  • OOC: (Habitat preference as in forest, mountain, seas, etc.) Recap- Jade and Cat (the shadowmorphers) were taken away to a camp/defense by the Outside Hyrets and are right now about to leave and head out to do some scouting. Lynera is in Faeric's Hollow becoming corrupt, Owen is in the mountains conversing with Daefir (he just gained the abilities of a wisp), and Leopard is in a ravine in the mountains doing a form of testing to join Daefir.

IC: Jack led Jade and Cat outside into the Sidonia forests while the large gates closed roughly behind them and some other swordsmen and bowmen came up to join the medium-sized party.

Shaleka scrambled clumsily down the mountainside, trying hard to overcome her fear of heights and hoping the woman would remain out of consciousness until she was long gone.

Lynera howled over and over again, searching out some form of a blood scent but not sure why. Her crazed eyes looked all over the place, especially at the tops of the trees.

  • Jack let one of the bowmen take the lead while he went back to where Jade and Cat were, in the middle of a throng of men. The leader directed them all opposite Faeric's Hollow and the mountains, instead heading towards the lake region.

Daefir nodded, pointing toward some taller parts of the mountain range going south. "Teleport there, just pick a pass, and clear it out of anything not on my side," he declared.

Lynera unintentionally was following the green wisp toward Sidonia, running now through Faeric's Hollow without much care or notice of the blood she was losing from her flank wound.

Shaleka practically slid down the rocky slope, getting closer to the mountain base and her destination.

  • I followed. "What do you want us to do?" I asked.

I nodded in agreement to Jade's question.

I teleported to the tallest mountain, near the tip, where there was a forest.

  • Lynera caught the faint scent of shadowmorphers mixed in with humans, wondering why it was familiar and dangerous at the same time. She suddenly saw the green wisp disappear. She decided blankly to follow the scent trail but not attack until she was close enough to make a better judgement.

"Considering you two are shadowmorphers, we want you two to try and catch a wisp. Disguise yourselves or something, whatever shadowmorphers can do," Jack said quietly, taking out his sword and looking as if he were braced for an attack. Emerala appeared above the group, narrowing her gaze when she recognized the two shadowmorphers from the night before that had gotten too close to Daefir. "Time to play!" She said in excitement before letting out a screech, bringing the men to their knees.

Shaleka landed heavily on level ground, pulling her hood back up over her head and gazing at the vast expanse of forests before her, some of it dead, some of it alive.

Daefir observed Owen leave before turning his attention back to Leopard.

  • I screamed and fell to my knees, covering my ears.

I toppled, laying on my back with my fingers in my ears.

I began to search the forest.

  • Lynera flinched at the close screech of the wisp, dimly trying to clear her joggled mind of the sounds and voices. "I'm losing it..." She murmured, trailing off as the words seemed heavy on her tongue, like it was a burden just to talk. She took her chances when she caught the small green wisp hanging above the mainly human group, leaping at the nearest bowmen with a snarl, breaking the man's arm like a stick while the wisp vanished to a nearby tree.

Shaleka realized the dead part must be Faeric's Hollow and ventured down into the dead forest, wondering whether anything alive and not corrupt even existed in the once lovely forest.

  • Leopard reached the small cave. She shuddered as she slipped throigh the entrance,.breathing in dank wet air. The young neko crawled along the narrow path, occassionally slipping.

  • The yellow wisp sped up his pace, watching as the water churned beneath him and formed an underground river. "Keep up, for things do await." The wisp called to Leopard.

  • I shifted into a puma and leapt at the wisp, but fell back to the ground, because it was too high up. "Curse you!" I roared.

I morphed into a shadow, flying up and engulfing the wisp.

I looked around, and saw a beast lurking in the shadows. Cautiously, I began to creep up to it.

  • Lynera abandoned the bowmen when a swordsman started throwing daggers her way, dodging the majority of the daggers, and the ones that did hit her only scraped her sides. "Just focus on catching the wisp and bringing it back to camp, we'll distract the half!" Jack shouted just as Lynera jumped on his back and brought him to the ground, clawing away at the man's back.

Emerala attempted to screech again, but the shadowmorpher that had engulfed her silenced her, making it harder for her try fleeing the scene she'd stirred up.

  • I nodded and morphed onto a shadow, also wrapping around the wisp. I began to fly back to the settlement.

I was dragged along my Jade.

  • Lynera stopped briefly and started running to where the wisp had gone, barely visible due to the shadowmorphers engulfing it in their shadows. Lynera snarled and jumped off of Jack, following the shadowmorphers and the wisp, only to be stopped by the men holding their arrows and firing at her sides. She turned to face them, baring her teeth and charging toward the nearest swordsman.

Emerala struggled to escape the shadowmorphers, but no matter how hard she tried to teleport elsehwhere, it wasn't possible. "Release me!" She shouted in outrage.

    You don't know me.

I hissed and continued moving toward the camp. Cat moved with me, struggling to keep up and not be dragged away. I was flying slowly and carefully, making sure not to break my form and let the wisp escape.

Owen strutted up to the creature and stared at it. It had the body of a wolf, but the head of a dragon. "Who are you?" he inquired.
"I am Kizu." it responded, hissing. "Who are you?"
"My name is Owen. I work for Daefir."
"Ahhh, Daefir. I am neither for or against him."
Owen nodded and then began to walk away, continuing through the forest in search of enemies.

  • Lynera snarled again when one of them tried to throw a chain around her neck. It tightened and slowed her down, but she yanked just hard enough that the man released the chain. She yowled and started slashing and biting at anyone that got in her way while she ran, trying to get away when she realized she was severely outnumbered. "Curse the corrupt." Jack gasped as he rose shakily to his feet, watching the half disappear back to Faeric's Hollow.

Emerala continued to try screaming, ramming herself into the two shadowmorphers and trying to make contact with Daefir.

    You don't know me.

I began to shake and screamed to the men, "What do we do with it?"

Owen looked around, then sat in a tree.

  • Leppard nodded. She followed running faster, her hands feeling the wet walls.

Squirrel went up to mith. "Whats up? You look really upset."

    Moth shook her head. "S'nothing."

  • Lynera coughed up blood, feeling pain all over from the arrows lodged in her sides and the chain looped tightly around her neck. She was furious and confused, the smell of blood overwhelming as she tried forcing away her instincts and the voices.

"Hold it as long as you can, it seems weak in your grasp!" Jack hollered up to them, feeling bitter when he saw Tryan's broken arm. He wanted to figure out how to control it. Emerala finally managed to burst free when she happened to ram herself right through a gap in the shadowmorpher's trap. She got out and attempted to transport, but found she still couldn't and was slowly drifting down toward the men.

The yellow wisp continued onward until he came across a chasm where the water became a waterfall. He simply drifted to the other side where the tunnel continued, curious to see if the neko could make the five foot long leap over the chasm before he left.

  • Leopard stardd at the gap. She coulnd'nt swim well, so jumping in was stupid. She looked at the oitjutting ledge that was shortening the five foot gap. She stepped back, giving herself a decent run. She ran ans leapt, managing to grab hold of the ledge with both hands. For a few seconds, she was hanging in a balance of life and death, then she climbed onto the other side, and continueing with new reservstion.

    (recap for squirrel and moth?))
