[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=#1E2225; border-width: 2px; overflow: auto; height: 400px; width: 400px;] Information Naming System: It is actually uncommon for clan-like names such as Eagleblaze to be in this clan despite the fact it is one. The names are normally the Ancient naming system such as Fallen Leaves, Jay’s Wings, Feather Heart, etc. It is common to have loner names including foreign names. Religion: The cats believe in any religion including Starclan, but they prefer religions that require sacrifices or other harsh methods out. Since there are so many religions they called it the Divine and cats are free to openly practice their religion.

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=#1E2225; border-width: 2px; overflow: auto; height: 400px; width: 400px;] History The era of Lanternclan started back all to way to ancient China and that was before it was even known as modern-day China. Since the clan has been through many changes and wars let us start to when Lanternclan was merely a thought in the wind. The starting of the clans was back when Pàn jūns, which were the descent of the actual Mongols in Chinese history cause chaos for the Empire of Shang. The Empire had stood tall and pride for many years, but when Èmó meaning Demon in Chinese took it over the cats that live there were enslaved and treated poorly. When a young gray tabby tom named Yǒngqì meaning Courage in Chinese rose up and created a revolution of his own that took 7 years known as the Seven Destinies War they defeated the Rebels and that was the beginning of the clans. A few years later after the fall of the Empire of Shang a new group started from its ashes known as the Xīn yīdài zhōngduì, which translate to: New Generations of Clans. During this time, the true celebration with the Zodiac Signs, which is why Zodiac Guardians exist today was born from a tom named Zodiac. The group was happy and peaceful, but the problem was there were no leaders. Some of the cats believe that leadership was the cause of all of their problems and if they got rid of it then they will have peace forever. Sadly after Zodiac died an ambitious brown tabby tom named Atem, which means Pharaoh in Japanese had a disillusion dream. His dream was to bring back the era where cats rule in his home country, which was Egypt itself. No one knows how or why the tom ended up in China, but the cat always was going on and on about how the humans worship them because they believe them to be some kind of God or something, but it wasn’t until the dogs ruined it for them when they chase them out and make them simple modern-day pets. Atem’s goal was enslaved the Xīn yīdài zhōngduì cats and become their new leader or Pharaoh as he prefer to be called and slowly, but surely take over the human race and go back to the time cats had power and possibly with select genetics become as big as their big cat ancestors once more. A golden and white tom named Lantern saw this chaos as Atem gather followers and the tom was a kittypet. He enjoyed the peace and freedom they had and the tom actually love humans. The same went for Zodiac who introduced the Zodiac Celebrates with them in the sense to join the humans in their celebration. He gathered a group of his own followers and when he soon had enough challenged Atem. Atem being hard-headed and arrogant as he was accepted, but he lost within one day since many of his followers were either killed, join Lantern’s side, or retreated. When Atem asked how he won Lantern reply was this “Open your eyes Atem. I say this for it is because your greed and arrogance has blinded you. We are no group of original cats, but ones that have been guided by our passion, determination, and willingness to rejoice in our happiness moments ever since the beginning of time. We are not the cats of traditions, but we are the cats that lights the night.” Ever since that day Lantern started Lanternclan after hearing about the clans somewhere and became the first leader for it known as Lanternstar. The clan has stayed strong and happy ever since. [fancypost] |

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=#1E2225; border-width: 2px; overflow: auto; height: 400px; width: 400px;] Territory Mansion Sector The clan has two divisions of territory. There is what they called the Mansion Sector and the Western Hills Sector. The Mansion Sector is where the Emperor, Empress, Princes, Princesses, bishops, 5 members of the council, Zodiac Guardians, 6 members of the Artists, 5 members of the merchants, 5 members of the monks, Doctor and their students, any healers, and any low rank live. The Mansion is considered the main sector and if needed a meeting will be held there. Despite the fact some of the clan lives in a mansion and the clan can seem to act like its own clan just with two different selections, the clan is still pretty united and do not treat each other differently. The purpose for the mansion in the first place was because the Western Hills Sector would get too crowded the more cats pour in so the scouts discovered this mansion 2 miles from the other area and just became the main area. The mansion is guarded by heavily dense forest from the Western Hills Sector and sitting on a tall yet steep hill, but the trees are no longer in the middle of the area like they used to be before the clan discovered it and found out it was abandoned. The first largest house is in the middle known as the King’s House. This is where the Emperor, Empress, Princes, and Princesses live. Next to the King’s house is the training area, which has two different selections and is known as the Gym. A fighting/defending selection and just a hunting selection, which the fighting selection is next to the King’s house while the hunting selection is next to the fighting selection and near the next building. The hunting selection tends to have a lot of mice, rats, and other animals that wander in there. These two selections along with the courtyard are the only open areas. It is known as the Commoners’ House. It is slightly smaller than the rest of the houses, but it is the third largest house. The hunters, scouts, and thieves are on the top floor. The nurses, kits, pawns of any rank expect Doctors or Healer ones, and elders are on the second floor. The assassins, knights, and rooks are on the third floor. To reach the different floors and rooms, which happen to be all large you can use the stairs. Next to the Commoners’ House is where the Artists, Bishops, Council, Merchants, and Zodiac Guardians. The Council lives on the top floor along with the Bishops. Artists and Zodiac Guardians are on the second floor. The Merchants and Messengers are on the third floor. This house, which is the second largest is known as the Awaken House. On the left of the King’s House is known as the Medics’ House. The only one that lives here is the Doctor and the healers with their pawn. They keep all of their herbal supplies here. Next to the Medics’ House is the courtyard, which is an arc with columns around it. The Emperor and Empress are the only ones that are inside of the area unless they are promoting someone or doing something where the cat can be inside the area with them. This is the area where they address the entire clan including in the Western Hill Sector. Next to the courtyard is the Prisoners’ House, which the area is heavily guarded and is the smallest house where the clan keeps their prisoners. They are waiting on what the clan decides to do with them. The two separate houses away from the nine selections are the Monks’ House and the Storage Room. The two houses are behind the King’s House and training selections. The Monks’ House is very much like the Medics’ House for the only thing that lives here is the five chosen Monks themselves. The house next to them is the Storage Room, which stores prey and other items. Merchants normally are in charge of this area, but anyone is free to get prey. Western Hills Sector The cats that live in the Western Hills, an extension of the Taihang mountain range from Hebei Province. A mix of deciduous and coniferous forests and highland meadows cover much of the Western Hills tend to make their homes in the high trees to avoid being in danger from the ground. Mountain streams feed into the Yongding and Juma Rivers, which flow through the Western Hills to irrigate the plains of Beijing, the capital of China. The cats live in the deeper parts of the area to keep away from the Twolegs that might mine in coal mines or do several other activities in the area. [/fancypost] |

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=#1E2225; border-width: 2px; overflow: auto; height: 400px; width: 400px;] Prey Voles: There are one of the forest preys that the clan will eat. They are common. Shrews: There are one of the forest preys that the clan will eat. They are somewhat common. Rabbits: There are one of the open fields in the area prey that the clan will eat. They are common around those areas, but less common in the forest. Mice: They are one of the forest preys that the clan will eat. They are highly common. Squirrels: They are one of the forest preys that the clan will eat. They are somewhat common. Fishes: Only available in the rivers, they are highly common there. Birds: They are more common than the mice, but a bit harder to catch since they can fly. Birds of Prey: They are less common and much harder to catch. The bird normally seen is Golden Eagles soaring around. It is rare for them to land, but if they do it will take a group to catch one. Frogs: They are one of the river preys in the area. They are less common to find. Crabs: They are extremely rare, but if you found one catching one successfully is a great honor. Crabs are hard to catch due to their pinchers and they will show up around the river area. However you might get lucky if you snatch one from the humans. Lobsters: They are extremely rare and will only be seen in the markets. Snatching one from a human won’t be easy. Chinese Shrimp: They are extremely rare for they live in a different region far away from here. However there are a lot at the market, but snatching one from a human won’t be easy. Threats Giant Pandas: It is quite common to see Giant Pandas only in the bamboo forest, which are a few miles from here in the east direction. These bears are harmless unlike other bears, but it is still best not to provoke them due to their massive size. Chinese Tigers: Because Tigers are mostly in Asia they are huge threat to cats. However there are times a tiger might join the clan, which they are the most naïve to the area. These cats are impossible to take down and you will need brains and wits to outsmart these cats for brute strength from a cat is like a fly trying to take down a spider. Chinese Alligators: They are not common, but they are dangers if they show up around some of the swamp-like areas or ponds in the area. If you see one best to avoid it and hope it passes by. Badgers: They might show up sometimes and when they do they are just as dangerous as any other badger in the world. Wolves: There are wolves, but the most you will see is at the Zoo in Beijing, China somewhere. In the wild they are not common, but they can show up in packs or loners. Japanese Red Foxes: They can show up every so often and although they are sub-species of red foxes they are still no different from normal Red foxes as far as dangerous they can be. Twolegs: Despite the fact the clan will have a lot of interaction with them than most clans they are still classified as a thread for what they are capable of. Twolegs are everywhere and is super common to see them again. There are more animals so check out this website to see a lot more of them.

[fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=#1E2225; border-width: 2px; overflow: auto; height: 400px; width: 400px;] Ceremonies New Seasons: The New Seasons is an honorable and great ceremony that celebrates the freedom under a great evil named Èmó meaning Demon in Chinese. The brown tom was descent from the actual Mongols in Chinese history and they control the Empire of Shang. The Empire stood tall and pride for many years, but after a battle they lost to the Mongol Cats, which were known as Pàn jūn, which means Rebels in Chinese. The Pàn jūn enslaved the entire race and mistreated them making them work in horrible conditions while they had the good life. It wasn’t long before a young gray tabby tom named Yǒngqì meaning Courage in Chinese rose up against the ruler and created a revolution of his own. It took 7 years and Yǒngqì did died after 3 years pass, but his heart, spirit, and dedication to freeing the enslaved Empire pay off and they gain their freedom. After the Empire that was the start of the clan, whose name has been change many many times, but it is the official start of this clan. The Dance of the Spirits Festival: The clan takes great pride in honoring their pass love ones. They visit their love ones’ graves and have a party. As strange as that sounds the festival has some influence with Cinco de Mayo {May 5, Day of the Dead} as well as the Chinese Festival, Qing Ming for they believe their love ones come down at a certain point and spend time with them for one day. They want to honor and celebrate the day they live and the dead they pass. They like to use small dragon boats that the twolegs use or make their own water boat bonfire and float it on the river. The Moon, Sun, and the Stars: Over millions or more years ago, a young princess known as Yang was beautiful and lives with the highest family in China. Her parents were strict and wish for her to do her studies so that she could rule her kingdom and to be marry to another rich family known as Míngxīng. A poor slave worker, who job was to work in the herbal fields named Yin normally work for Yang’s rich parents and to help support his elderly mother. It wasn’t long until the two fell in love and secretly visited each other every night in a forest. It was forbidden for slaves to have mates with one of the higher ranks. If caught doing so would mean death, but neither Yin nor Yang seem to care. It wasn’t long before the marriage between Míngxīng and Yang was suppose to happen, but three days before the wedding Yin and Yang ran off. Yang’s parents send out guards to find her and Míngxīng insisted on coming along. It wasn’t long before he found the couple in a cave sleeping next to each other and in a rage of fury Míngxīng killed Yin right in front of Yang. Yang not wanting anything to do with the begging tom ran off and thrown herself off a cliff. They say she was crying so much she form a river below her just before she hit the ground. When she died she was reanimated into a fish in front of Míngxīng and swam off near a red and white fish that happened to be Yin. They swam an eternal dance and when Míngxīng realized how happy they were he started crying. These fishes came near him and bless him with another chance by allowing him to join them in the water. It was said that once Míngxīng did that he created the stars while Yin created the sun and Yang created the Moon becoming the sole spirits of them. Koi Fish are honor to this day and it is forbidden to eat them for they say that Yin and Yang continue to bring balance and harmony, and the Koi fish, which they turn into show that harmony, peace, and grace. During this ceremony the cats will gather all sorts of shiny and colorful things including stealing things from the twolegs and performing a dance and roleplay to honor this or else the world may not have a Sun, Moon, or Stars. This festival normally opens to strangers, alliances, and under strict regulations enemies as long as they behavior themselves. It is a time of peace and understanding. Something that is cherishes highly in this clan. Traditional Beginnings: The cats in the clan are granted rune-like symbols from their ancestors no matter where they came from. They will usually show up at birth and if a cat born outside of the clan doesn’t have one then the cats can go the Emperor or Empress. Depending on the gender if the cat is a girl the Empress will grant her their symbol by simply touching noses with them. No matter if a cat is clan-born or not when they arrive to the clan they are welcome in a traditional dance known as Fortune Cat or Zhāo cái māo in Chinese, where the dancers perform leaps and spins and other performances in a similar fashion to an Ice skater dancing and ballet dancing. If an outsider the cats get to choose the path of the Mansion or the path of the forest. Either way they will be welcome fully after the dance is over. It is said this Fortune Cat dance brings good luck and new beginnings to the clan. There are five of them known as Wood, Earth, Fire, Water, and Metal. They are the Chinese Zodiac elements. The rune symbols are chosen based on the cat’s personality {However Earth will be combined with Wood since they are similar} not their birthday and it is an honor to have them. If a cat is ever exiled from the clan for something the Emperor or Empress depending on gender hast the power to take it away thanks to the spirits. The Zodiac Guardians not only do they have a rune symbol, but they also have a Chinese Symbol for the animal they represent.
Wood is one of the Chinese Zodiacs elements. The Chinese symbol for wood is 木. In this case since Earth’s personality wasn’t included the Chinese symbol for Earth is 地球 and will still count as the same personality as wood. The symbol is born anywhere on the cat’s body for their personality. Cats born under the wood element are always looking to take on new tasks and expand their minds. You accept others for who they are and are very non-judgmental. Sometimes, though, in social situations you may blend into the crowd and become unseen. Express yourself so that your voice is heard and your inner strength is revealed. Fire is one of the Chinese Zodiacs elements. The Chinese symbol for fire is 火. The symbol is born anywhere on the cat’s body for their personality. Cats born under the fire element are natural-born leaders. You always tend to never be alone, as people always want to be around you. New adventures excite you because you know that you will always be in charge of the task. You are always very passionate in all of your relationships, especially love, and have a tendency to always speak your mind. Water is one of the Chinese Zodiacs elements. The Chinese symbol for water is 水. The symbol is born anywhere on the cat’s body for their personality. Cats born under the water element tend to be the peacemakers of the group. While you may have your own agenda, you listen quietly to the concerns of others, and calmly try to persuade them to see your point of view. People always want to be in your presence, as you are known for treating others well. Make sure not to seem too passive, as sometimes your calmness can make you a target for others to try to take advantage of you. Metal is one of the Chinese Zodiacs elements. The Chinese symbol for metal is 金属. The symbol is born anywhere on the cat’s body for their personality. Cats born under the metal element definitely have two sides. In public, you wish to be seen as the person who is successful and doing well for yourself. However, in private, you wish to be secluded and are perfectly content in your surroundings, as long as they are of comfort to you. Try to take time to balance your success with your personal life and remember that everyone can not conform to how you think they should be; no matter how much they want to please you.
The Gift: When a cat is promoted to Assassin, Scout, Hunter, Knight, Rook, or Thief it is celebrated in a feast and the Artists as well as any other cat will perform all sorts of things such dancing, singing, and even fire-eating. They are able to rest for the night for one of the clan’s differences between a normal clan is there is no night vigil. The reason for this is the next day the promoted cat(s) will travel to the only volcano known as Mount Kouren in the morning and normally will arrive at nighttime. The journey is long and hard for they must pass through a mountain, which there is a small path that leads to a tunnel. The tunnel is a difficult maze that takes strategy and quick-thinking to get through. If not it might cost you your live with the animals and unknown traps such as cliffs in the cave. Once they get pass the tunnel they must travel across a river that can be icy cold since it is near the mountains and they tend to snow there. They will have to figure out ways such using rocks, shortcuts, and anything else to get pass this large and deep body of water. If not you will drown or if you make it, but end up freezing died from frostbite or a severe cold if not treated soon. The next and final is a forest, but unlike the Western Hill some say it is the living Dark Forest because the area is surprisely dark with so much dense forest and pines. It is even worse at night and the animals are dangerous. When they get pass the forest they will enter a dormant volcano and mediate so that they may communicate with the spirits and understand their place in the clan. They do this by touching a large Obsidian rock in the middle of the volcano on the bottom level. They stay there for the rest of the night and in the morning they will wake up back in their homes for the spirits have guided the cats back home through their sleep. For Semi-High ranks or High Ranks for they must do the same thing as a Doctor, Healer, or Monk must do. They will travel to the Monk Temple in the forest area only and stay there for the night to communicate and understand their place there. This is because they already made it this far to complete the long and hard journey from when they were first promoted to a low rank. This is also where the Emperor and Empress get their nine lives or where the King and Queen get their five lives. The Zodiac Guardians will be granted their Zodiac Rune symbol from the animal they are name from here. For the Pawns of any rank they are granted a feast, but they do not have to travel to the Mount Kouren and/or the Temple until they are promoted to a low rank then possibly a high rank for the Temple. Caretakers and Nurses are shower with gifts to show how much they are needed and the clan is grateful to them. The Vows When two cats become mates it is considered a big deal unlike in most clans and everybody there to support them. The cats actually have a wedding like twolegs and one of the monks helps the cats fully united. The monk (or monks if there is more than one marriage happening) said something similar to what twoleg addressing the soon to be husband and wife say. When they are fully married they are spend out of the camp to spend the day in the city, which happens to be capital of China, Beijing or somewhere within or out of the territory. They may visit allies with special permission from the leader(s), but they are not allow to go to enemy territory. The next day the cats will return as fully united mates. This ceremony helps the two cats bond more by spending the whole day together since clan duties can get in the way.
Zi (rat) Zi Personality: Imaginative, generous, successful, popular, and curious Chou Personality: Confident, honest, patient, conservative, strong Yin Personality: Sensitive, tolerant, brave, active, resilient Mao Personality: Affectionate, kind, gentle, compassionate, merciful Chen Personality: Enthusiastic, intelligent, lively, energetic, and innovative Si Personality: Charming, intuitive, romantic, highly perceptive, polite Wu Personality: Diligent, friendly, sophisticated, talented, clever Wei Personality: Artistic, calm, reserved, happy, kind Shen Personality: Witty, lively, flexible, humorous, and curious You Personality: Shrewd, honest, communicative, motivated, and punctual Xu Personality: Loyal, honest, responsible, courageous, and warm-hearted Hai Personality: Sincere, tolerant, hard-working, honest, optimistic
Year of the Zodiacs: This strange and unusual holiday is one everyone in the clan look forward too. The cats here also have their own “Year of the ___” tradition and used to the Chinese calendar. When this happen the cats like to have their own parade and invite their alliances if they brave enough to join it. The reason is because these cats actually go into the streets and perform with the twolegs in their own “Year of the ___” parade. It is the only time the cats come out and join twolegs side by side and most of the twolegs love it for they think the clan is street performers. Some of the clan goes into the crowd and watch, but there are a few that perform with the humans. It is joyful and peaceful times that seem to one month of a certain year unite cats and twolegs together. However this does not mean the clan is kittypets and likes to spend their time in the streets with the humans for they are still cautious of certain ones. The starting of this tradition is when a young tom named Zodiac, a black and gray tom with blue eyes and wanted to do something to able to work with their twolegs to remember where they came from, which is either in the streets or living with twolegs. This was before the clan fully got its name for it was known as Xīn yīdài zhōngduì, which translate to: New Generations of Clans. [/fancypost] |

Emperor: The male leader of the clan. Their word is law and makes most of the final decisions for the group. They live in the Mansion, but they can travel between sectors. They do have nine lives oddly. Empress: The mate of the Emperor and must be a female. They have equal rights to make their decisions final as well when leading the group. They live in the Mansion, but they can travel between sectors. They do have nine lives oddly. King: The backup leader for the Emperor. They make sure the rules set by the Emperor and Empress is being place. They cannot give punishments or make laws, but they can enforce the laws. They do not become the next Emperor when the current one dies and the King must be pick by the Emperor himself. They do not have to be mates with the Queen for they will not be the next Emperor. They are in charge of the Western Hills Sector only. They can travel between sectors. The King is only granted five lives. Queen: The backup leader for the Empress. They make sure the rules set by the Emperor and Empress is being place. They cannot give punishments or make laws. They do not become the next Emperor when the current one dies and the Queen must be pick by the Empress herself. They do not have to be mates with the King for they will not be the next Empress. They are in charge of the Western Hills Sector only. They can travel between sectors. The Queen is only granted five lives. Princes: They are the sons of the Emperor and Empress only. Either one of their sons or daughters is chosen to become the next Emperor or Empress. They will pick their mates depending on who is chosen to become the Emperor or Empress. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually which is only the Mansion Sector. Princesses: They are the daughters of the Emperor and Empress only. Either one of their daughters or their sons is chosen to become the next Emperor or Empress. They will pick their mates depending on who is chosen to become the Emperor or Empress. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually, which is only the Mansion Sector. Heirs: They are the sons or daughters of the Queen and King only. These kits have a higher chance to be chosen by the Emperor and Empress in the future to become the King or Queen. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually, which is only the Western Hills Sector. Royal Coronation: This rank is a true honor to have for it is a very limited rank. The reason for this is because you must be the family member no matter if you are a kit or not of one of the High or Semi-High ranks. The only exceptions would be the Princes and Princesses and the Heirs for they are a whole separate rank altogether due to the fact they are the sons and daughters of the Emperor and Empresses only or the King and Queen if heirs. Other than that if you have any family relations with Emperor, Empress, or other high ranks this will be added as like your secondary rank. It is the only high rank with HP or Semi-HP relations that can belong to one of the two sectors. Bishops: They are like deputies expect they do not become the next Emperor or Empress when they died, but they can lead patrols or issue them. There are ten different types of bishops. There is the bishop known as the Commander Bishop or just Commander that leads the knights. There is the Protector Bishop or just Protector, who leads the Rooks. There is the Stalker Bishop or just Stalker, who leads the hunters. There is the Ninja Bishop or just Ninja, who leads the Assassins. There is the Explorer Bishop or just Explorer, who leads the scouts, and there is the Bandit Bishop, that leads the thieves. There is two of each type for one of each of the five will stay at the Mansion, but the other five will stay in the Forest territory. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. Doctor: The leader of the Healers they are experts at healing and herbal knowledge. They train one student that they see that seems to have potential at such a young age. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. There are only two of them and only one can be in each sector. Healers: The healers are ones that help the Doctor. Their numbers are unlimited. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. There are fourteen of them, which eight of them stay in one of the sectors. One of the eight of the sector there is trains one of the eight students from that sector. Doctor Student: The student that show early potential for becoming an expert in the medical field and is train by the Doctor themselves. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually with special permission. There are only two of them and only one can be in each sector. Healer Students: Pawns training to become healers. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually with special permission. There are fourteen of them, which eight of them stay in one of the sectors. One of the eight of the sector there is trained by one of the eight healers from that sector. Council: The council are elders and instantly granted a high rank for the clan truly takes “respecting your elders.” to a whole new level. They are granted this for their wisdom and dedication to the clan for they wouldn’t have gotten this far if they were otherwise a traitor or something else. They are guiders and peacekeepers keeping peace and order in the clan and tend to be a little bit spiritual connected as well although this rank is easy to grab not many live to see their elder days so there are very few elders and a great honor if you made it this far. However in some cases you might see a few young cats since being an elder doesn’t always mean being old, but retiring. Normally these are cats that have a disorder like being blind or deaf. Semi-High Ranks Zodiac Guardians: The Zodiac Guardians are the time-keepers of the group. They keep track of the history in the clan and also use special stones and other materials to make a calendar to keep track when the next The Year of Zodiac is. When their animal year comes up they are to lead and help prepare the parade. They are very spiritual and they are one of the few in the clan to have a loner and/or clan name. The reason for this is the cat is named after one of the Chinese Zodiac Signs according to their personality. Dragon is considered the highest and most honorable. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector, which happens to be only the Mansion. Due to other cats possibly having names like just Tiger or Tigerclaw Zodiac Guardians have a normal name, which can be anything as long as it has the name of the animal they are name after somewhere. Their second name is the Chinese names, which is what they are address mostly as. So someone named Snakefang might be called Si most of the time, which means Snake in Chinese. Artists: Artists are highly value in the clan for they are the entertainers. They do all sorts of art and performance including drawing from making their own paint with berries and other materials or having the thieves steal paint from twolegs, dancing, singing, making their own music, and yes even fire-eating. These cats are also repairers and builders so they are call to help fix things around the area as well. There are normally twelve of them, but six are in the Mansion and six are in the Western Hill sector. Monks: The Monks are the spiritual leaders of the group and normally live a life of solitude. They live in the highest building so they can watch everyone below, but they still can interact with the rest of their clan. They are the ones that receive omens and prophecies instead of the Doctors or Healers and must translate what they mean so the group knows what is going on. There are ten of them. Five of them stay in the Mansion in the Monks’ House while the other Five stay in the Western Hill sector on a temple. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. Merchants: These cats go around and collect items such as shining gems and other things that the twolegs may have left behind or something interesting from nature. They are useful when it comes to helping the Artists collect items for ceremonies, but their main job is to trade off items with other groups. This is useful with the clan’s alliances for it helps keep a strong bond between the groups as well as communication since they are common to see around. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. There are ten all together, but five of them belong to one of the sectors. Messengers: Messengers are cats that are normally swift and good listeners at what they do. They would have to be for they are used to spend messages either to or from the different sectors or other foreign allies/enemies. They are not really good fighters so normally someone who is an Assassin, Knight, or Rook is with them. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. There are twelve of them, but six of them belong to one of the sectors. Low Ranks Knights: The knights are simply the fighters of the group. They are normally the ones that go fight into battles mostly outside from home, but they will still fight near home as well alongside the Rooks. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. They are unlimited. Rooks: The rooks are the defenders of the group. They normally guard the high ranks as well as stay close to home to defend everyone else, but they can go into battle as well. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. They are unlimited. Assassins: They are spies that are masters at stealth and understanding their surroundings. They have quick lightning reflexes and speed and are masters at using the sky (like jumping on trees not flying), water, and land to ambush their opponents quickly and smoothly. They are sometimes known as Dark agents for they live their life in the shadows, but that doesn’t make them evil. They are just used to solitude and training very hard to become better at what they do. They will also spy on enemy groups and gather any information they can. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their sector eventually. They are unlimited. Hunters: They hunt for the group. They can travel between sectors however they will return to their sector (whether Mansion or Western Hill) eventually. They are unlimited. Thieves: Normally stealing is bad, but in this case it is a good thing. These cats are expert at being escape artist and using stealth to their advantage. They work closely with the Assassins, Artists, and Merchants for they steal items from twolegs and sometimes enemy clans if it is for a good reason. They will steal anything including silk and other shiny objects they can use for their parades and ceremonies. Sometimes they might steal prey or something, but the cats try not to steal from other clans unless it is needed. Thieves are comfortable with the city life or else they could not do their job properly if they were nervous about being around twolegs all of the time. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their sector eventually. They are unlimited. Scouts: They are the lookouts for the group. They also explore the territory for new shortcuts or anything that might be useful to the group to expand their territory. They can travel between sectors however they will return to their sector (whether Mansion or Western Hill) eventually. They are unlimited. Pawns: They are apprentices training to become an Assassin, Knight, Rook, Hunter, Scout, or Thief. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually, but must have permission first from one of the High Ranks (normally the Emperor and Empress or King and Queen) to travel. They are unlimited. Caretakers: A cat that has decided to spend their time helping raise other Nurses’ kits so they can get out more. The caretakers can be she-cats or toms since they are normally raising other kits, but she-cats can become pregnant and become Nurses. This is a rank that can be best suited for those that do not wish to be any of the other low or high ranks, but still wish to be useful and love kits. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sector eventually. They are unlimited. Nurses: The she-cats expecting or raising kits. They can travel between sectors, but must return to their own sectors eventually. They are unlimited. Kits: The future and youth of the clan. They become Pawns when they turn six moons old. They are not allow outside of the camp unless with an adult. They can only travel between sectors with an adult. They are unlimited. Prisoners: Cats that were captured or being on trail with the clan. Sometimes they might join the clan if they prove themselves or return back to their own with a price. However if they are too dangerous to let loose on the streets then the group will kill them. This is somewhat limited since the clan might not be in a lot of battles or capture anyone unless needed.
