She smiled, looking at her feet. "Thanks."

David gave her another smile. He jumped over a log and stepped out of the forest.
-
Lea kept following him, wondering if she should say anything.
-
David thought for a moment, pinpointing their current location.
-
She kept walking, trying to remember where she'd seen people practicing with swords.
-
David, who had stopped walking, looked up and started walking in a different direction. "Hey. This way."
-
"Oh, sorry," Lea turned around and followed.
-
He walked for a bit, then stepped into a large dirt arena. He went to a small shed and walked inside.
-
"So is this where the swords are?" she asked.
-
He nodded, standing back to let her find one that felt right to her.
-
Lea picked up a sword. It felt rather heavy, and she nearly dropped it. Uh, not this one, she thought, setting it back down. She kept trying different swords, but none of them felt quite right. eventually, she settled on a long, shiny bronze sword. "Ready?"
-
David nodded and stepped out of the shed. "How does that feel, by the way? If it's too light it won't work." He knew she probably knew that, but he thought he might as well remind her
-
"Not perfect, but it's better than the others," she shrugged.
-
He nodded. "Alright. It'll do for a small fight." David walked out to the middle of the area.
-
Lea stood across from him, hoping she'd figure out what to do fairly quickly.
-
David drew his precious katana from its sheathe and grinned at Lea.
-
She smirked, then readied her sword.
-
David flashed forward, swinging his sword at an angle.
-
Lea's sword intercepted David's before it reached her, and she heard the clank of metal against metal. Swinging it free, she swiped at her opponent.
-
David blocked the blow easily, immidiately going in for another swing.
