It was near midnight. I crept out of my bedroom wearily, my eyes adjusting to the dim light. I carefully made my way to the bathroom and screamed. On the mirror, someone or something wrote in red. I screamed in absolute horror, remembering all of the ghost shows and such that I had watched. Suddenly, the room began to spin, and I felt my self slipping into unconsciousness.
When I awoke, I struggled to remember what happened. Then I remembered the blood on the mirror, and me passing out on the floor of our hallway. I figured that I still should’ve been on that floor, but instead, I found that I was sitting up, and that my hands were bound. I also couldn’t see, but I didn’t feel anything covering my eyes, so I figured it must be really dark where I was.
I was confused. Where am I? I reached to my side, the binds on my hands limiting my movement. I ran my hands against the flooring, and I realized that I was sitting on stone. My head ached, for it too was leaning against stone.
A small flame sprang to life at my left, revealing a cloaked figure standing beside the candle, and in front of a door. The person started speaking, but I couldn’t understand anything he was saying. The only thing I could figure out was that this person must’ve been a male, because his voice was very deep. His hand dropped down to his boot, and he pulled out a cruel looking knife.
I whimpered a little, because I was scared and had no idea whatsoever where I was, and a strange man was pulling out a knife. There wasn’t really anything else I could do in a situation such as this. I began screaming, but my sounds were muffled. I understood now that there was a gag over my mouth, so I began randomly flailing about.
To my surprise, the man took a step forward, and placed all of his weapons the ground - even that cruel looking knife. I stopped attempting to scream, and in turn, I froze, and stared the man up and down.
