Tony Stark had to be in two places at once. The world or Pepper? Which would he save? He had gotten the very straight-forward message from Jarvis a while ago now, and had no idea what was going on. The albino was pulled into a kiss. It didn't help that she was so small compared to the native Russian; therefore she had no real way to escape. If one couple dies, another arises. Who cared if their files were known, anyways? James Bond paraded around with a Russian girl with his file open to public! The Avengers were nothing more than petite figures compared to their forces.
