  • It was a fine day, that was for sure. It was slightly overcast and the wind was blowing a cool breeze, but it honestly seemed like nothing was able to dampen this tomcat's mood. Not even the fact that he was breaking the rule that stated he was supposed to be inside with the other kits (to be entirely honest, Hinterkit here had actually forgotten)! One thing had led to another after placing around on the hotel patio and eventually he had followed a lonely grasshopper that hopped on off into the distance. He was now racing across the grainy, cream-colored sand without a care in the world, taking in a deep breath of the saltiness that lingered about in the fresh sea air. A scarf was clutched protectively between his teeth, dragging along sand as it to brushed against the ocean shore. No matter - Hinterkit was pretty carefree when it came to cleanliness and would wash that excess sand of later.

Hinterkit slowed down to a trot as he realized that he had strayed much to far away from camp. The beach slowly changed from sandy dunes and sea sand to an evergreen forest that meant the DarkClan border was near. The fiery red tabby, however, did not know this and was actually in a minor state of confusion. He had never received apprentice training and was a bit naive, to say the least. But Hinterkit simply stuck with his blanket, lingering around and shifting his weight from foot to foot. Ah well, might as well do something useful. An imaginary lightbulb flashed through the tomcat's mind and soon enough he trotted off into oblivion, much closer to the DarkClan border than intended.

Hinterkit's scuttled after a small lizard that climbed over a couple pebbles with it's suction cup-like feet, giggling in a sweet little tone that added to his intent innocence. He was completely oblivious to what was going on around him; all that the tabby thought was that there was just him and that lizard playing a game of cat and mouse.

  • ooc-- My posts suck compared to yours. xD
The young kit was out adventuring alone, prowling around the forest, following an oblivious mouse. Pouncing gently on the mouse, it squirmed out of his small grip, but Scavvy didn't care. He was out of the warm, overheated camp, into the cooler outer camp. Shoving his way through the trees, he chased butterflies and moths. It would take a while to find his way back.
Lavenderbreeze was probably freaking out at the moment. The brown cat's tabby fur was uneven and strange, but he liked it that way. It was thick and comforting, even on a summer's day. Though, none of his littermates exactly conversed with him, unless necessary, Scavengerkit loved his family. His amber eyes looked around, glancing for something that wasn't there, until he saw a kit that wasn't familiar.
Trotting happily over to the tom, Scavenger grinned. "Hi! What's your name?" He asked, innocence in his voice, pure and clear.

Naww, not at all; your posts are lovely. <3
I'm so excited for this plot omg. C:

Hinterkit skidded to a quick halt as the scaly lizard scuttled off, out of the tomcat's direct line of sight. Aw well, hopefully he'd find it again and they could continue their little game of chase. His flashing eyes traced the area, head curiously tilting as he sniffed a nearby pine tree. His pink paw pads prickled a little from the tiny prickly pines that had fallen from the evergreens, causing this one savannah to giggle and jump upwards in surprise. The territory was certainly different from the beach sand in SunClan and was in no way the same to the harsh, cracked desert that BloodClan called home. But it was nice to have some change, even if it were just for a small period of time.

Hinterkit's head looked up and he squeaked, jumping back a bit as he heard an unfamiliar voice greet him and ask for his name. The kitten loosened up as he realized that this voice belonged to a happy tomcat about the same age as him, one who seemed to possess a lot of the same personality traits as Hinterkit himself: elatedness and a willing to meet and chat with others. The red spotted tabby bounded forward with his big front paws, not as all shy around the DarkClanner and not really knowing that he was from another clan. "Hiya! I'm Hinterkit, son of Permafrost and Mairead? What's your name? Are you also from SunClan? You smell a little different than I do." Hinterkit giggled like a really sweetie pie, sniffing himself before sniffing the air around him, skipping around Scavengerkit as if they were already the best of pals.

  • ooc-- Thank you. :) Your posts have so much detail! :D

    ic--
Scavengerkit looked at the bouncing kit. "I'm Scavengerkit, son of Lavenderbreeze and Timesquare!" The kit meowed, proudly. His grandmother was the leader. He had heard a few words about Permafrost from the elder's gossip, but he couldn't remember what they were. The kit wasn't very attractive, but he would be handsome in his apprentice age. His eyes looked cracked and messed up, he kind of leaned to one side since those were the shorter legs than the other ones. "I'm a DarkClanner! It's nice to meet you. I've never met a SunClan cat before. Is it sunny over there?" The kit's voice was young. These were the days he would long for when he was older, not like the complicated ones he would be put through, eventually.

  • OOC:
    Thanks so much! <3

Hinterkit continued to bound around this DarkClan kitten in ebullient state, not judging the tomcat at even even though he had realized that he wasn't in the best of shape. Hinterkit had to be honest, he wasn't the most attractive youngster around at all. Perhaps adorable, but not handsome. He had long, lanky savannah legs that he had gotten from his serval father and wide honey eyes but not much else. Slender fur was another factor, but you could surely bet that his orange spotted pelt was completely full of bits of sea sand and salt.

"It's really sunny in SunClan! How did you know?" Hinterkit stopped his bouncing around to plop himself on the ground in front of this other kitten, mouth slightly agape. He was right! How had this DarkClanner known that it was so sunny in SunClan? Naive little Hinterkit found this exciting and new, so grinned over towards the other kitten and nuzzled his scarf. "That's so cool! Are you really a DarkClanner? Is this your territory? It's dark! Oh, is it dark in DarkClan? It's like we're the opposite: sunny in SunClan and dark in DarkClan!" He could already feel him and this kitten veering on the edge of being good friends.
