Out of the nursery came Caskit, excitement and curiosity boiling over in him like usual. The mostly white kit's bright blue eyes jumped rapidly from one thing to another as he strolled out, acting as if he owned the place. Taking a seat and coiling his tail delicately around his paws he groomed what fur on his chest he could reach.

It's what she did and nobody seemed to question her. The small kit had been on her way back to the nursery when she stumbled upon Caskit. Now she wasn't one for conversing with others, but perhaps today was an odd day. Nervously shuffling her alabaster paws and forcing her ears to stay vertical and not pressed against her cranium, she sat down with her claws unsheathed. "Um, hello. . ." She said quietly, casting her soon-to-be mix-matched optics to her small paws. She nervously chewed on her rubbery lower lip, her muscles tensing. She typically didn't talk much, so why now? Maybe it was just because it was the socially acceptable thing to do. Yes, yes. . . That had to be it. [/fancypost]

Socially acceptable wasn't a great card to play with Caskit, considering the young tom didn't understand social norms at all. He knew you were supposed to greet others and that's about it. Casting his pale blue gaze towards Mariel, he didn't give much of a facial expression. He flicked his tail repeatedly, beating it against the ground more than anything as he studied the other kit. "Hi!" he started out excitedly, "I'm Caskit! What's your name? You look like a Mabel." He forced a smile--something he thought to be polite--as he kept his gaze still.

She stared down at her paws, swallowing. "Um, hi. . ." She began, clenching her teeth to keep her lower lip from trembling. "I-I'm Mariel, b-but if you want you c-can call me Mabel." {{ooc; omg Mariel is so cute xDD
Caskit tilted his head to the side, studying the she-kit for a moment before responding in a still very enthusiastic tone, "I'll call ya Mariel since that's your name! Why is that your name?" Kind of a stupid question, but not to Caskit. He had no clue the origins of his name--perhaps he'd ask mother or father. Later though. And although it had been a moment since his last words he added real quickly, "It's a very cool name."

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup] [ ooc ] i know <33 [ /ooc ]
[ ic ] Where did her name come from? That was a peculiar question, to say the least. Kneading her dainty paws against the ground, she'd slowly raise her shoulders in a meek shrug, chewing on the inside of her cheek. "M-my dad named me. . ." She said quietly. Where he got the name? Who knew. Most of her siblings had odd names -- only Blackkit had a clan name. Her mother had died giving birth to her, so he his head probably wasn't in the right place at the time. "Th-thanks. You're name's cool, t-too." She whispered, for it seemed like the best thing to say. The lissome girl's stutter wasn't a medical thing at all -- it was just her jittery nerves getting the best of her. "Um, who are you p-parents, if you don't mind my a-asking?" She asked, hoping it wasn't too out of place for her to say. And if it was, she'd most likely just sulk in a corner and cry. Just a regular day, right?
-
Caskit kept a wide smile plastered on his face, "Of course I don't mind you asking, silly," he started with a small girlish giggle, "My mommy is Batwing. She's really cool. And my daddy is Tiresias. He's really cool too." He wasn't to terribly close with either of his parents but that didn't mean he didn't love them to no end. "Who are your parents?" Maybe he knew them!

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]Batwing and Tiresias? Now she wasn't familiar with others around camp, mostly because she preferred the solitary life over the hustle and bustle life any day, but those she was pretty sure Tiresias was a very high position and Batwing rung a bittersweet bell in her mind. Snapping back into reality, Marie would blink her full slate eyes. Her parents? "Um. . . Well my dad's Matrix, and my mom. . . ?" Uh-oh. Who was her mother again? "M. . . Mercerluminescent? -- N-no, Mercuryluminescence." She said, letting out a drawn in breath, sort of thankful she at least almost remembered her mother's name. Thank god! She would've looked like a complete idiot! . . . Well, she sort of already shot that horse in the face with her stutter and inability to remember her own parent's name. "Do you wanna play a game?" She blurted, and even she was surprised [by lack of stutter and boldness, if you will] before flattening her ears against her skull. "Y-you don't have to." She whispered, shuffling her paws awkwardly. Why couldn't she just learn her place?
-
Caskit nodded slowly. Neither of her parent's names rung a bell in his mind, but then again, he didn't know the majority of cats in the Clan. He made an effort to try and get to known everyone at least to some extent, but there was only so much time in the day. He did notice the she-kit's stutter on her mom's name, which seemed a little strange to him, but he didn't comment on it. Not really out of kindness, more on the fact she had already moved on and asked him a question. He smiled once again and tilted his head, "What kind of game?" he questioned back.

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]Relief sweeping over the lissome torbie, a small smile would creep upon her maw, her ears slowly rising to their normal position. "Two truths and a lie?" She said, her voice more confident, albeit only in the slightest way. She'd heard of the game and seemed interesting enough; why not try it for herself? "Somebody says three things -- t-two truths and one lie. Then the other cat has to guess the lie." She said, blinking her full, twin blue-grey optics, pleased with herself for knowing the game. "Up for it?" She asked, head tilted ever so slightly to the side. She wasn't one for active games, mostly because her paw was broken, and she wasn't the most athletic feline. . . ever.
>>muse death. ;n;

{{ooc; low muse over here too xD
Caskit tilted his head and then smiled slightly, straightening back up and nodding. "Sure! It sounds like fun. But you go first." He wasn't familiar with the game, but it sounded interesting enough.

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]Blinking her azure eyes, she ran her tongue over her ivories, thinking. Hmm. . . "Okay. Let's see." She muttered, mostly to herself. There were a few things she could say, but was looking for hardest ones to answer. "Oh! I got it." She said, flicking her tail to and fro happily. "My mom was Coppermine's sister, a boar broke my paw, and I have a really big pet dog." She said, her voice not at all wavering on any of the three statements. A smug look was clear on her face as she kneaded the ground under her padded paws, awaiting an answer.
-
Caskit tilted his head, thinking. The first one sounded reasonable enough, so he didn't really consider stating that one as a lie. The second and third though sounded off to him, but the third especially. He shrugged and answered slowly, "I'm guessing...the third one? I think that's the lie."

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]With a smug smile planted firmly on her alabaster maw, the girl let out a soft giggle. "Nope! He doesn't have a name, though." She said, feeling a swell of pride. "He was the one that broke my paw, not a boar" She explained coolly, her eyes twinkling. Was she actually having fun? Mariel having fun? It seemed impossible, yet it was happening. "Your turn," she said, her throat humming as a soft purr arose. This wasn't half bad. . .
-
Caskit smiled but tilted his head once again, looking a little confused. She kept a pet that broke her paw? And that pet was a dog? He couldn't imagine a dog ever listening to him. It'd probably just try and eat his ear or something. But he straightened up and pushed the thought aside when Mariel announced it was his turn. He spent a moment thinking. It was easy to come up with a lie, but the truths were harder for some reason. Slowly he began, "Okay..." he started, pausing only briefly, "One of my siblings is already an apprentice, my name was Catkit before I asked for it to be changed, and I'm an Ocelot hybrid." His voice wavered on a bit on all three, but since it was on all of them, it wasn't really any sort of give away to which was untrue.

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]It was a complicated story, really. But he was better now. At least she hoped. . . Giving her head a small shake to rid herself of the thought, she'd listen to his three statements. They all sounded weird, so there was no dead giveaway. He didn't look too old, so his sibling would most likely still be a kit. Then again, there were always the kits that excelled at everything. Then there was Catkit -- it was an odd name, so she wouldn't be too shocked if he had changed it. But still, he didn't seem old enough to change his name. And an ocelot hybrid? Was Tiresais or Batwing an ocelot? Hmm. "Um, the first one. . . ?" She asked finally, unsure of herself.
-
He shook his head, looking pleased for fooling her. "Nope! My brother, Killkit, now Killpaw, is an apprentice." Caskit honestly wasn't sure how his brother was already an apprentice, as he only knew of his brother's apprenticeship from his RPer stalking of all his siblings, but he was one no less. "The second one is the lie. Catkit is actually one of my other sibling's names. I've always been good ol' Caskit." He chuckled lightly, thinking about the last one. Tiresias was in fact an ocelot, leaving Caskit as a hybrid. The good thing about that is that he would end up being a little bigger than his fully domestic cat clanmates, but as of now he was still about the same size as everyone around him. Focusing back towards Mariel he smiled, "Wanna go again?"

❝MARIEL ?!❞
[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent; width: 300px][sup]Accepting defeat, Mariel let out a small giggle. "Sure," she meowed, smile placed lightly on her alabaster maw. Hmm. "My half-brother is a second tier, none of my siblings have clan names, and I have seven nieces and nephews." She said, getting a bit unsure of herself. She really did not know many things about herself. And with that post, her roleplayer's muse swan dived off a cliff.
-
Caskit paused for a moment. They all seemed a little out there. As far as he knew, cats had to be at least apprentices to become second tiers, and she looked rather young...then again, one of Caskit's siblings was an apprentice already. But then he realized she said half-sibiling, which means it wasn't in the same litter, right? Which meant it could of been plenty-old-enough to be a second tier. The second one seemed reasonable, as it at least seemed that all kits in a litter would have either Clan names or not, not a mix. The nieces and nephews one, though...it didn't seem realistic to him."Um...the third one?" he decided to go with that one. Surely none of her siblings had kits already, right?
{{ooc; xD it's hard to think of truths for him since he's just a kit and doesn't have much of a backstory yet xD

Another smug smile crossed her maw. Twice in a row! "Nope! Half-brother's kits. The second one was a lie -- I have a sibling named Blackkit." She stated, smiling all the while. She was good at this, huh? She sat, expectantly awaiting either the tomkit's three 'facts' or declining the next round. Either way, she was fine/
