    Splashpaw decided again and picked her squirrel up to take to the elders. They would want nice warm squirrel.

    Tigerspots dazed into the forest, Sunheart looked happy protecting her camp knowing that her mate ill be leader. Bluewater and Nutfang seemed to have a crush on eachother would he ever have a mate. He was a strong fighter the best in the clan but when it came to love he was clueless. Tigerspots decided to take out a hunting patrol. He told Sunheart if it was alright and gathered up some cats. "Hazelthrush, Splashpaw want to come on a hunting patrol?"

    Brokenpelt was just walking back to camp after hunting. She had caught 2 mice and a squirrel. She saw a hunting patrol leaving and waved her tail in hello

    "Brokenpelt I was wondering if you wanted to come on a pat- oh you just hunted never mind" Tigerspots felt as if he was dumb for asking.

    I can go again the she cat mewed. She took off into camp to put her prey onto the FK pile and walked back to the group

    (O.K Seriously no one is sad from the death of our leader ??? )
    Hazelthrush rolled her eyes from across the clearing and strolled up to Tigerspots with a strut. "Fine, I guess your leading it your majesty?" She responded with a slow drawl.


    Bluewater watched Nutfang from the corner of his eye and smiled self consciously at her. He felt guilty for watching her, but he couldn't help it. His eyes fell on her pelt admirably and even in this sad time, he couldn't help feeling happy when he was near her.

    Mintleaf


    "Come on we have to go to Shiningstar and tell her why we are on her territory stop daudling! Please" they padded in between the 3 shimmer clan warriors.


    "We have got to get going" Mintleaf studdied his paws in sadness and desperation. Shiningstar dipped her head respectively. Mintleaf Bluewater and nutfang finally headed toward moon cave it was nearly midnight.

    Tigerspots


    "Ok good thanks brokenpelt I'm still getting over the death of fallingstar." The cats headed ôut into the training hollow their is usually heaps of fresh kill here. Tiger spots decided to talk to brokenpelt about how sad she was about fallingstars death and the rise of mintleafs nine lives he also decided to talk about all the mates in the clan as there was a lot. "So are you sad that fallingstar is dead I mean I am but you don't seem to be sad." Tiger spots said respectively.

    Bluewater sighed in relief that the long trek was over. He stood beside Nutfang and Mintleaf at the entrance to the moon cave. The deep forbidding cave made his pelt crawl and he hoped he didn't have to go inside with Mintleaf. "Are we going to go in... with you?" He asked nervously.

    "Sure!" Splashpaw trotted to the others. She heard Tigerspots' meow and replied, "Yeah... I respected and liked Fallingstar."

    Yea I miss Fallingstar.. When I heard about the death I was shocked. Fallingstar was my mentor and an amazing friend" Brokenpelt mewed remembering the old days

    Mintleaf


    "Ok you to stay out guarding the entrance I don't want to get interrupted unless it is an emergency." Mintleaf said sternly. He entered mooncave feeling the paws of his ancestors guide him through the darkness. He could see a small crack in the cave letting through the light of the moon. A lake lay ahead as he knelt to the ground, he curled his tail around his body as Mintleaf lapped up the water carefully.


    "Mintleaf!" Fallingstar padded up to Mintleaf with a worried look on his face. "What is wrong Fallingstar?" "You must not go with Blackendstar!" Fallingstar replied sternly. "Why-" "You can not you are the leader now you must stay. There are bad things waiting for you if you go." Fallingstar said worriedly. "Ok we will not go." Mintleaf replied calmly. "Now your nine lives here they are." All the nine cats stepped forward including Fallingstar. Mousewhisker the previous medicine cat was padding slowly up to Mintleaf, Mousewhisker meant a lot Mintleaf as he had broken his hind leg falling out of a tree and Mousewhisker was calm and healed it. "I Mousewhisker medicine cat of Fallingclan present you with your first life. The life of Persistence, so you will never give up even when it is nearly hopeless." "Thank you Mousewhisker." Mintleaf replied solemnly. Mousewhisker bounded off into the distance. Berryfrost padded up to him. "My lovely son, you will be an honour to your clan I raised you well." "I know mother." "I give you your second life the life of Courage, for standing up for what is right and always believeing in yourself." Suddenly Mintleaf was being prodded in the belly he tried to resist it but it was not going away.

    Tigerspots


    "Did you ever have a mate, I mean I didn't but you know I was just wondering.." Tigerspots felt embarrassed as Brokenpelt replied

    Bluewater was glad that Mintleaf needed them to stay out here. he didn't know how he could go in there without fear. He wondered if Starclan had accepted him. He hoped they had, his clan needed a leader now and Mintleaf was the best cat for it. His fur fluffed out in the cold and he shivered, not just from cold. His eyes scanned the territory, looking for any other cats. He saw the irresistible twitch of a squirrels tail. He glanced back at the entrance then back at the squirrel, undecided. He didn't want to disobey Mintleaf, but he was hungry and surely just straying away from the entrance for a second wouldn't matter? Nutfang was there after all. He gave in and circled around the red animal his ears flicking. He stalked closer and slowly enclosed the squirrel. With a silent leap he pounced for the animal. He had it in his claws but it struggled free. With a lightning fast paw he slammed down on its neck. With a swift bite he picked it up and carried it back to Nutfang. "Want some?" He asked already tucking in.

    Mintleaf

    The pain in Mintleaf's side gave way and stopped, what was he thought but at moment another cat padded towards Mintleaf. "Father, was hoping you would come." "I wouldn't miss it for the world and im lucky enough to give you your 3rd life the life of Fighting, you will need this skill throughout your life but this life will make your fighting even better." "Thanks Tigertail." Tigertail licked Mintleaf between his ears and padded away. Snakepaw brother of Mintleaf slowly padded up to him, it still looked as if he was wet. "Mintleaf, I give you the 4th life the life of Skill." "You didn't have the swimming skill obviously." Snakepaw looked away his heart felt like it was cut in two he would always feel as if he was the one who made his life short. Mintleaf suddenly went out of Snakepaws feelings wow that was a strong feeling he thought as Snakepaw padded away. A small dappled she cat padded up to Mintleaf. "Mintleaf I have missed you forever but now I know that your path lays with Sunheart." The dappled she cat looked at her paws. "Dappletail I will always love you and you know it." "I know.. Mintleaf I give you the 5th life the life of of of friendliness. As you need this skill to connect ith all your clanmates." Dappletail looked as if she had eaten crow food her eyes ere all teary. Dappletail padded away slowly. "I will always love you!" Mintleaf yowled sadly. "Mintleaf I know you will lead my clan well, you always seemed happy and brave as a kit and now I know why. Mintleaf I present you with your 6h life the life of Leadership as I was the leader before Fallingstar I know what leadership means you must do everything to make your clan healthy happy and most of all strong!" The golden tom looked into Mintleafs eyes. "I will Lionstar." Lionstar padded away with his tail held high. " Your 7th life will-" "Honeyfur!" Mintleaf purred and licked her on beteen the ears. "My sister!" "Hello Mintleaf I am over joyed that you are leader, exept for the fact I died before I was made deputy. I give you the life of Family you must treat your clan as if they were your family you must protect and fight for them as long as you live." Honeyfur padded away with her fur fluffed up frustratedly. A tall brown tom padded up to Mintleaf. "I know you will do your best Mintleaf so I give you the life of Understanding, to know what you are doing and to know what other clans are doing so you don't miss out on anything!" "Bramblestripe I-" "I don't care anymore Mintleaf." He padded off away. Why would he do that he was my mentor. "Finally Mintleaf, you have displayed all these lives so I present you with your full name Mintstar I expect you to be a star your last life will be the ability to talk with your warrior anscestors, we will be waiting and watching over you." Fallingstar padded away everything started to go dark and he was back in mooncave again. Mintstar padded out of mooncave

    Tigerspots


    "Really, you are a really nice cat I thought you would have by now.." Tigerspots replied happily. "Do you like me because I do-" Splashpaw interrupted their conversation.

    Bluewater looked at Mintleaf with surprise as he came out of the dark entrance. "Did you receive your lives? Are you Mint..." He was keen to know and he thought he detected a hint of pride in the way he stepped out of the cave.
