She couldnt help but surpass a mrrow of amusement. she sighed. "Darn rogues" she muttered as she leaped in after him. She took his scruff and shoved him on the shore, an annoyed look on her face. "You again!" she growled. She swiped the rabbit away. The rabbit was now a soggy mess.

Shadowpaw sat, waiting for her mentor to show up.
-
he bared his teeth, wheezing as he lay on the ground. the water made his fur stick to his sides, revealing his skinny form. dirt and dust turned the dripping water brown as his amber gaze glared at the she-cat. he was too weak to fight, but that didnt mean he wasn't going to give her a scratch or two, "what...do....you...want!?" he snarl/wheezed
-
Eclipsedfate padded in. "Okay come at me" he mewed
-
Shadowpaw got up, and bunched her hind legs. She leaped at Eclipsefate, trying to knock him off balance, claws sheathed.
-
"hey buddy it was your call to pass the border dont get cross with me" she mewed idley. "Id rip you to pieces but you dont look like youd put up much of a fight" she studied her claws as she spoke and yawned. Seeing his skinny body made a pang of sympathy shoot through her. "Man...how about we throw this rabbit away and il catch you a fish? Ever wanted to learn how to fish?" she yawned
-
he didnt reply, glaring icyly at her as he regained his breath. he glanced around quickly, figuring out a way of escape. without the rabbit he could easily outrun the clan cat, but the thought of a fish made his mouth water. he continued to glare at her, however.
-
"cat got your tongue?" she replied glaring back. Easily she swiped her paw into the river and caught a plump carp. She tossed it to him. "Want to learn how to fish..? Ive got nothing better to do"
He knocked her belly swaying a bit but standing. "Harder." he suggested
-
"Awesome catch"!! meowed Snowgazee -
he glared warily at her, inching towards the fish. he didn't understand why she was helping him, but the prey was right there. Shadow hadn't eaten in a quarter moon, he couldn't stand just watching the prey. he lunged at the carp, tearing it hungrily. he ate it quickly, leaping away and glaring at the she-cat again, the carp's blood dripping from his maw's
-
"Im not going to hurt you" she huffed. things at camp were so boring so she kept talking. "You gotta come closer to learn" she mewed. "Okay so stand far enough back so your shadow doesnt relfect on the river and the fish see it. When you see one you quickly swipe it to the left, killing it" she demonstrated and tossed another fish on the ground next to him. "You try" she mewed backing away from the river so he could try
-
Shadowpaw ran towards him again. She acted like she was going to jump, but this time, she went underneath him, knocking his legs from under him, then got out.
-
he fell. "Great job! Next time you might want to get out quicker" he mewed approvingly
-
he stared warily at her, but padded close to the river. he looked closely at the silvery surface. his ear twitched impatiently as he waited. suddenly a flash of silver. his smiled with excitement, lunging headfirst into the water. he bit around under the water, trying to catch a fish. instead he got a mouthful of water. he struggled to get out, his head and shoulders soaked as he stared furiously at his empty paws, "how do you do this?!" he demanded, forgetting his caution, "fish are nothing like kittypet food!"
-
"I still made it out in time!" she squeaked, eyes lit up in pride.
-
She laughed. Then stopped. "kittypets? Ugh im not a kittypet! Im a clan cat" she mewed. "And I told you to use a paw! Not your entire body. calculate every single blow...If you think about it its like battle training"
-
He cuffed her ear gently. "well in battle there will be much thinner shecats than me that drop in no time!" he reminded
-
he rolled his eyes at her hostility, "i dont care what you think! i was desperate!" he turned back to the water, wondering if he'd sacred all the fish. a flash of silver answered his question. he pinpointed it's direction then threw out a paw. he felt the roughness of its scales and fought the urge to dipp his head. he threw his paw back, the fish following. he gasped as the fish slapped against his face. he fell back, screeching with alarm as he clawed the sea animal
-
"Yeah," she nodded.
-
"Good" she mewed slowly. "Practice, and maybe you'll get some meat on those bones and you'll put up a good fight. Im out of here. g'bye" she mewed padding back
he smiled
