  • I'm new here and I absolutely adore roleplaying. The site I used to roleplay with had a very different style and I guess you could say I'm lost. D: I've been looking around and I've already submitted my form for a few cats. The only problem is, I have no idea how everything is connected. How do the Clans meet and how do other people know what's going on with all of these different threads? It's very confusing. ??? A little advice would be nice. In my opinion, I am a pretty literate roleplayer. I've been roleplaying on that one site for a good 2 years. I hope I'll be able to find my way in this maze of threads and get used to it because I love Warriors. Nice to meet y'all and can't wait until I actually know what I"m doing.

  • Hi Shadowwolf! Yes we are very different from a lot of Warriors roleplays, but the entirety of the main game is interconnected. Think of it as just like your old game, but more subplots, more places, more Clans, just...more :P And more fun I think, but that is my probably biased opinion. :)

We are beginner through advanced, with a special set of boards for advanced players who wish to roleplay at a higher level. If you are unsure, start just one of your cats out in a plot and go from there. Try not to focus on the enormity of everything going on at once. Each of us just plays in the select areas they pick, and our plots develop and bump into each other. It is essentually a world to roleplay in that has been developed by each player contributing to the whole.

    I hope this helps! Thanks for choosing to give our game a try, it might take a little getting used to if you are used to a smaller game but we actually began as one of those smaller games and great steadily over time. Our site is now 6 years old, and some of the cat families in our games spam 8 generations or more with a family tree that includes now 16 generations. {Not all the characters are on it! Though if you stick with the game chances are your cats will eventually "marry into" it or you may adopt one or two from it!}

  • Thank you so much. :D So now all I have to do is wait for my cats to be approved and then?...find a way to fit into ThunderClan? XD

  • We can help you out in finding a good thread/place if you want it. Getting started is always the roughest part of an RPG.In the meantime I will go have a look at the bio room.

We also send a set of quick links to help new players get started, when they first get their character approved. Because this site has so many boards it can feel daunting to navigate so we use these links to make it easier, but they are totally optional.

  • My Characters have been approved by another moderator. Apparently, I filled out the information right. haha. I already posted a link looking for mentors for them and if you could help me get started from there, I'd love it.
    One quick question.
One of my cats, Emberkit, has always become a Medicine Cat Apprentice. I'm not sure if that's possible, but if it is, that would be great. I can make her younger to have that work if there's already a medicine cat apprentice in ThunderClan.

  • It's always possible here if you don't mind her being one in a fan made clan. That's one reason we allow anyone to make their own clan if they like, because there are many members {though not all 10,000 are active :P only a couple hundred are} and only so many powerful positions in the main clans.

There is no med apprentice at this time in Thunderclan, but believe me you're not the only one eying that position :P. I wish we could give it to everyone who want it, but...Though I will say, there has begun a trend of having more than one assistant to each medicine cat, but most Clans still do not do this and Snowpaw has yet to pick even one apprentice, he is a very newly made medicine cat himself, after Chimaeraflame recently ran away without warning.

  • That's perfectly fine. I'm sure Emberkit could fit in as a normal apprentice. Perhaps things could work out where she completes warrior training and finds herself a medicine cat. I'm also new so I shouldn't be trying to take positions where older users could use. ^.^ As I've learned from experience, roleplaying takes you to unexpected courses with your characters. How should I pop into ThunderClan with the new kitties? XD I have someone on my other thread that offered to make a mentor for one of my cats.

  • Whoa, I just kept scrolling down only to meet another uberly long post. xD Hi Shadowwolf! I'm Kaylen, if you have any questions or just feel like Rping feel free to drop me a Pm. I don't bite that hard. xD

  • Thanks Kaylen and I guess they would be long posts. I tend to blabber when I'm confused, even through writing. o.o;; And thanks XD

  • lol. Long posts are welcomed here, if you are in doubt how to start, just imagine your cat waking up and starting their day and start a new thread. I make regular sweeps of new players whose threads are not getting replies yet and then post to the resource areas to help them get matched up to players, but I encourage you to use the RP request boards, found up in this category out front, as a resource for finding someone to post to, if you don't get a reply. You are welcome to use the advanced RP request boards even if your characters are not approved as advanced bios, we have a lot of advanced in the general game too.

  • Muah! New member! Hello! ;D I've been RPing for about 3-4 years now, and I absolutely L-O-V-E it! So yeah. Welcome, and call me anything you wish.... Haha. But something I can recognize. ;D

    Anyways,

    Love lots,

  • Thanks guys. I finally got into some of the roleplays and it's not giving me a headache as I thought it would haha. I have a few non-warrior cat roleplays going on, too. It's a lot of fun here and I am, in fact, enjoying myself. :D I just have one question.
I have a warrior that needs an apprentice and I put a thread up. I have a user that's interested and she wants my cat, Flamestrike, to mentor her cat, Ghostpaw. Do I need to post another thread and have it appoved to make it official?

  • You can handle that however you like! Basically it's just a board where you go find a RP partner, once you have, you two are free to arrange together where you'll start your thread and when :)
