Thomas was there in an instant "Sh*t" he said as he saw Caleb's wound, it was bad... very bad

Caleb half joked "I've had worse scrapes than this"

"There's an antidote for the infection but it will take us a week to get it and Caleb doesn't have that long..." Thomas said, not knowing what to do....then he looked around at the vampires "We need to get Caleb blood first"

Everyone looked at Aunlyn, Caleb shook his head "No.." he didn't want... to.. hurt.. her.. his breathing was shallow, blood had pooled around him

Caleb's eyes turned a deep blue, the scent of blood made all the vampires mouths water, but Caleb needed it... his trembling hands took her hand and took Aunlyn's wrist, placing it close to his mouth. His fangs dug deep into the wound and for the first time Caleb had a taste of Aunlyn's blood, he gave a quiet and hardly noticeable moan at the taste while closing his eyes

Thomas watch the wound heal, the infection still evident

Thomas glanced at Aunlyn, still no reaction? He rolled his eyes and let the two be and the vampires followed him

Caleb felt Aunlyn's blood burn his throat... drow blood was different than human blood... blood sharing was personal one you only did with your true love

"I'm sure he's better" Thomas said as he reappeared, "Someone needs to find that antidote for the infection

The wound had healed, the infection was still spreading... Caleb let go of Aunlyn's wrist, he shouldn't have drank her blood. It had been a mistake, he got up and said quite painfully "Let's get back to the mansion"

Joseph didn't know what to say

Thomas helped Caleb walk and they talked in low voices "So, no reaction... at all?" Thomas asked quietly
Caleb shook his head, "Nope... she would've shown emotion, if she were supposed to be my future mate... but she didn't do anything.. it's like she felt nothing..." Caleb said painfully, the infection becoming worse
Thomas could feel Caleb's temperature rising

Caleb silently watched Nyx, but not knowing he was staring... he was remembering.... when he needed blood the only blood he could keep down was Aunlyn's...

They made it as far as the tent, because the infection was just spreading too fast.... Thomas helped Caleb lay down, Caleb was speaking, "There's one thing I'm certain, not showing her emotions might just make me not love her.... I just don't want it to feel like she doesn't care, I know she does... but did you see her face? Not a drop of concern..."
"But she gave you her blood" Thomas mentioned
Caleb sighed "I knew she should've let me die"

Caleb glanced over at Aunlyn

Caleb never heard Aunlyn for what he was still talking to Thomas, "I'm going to find Nyx and see what we can do about the infection" Thomas said walking away

Caleb's eyes questioned Aunlyn's words, if I ever knew what?? He wondered, but what he didn't realize is that Aunlyn remembered something he didn't.... the infection had been too much and he had such a high fever that he never remembered Aunlyn crying over him begging someone to find the antidote, nearly threatening Thomas to get it because he had thought Caleb was too far gone.... he didn't remember Aunlyn sleeping by his side, constantly checking on him to make sure he was still alive

"But I have no telling what your eye color means" Caleb said rather hoarsely, for his mouth was beginning to dry

"Caleb has been bitten by multiple rabid werewolves and the infection is spreading fast... he won't last three days..." Thomas said knowing going for the antidote was too far fetched... by the time they would get it, Caleb would already be dead, "We need the antidote and you're the only one who knows where it is, but what I know is that to get it would take a week and Caleb doesn't have that long..."
