A sigh came from the lip glossed lips of the blonde. It was storming outside, and she had been in the same cab for hours. Her next stop was in the middle of nowhere, in the panhandle of Texas. She was to visit her Grandparents for the Summer. Jayden, was her name, and she drew designs on the window from the condensation. Nothing was to entertain the 19 year old. She had graduated High School last year, not deciding which college to go to since she had 2 scholarships. 1 from UT, which was The University Of Texas, and NYU, which was New York University. The two were good colleges, and had taught many of the famous people today. Jayden gazed out of the cleared spots of the window, only being able to see finely cut green grass as far as the eye could see. It was a barren wasteland to her, yet such a wonderful place to her dear old Grandparents.

The cab had finally stopped, Jayden's head resting against the glass window, almost in a perfect slumber. She opened her eyes, realizing that she had finally gotten there. The blonde opened the door quickly after taking her seatbelt off. She heard the trunk pop open, revealing her stuff. She grabbed her luggage, which was only about 2 suitcases and a couple of bags. The drive way was muddy, her Vans shoes getting muddy. "Oh gosh, no.. I paid a lot of money for them!" She mumbled, finally reaching the stairs to the old house. It had two floors, yet the space was mostly taken by furniture. Inside the house was extremely country, picture frames made of rusted barbed wire, old pictures of rodeo bull riders, and every once in a while, you'd find a couple of pictures of Jayden's Grandfather and his RanchHand. Jayden finally got her luggage on the porch, ringing the doorbell a few times. No answer. She knocked on the door, waiting for her Grandfather or Grandma to answer.

~*~*~The Plot is that the RanchHand and the Girl meet, become friends later on after he shows her around the Ranch, shows her how to do some things, etc. They become best friends, spending all their free time with each other, and soon fall in love. It's easy! xD. Remember, this is Semi Advanced to Advanced to either 5+ sentences each post! Have fun!~*~*~

Hunter had hung out in the barn while the storm raged on. He had a piece of golden straw sticking out of his mouth and his black hat was tipped down over his bright hazel eyes. He was sitting on a few bales of hay and leaning against the side of the paled red barn. A sharp wind hit the falling rain, causing it to fall against the 21 year old's red, black and white flannel shirt and dark washed jeans. He'd been soundly asleep, but had been awoken when rain droplets accumulated on his rugged cheeks.
He flinched and looked up. The door to the barn was wide open as the storm began to dissipate. He gave an inward huff and stood up from his comfortable spot in the hay before tipping his hat back to its original position. He stretched his arms high up into the air when his vivid eyes caught something moving in the distance. He twitched up an inquisitive eyebrow as he realized that it was a car. No one came to visit the ranch any more, so who was this? His curiosity was definitely piqued and he stood at the entrance of the barn, leaning against the frame of the door. A ray of sunlight hit his face and he shook his head slightly.

Jayden's Grandma heard a knock on the door, and she stood from the table, walking over to the door, opening it to see her soaked granddaughter. "You might not wanna hug me right now, Gran. I'm soaked." Jayden said with a small smile. "I'll hug you anyway, dearie." Gran said, hugging Jayden. The blonde hugged her Gran lightly. Gran finally let go, and walked back inside. Jayden walked inside as well, hugging her Grandpa.

Hunter brushed away a bit of his dirty blonde hair away from his forehead and turned away from the farm house in the distance. He walked back through the barn, his eyes resting on each of the horses in the stalls. He found a jet black stallion with a white diamond in between it's deep brown eyes and white stockings. He ran his hand along the stallion's back and he gave a sly smile before grabbing the horse's saddle and reigns. He quickly saddled up the horse and pulled himself up onto the large animal. He held onto the reigns loosely and spurred the horse slightly.

Jayden's Grandpa looked to her. "Want some breakfast?" He asked her. "No thanks, I ate breakfast back in New York. I'll be in the guest room if either of you need me." She said with a smile. Jayden grabbed her luggage, carrying it up stairs to the guest room. She opened the door, a smile on her face. The walls were still a sunflower yellow, along with some pictures of her horse, Mist. Mist was a white and black paint, which Jayden has had for about 3 years now. Jayden unpacked everything into the huge dresser.

  • (Lullaby is my profile picture, yes she is a horse.)

Lullaby raced through the fields of the ranch, tail fluttering through he air like a black streamer. Her hooves thundered the ground, but she wasn't sweating, not yet. She raced forward, mane flying through the air. She let out a powerful neigh, slowing into a canter. She watched the stallion get saddled up and she whinnied, trotting forward. She nosed Hunter and whinnied agin, watching him.
