He hesitantly emerged from the shadows, not looking at all sure of himself, and took her hand.

He lingered in the doorway, not sure if they would take kindly to his presence - especially since it was after all the campers were supposed to be asleep.

"Ladies?" Ella cleared her throat, the three turning to see her, "Ella? You were supposed to be in the underworld with Hades." One frowned, none of them too disturbed as she entered the kitchen, "He sent me here a while ago. Do you have anything left from dinner for two hungry souls?" She held her hand out for Daniel, the ladies pausing, "Maybe. we'll look..."~

He took her hand, but was a little too wary to go much further into the kitchen. Daniel would not speak, simply watched with wide, frightened eyes.

A few minuets later, the harpies set out quite a bit of food, "Just drop something into the cooking fire for the offering." One directed as Ella helped Daniel to sit.

He did so, scraping a little bit of food off his plate before sitting down. "Th- thanks."

The ladies nodded. Ella smiled faintly, scraping some food into the fire before she took a bite of food, "Much better than pomegranates..."~

Daniel's eyes widened a little. "Is that all you had to eat down there?"

He winced in sympathy. "For a whole year? That must have been awful." The boy took a deep breath. "Why did Hades wait a year to send you back for me?"

He did so as well, picking at first but then eating hungrily. The food tasted delicious, and he wasn't sure if it really was or if it just seemed that way because of how long he'd gone without.
