] she leapt back, the paw scraping across her nose. growling, she leapt for her mentor again quickly, hopefully before she would try to score a blow.

  • Crestfallen saw her apprentice move back, and was thankful for the space between them. Space was a necissity for fighting. Looking back up and focusing her mind on the task, she noticed her apprentice hurling closer, and before she knew it she was facing the sky. Crestfallen tried to kick of the apprentice, dragging her paws up her chest into her neck area like she done before. Fortunately, she had longer legs. In a real battle that would've been deadly.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]she was thrown off of her mentor, landing on her back. winded, she leapt back to her paws.

  • taking this chance, Crestfallen rolled back to her paws and thought of something. She waited for a few heartbeats then broke out into a charge, lunging at her apprentice aiming to but her head into her chest. If she was sucsessful she would then try to rake her sheathed paws down her belly and sides.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
she leapt, surprised about the attack. she barley missed it, her mentor hitting her belly.
winded once again, she used her paws, pretending to dig her claws into her mentor's flank.

  • As her head skimmed her apprentice's belly, a surge of pride rushed through her veins. Her apprentice will most certainly pass. As Lilacpaw lashed out her paw, Crestfallen had barely any reaction time and she felt a paw brush her flank. Being realistic, she buckled her knees and leaned to one side, hissing in a false pain

Lashing out her own paw, she aimed to batter her shoulder with one flailing sheathed paw. Her other paw was holding herself up. If she were to use that paw as well she would be pinned down.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
she felt crestfallen's pads touch her skin as she scored light blows on her shoulder. she rolled, out of the way, and she had gotten up facing crestfallen. if it wasn't now, it certainly wouldn't be later. she charged at her mentor, not very fast of course, but in an attempt to pin her down again.

  • Crestfallen got up to her paws steadily as her apprentice retreated a bit backwards. Shaking a few leafs and a burr from her pelt, she noticed her apprentice again charging for her. She leaped out of the way just in time as Lilacpaw charged forward and as she passed, Crestfallen aimed a blow down her side.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
she pretended to feel pain, limping forward, panting. "am i done yet?" she asked between breaths.

  • Crestfallen tilted her head. "Already?" She mewed. Flicking her tail she hesitated for a moment, thinking. "Sure why not." She finally replied. "I believe you pass anyway."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
"s-sorry, i'm just really tired for some reason." lilacpaw mewed. "thank you though, i'm looking forward to my next assesment."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
she nodded, as she followed her mentor back to camp.

  • Cerstfallen crawled under the ferns hanging over the warriors den and crawled inside, tired, and craving a good sleep.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
lilacpaw skipped dinner, her sides and legs aching. crawling into the apprentice den, she laid down.

  • Crestfallen squinted her closed eyes as light reflected on her eyelids. Moving into a sitting position, she realized she had slept till sunhigh. Should Lilacpaw train today?...She thought. She was going to let her apprentice get a day off, she finally decided.

As she poked her head through the ferns and expected to find Lilacpaw dead asleep, but her eyes didn't adjust yet as she mewed, "Lilacpaw?" "Lilacpaw, I'm giving you a day off, I don't think both of us could handle another day of training." She flicked her tail and padded out and to the fresh-kill pile.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0][align=center][color=#AE70ED][sup]
she opened her eyes a little bit, barely able to register who was speaking to her and what they were saying. "huh? oh, alright." she mewed, falling back asleep.

  • Waiting a little while she almost didn't realize her apprentice fell asleep again. Lashing her tail, her own eyes drooped down and she stifled a tiring yawn. Why even bother?she thought.
