• I'm fairly new to this site, so excuse me if I've done this all wrong, but I have my RiverClan warrior, Autumnfin. Only the fact that he is a returning member. When he was a kit, his parents were loners and gave him to a queen who'd just had kits of her own. They raised him like he was of RiverClan and everyone thought he was. Eventually, his "sisters" drowned and his "parents" were stolen away {and maybe even murdered!} He left to try and find out, but now he's back--but he wont talk about his past at ALL. If your cat is a warrior or even an older apprentice, you are welcome to have them vaguely recognize him {even though you may not know him or me at all}--or you can just have them have no idea of who he is. It's up to you. Now to the IC part. c:

    ~*~*~*~

    IC:
The morning was crisp and clear. The camp was bustling like it has and like it always would. It looked in just the way the orange tom remembered it. He swore he even recognized a few of the cats that were running around. The air was as warm and clean as it had been when he was a kit. It even carried the scent of welcoming feelings it always had. Autumnfin felt a pang of emotion hit him. He felt sad and in pain. The warrior missed this place and was all too glad to be back.

What if one of these cats actually recognized him? What if they remembered his orange fur? His red tail? Would any of them say anything about his childhood? The drowning of his sisters Crisppaw and Tearpaw? Or even the mysterious kidnapping of his parents? Thinking of these memories made the tom feel sick. He didn't want them anymore. He wished they would leave him.

He wanted to be alone, but he knew that in a clan of this size, he'd never get some peace. And look, another cat had just started to walk up.

  • Petalnose couldn't believe her eyes. She hadn't seen Autumnfin since she was little, much younger than she was now and she didn't think that she would ever see him again once he left RiverClan. She remembered his sisters, too. Crisppaw and Tearpaw were their names. They had seemed like sweet cats, and she had enjoyed conversations shared with Autumnfin and his sisters.

"A-Autumnfin? Is that you?" she mewed, half in disbelief. She was beyond happy to see him again but extremely perplexed as to why he was back and how he was able to find his way back to RiverClan. She'd always seen him as a friend and had missed him keenly when he left, but the matter eventually after enough time passed had left the forefront of her mind. She still thought of him sometimes, though, and wondered where he was or what he was doing out in the world on his own.

  • The red-tailed tom looked up, peeled away from his own thoughts. "Petalpaw?" he looked over at the voice, vaguely recognizing it. It had to have been hers. He remembered it almost clearly. He remembered it when his sisters would speak with her when he and his sisters were apprentices. His sisters. Tearpaw. Crisppaw. Neither had gotten to receive their warrior names. Autumnfin had hardly received his own when he left. Perhaps it was even his first night's vigil that he left. Peeling himself away from memories, he got up to meet the she-cat. "Oh," he frowned. Petalpaw wasn't much of a kit anymore. "Not much of an apprentice anymore are we?" Perhaps he never finished his first night's vigil. Perhaps this clan would never accept him for that. Would that be what she remembered of him. He shouldn't dwell on it. Perhaps it'd be wise to just make some simple conversation and not think about his own past. "So how has the hunting been?"

OOC: I don't know if she was a kit, warrior, or apprentice when he left, so I made something up. And remember, anyone can join this!

  • "I'm called Petalnose now." Her voice was soft and her expression slightly distant as she remembered how she herself had attended Autumnfin's warrior ceremony. She was slightly younger than he, and if she remembered correctly he left very soon after he received his new name. She had still been an apprentice when the tom had gone, so that would explain why he would call her Petalpaw. Petalnose was happy that he remembered her, she had hoped that he would. The she-cat was even more pleased that he had gotten her name—or at least what used to be her name—right. The RiverClanner sometimes felt that she wasn't a very memorable cat. "The prey is running well. Everything has been pretty chaotic since the flood, though."

  • "Petalnose?" he repeated the name, admiring the softness of it. "Very pretty name, indeed." He lowered his eyes, not wanting to have to stare into hers. She reminded him too much of his own sisters. Maybe she didn't share the stone-grey pelts of his sisters, but the way she'd share words with them as kits tied many memories of them with her. The tom recalled that she may have even gone to one of their earliest gatherings as apprentices with him.

Flood in camp. He couldn't recall one happening... He looked up at her, worried. "There was a flood?" his voice was growing in concern. "Is everyone all right? No drownings? Or anything else?" Drownings. Why did he say that? How could he think to say that?! He began to think of his owns sisters and looked at his feet to avoid making eye contact.

    OOC: All righty.

"Yes, there was a flood." Calmtides padded over to Autumnfin and Petalnose, sitting down in front of the two Riverclan warriors. He never even got to be a warrior: as an apprentice, the dull red tabby had been made into a spy. He smiled at the returning one, remembering him vaguely from when he was a kit. The son of Lanijay and Photoflash did not know who the other one was, but because she smelled of Riverclan he didn't really care much.

"Autumnfin. How has it been with you?" The tom inquired, swiping a paw up next to his mouth. He wanted to groom his messy pelt and take a bath so badly right now, but he did not want to seem rude whatsoever. "Yes, everybody is okay. There were many who drowned, but Lanijay, Photoflash, and Rangerstar helped whoever they could."

  • Cloudleaf padded up to Petalnose from the Warriors' den. She had just woken up from her nap. She saw an orange cat next to her. She then remember how similar he looked to Autumnfin. A warrior that left while she was an apprentice. She padded to him and gave him a weary look. "You look familiar. Do you happen to know or be Autumnfin?"

The orange tom stood up, surprised by a sudden voice. Calm...something, right? Except, he wasn't much of a kit anymore. More of an adult, now. "I've been well. And yourself?" Autumnfin didn't attempt to name the cat. "And it's sad to hear that there were some drownings, but at least some of the high positions are doing good for the clan cats, like always." He hated to appear rude to the tom, but felt the need to spin around and meet the voice of another cat.

Cloudpaw... or whatever name she'd taken now. She looked at him as if she knew him, but perhaps not. It'd been some moons since he'd left, and many could have perhaps forgotten him. But yes, she did! Sort of. He dipped his head in greeting and spoke softly, "Yes, I am he. Autumnfin." He was afraid of what title would follow his name. 'The Cat that Never Finished His Vigil,' perhaps? Or even worse, perhaps? "And you must be Cloud...paw..? Probably not--you look too old to be an apprentice." Did he look too offensive?

  • It was him! She smiled in delight of his return. "Of course i'm not an apprentice anymore silly. My name is now Cloudleaf!"She had so many questions. Where has he been? What happened while he was gone? What was the most exciting part? She simplified it into one simple question. "So, how was your trip while you were gone? I bet you missed all the fish." She gave him a friendly nudge. "Everyone will be glad to know you back."

Autumnfin smiled at the young warrior. "Of course," he mewed with a chuckle. "How silly of me to call you by your apprentice name." He added jokingly; "I'm just the kind of cat to forget names, no matter how long I've known the cat, right?" He responded to her nudge by flicking his ears towards her. He'd forgotten the enthusiasm of the cats in a clan. The tom had been alone for far too long. "My trip? Well, I found out more about myself than I ever wanted," he admitted with a more sad tone of voice. Autumnfin had no intention of bringing her down, so he made a joke. "And of course I missed the fish! I'd have to be some kind of rat-eater not to."

OOC: So sorry for how short this is. Hoping to be more talkative with this guy.

  • Cloudleaf purred. "It's okay. Cats forgot when there away for along time."She said, smiling. She looked at him when he talked in a sad tone. "In a good way? Or Bad?"
Raine purred at the joke. "The other clans don't know what there missing."She said with a dorky grin.

Occ: It's fine. I don't really write that much too. I'm sort of shy and i don't write a lot. XD

  • OOC: This is still Proud, guys, but I decided to use my sub-account for him. c:

IC: Autumnfin drew her words in and flicked his tail. "Good, I guess," he admitted. "I guess I can sleep happy knowing more about my own parents, but I won't worry you with that." He looked down at this paws, which he'd unknowingly wrapped his ginger tail around. The tom laughed at her joke, hoping she wasn't embarrassed by it. Now he could remember her more clearly. Autumnfin remembered her when they'd both been apprentices. She had such enthusiasm then, and he could tell she was still pretty cheery.

"No they don't!" he cheered. "Speaking of fish, I'm pretty starved. I'm gonna go find myself a shady spot to get some fish to eat. If you want to join me, you're welcome to." He glanced over at the other cats, wondering if they'd been feeling ignored by him. He turned his attention to Petalnose and Calmtides for a moment. "If either of you'd like to join, you're welcome as well."

  • Cloudleaf purred happily. "I'm glad you know more about your parents."She remembered how kind and funny he was back when they where apprentices. He still is kind and funny. He was kind and funny now, but also mature.

Cloudleaf smiled happily. "Of course i'll join. I just woke up with an empty stomach. I'll get grumpy if i don't eat."She looked at Petalnose and Calmtides. "Yeah, please come join! I love more company! It's much more fun!'She said. Happy that Autumnfin invited them, she padded to the freshkill pile. "I'll get the biggest fish here. One for all of you."

IC: Autumnfin looked over at the other two cats. Both of them seemed all right without the fish. "Don't worry about a big one. Save it for the elders. Why don't you and I just share one?" If the others didn't want to eat, he figured he'd save the bigger fish and just share a smaller one with her. Maybe she'd catch him up on the clan's big events while they ate.

He trotted with her to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a fairly good sized fish off the pile. Enough for two cats to share, but not too much so that he'd be stealing more than he could offer in return to the pile. "Is there any spot you'd prefer to eat at?" If he was going to go and pick a fish, she'd at least get to pick where they ate.

OOC: Sorry to just drop you others out, I just couldn't build off of nothing. Still welcome to post, though.

  • Ic: I read back at the other posts i did. God that's a lot of typos sorry! QwQ

Ic: "Well, there is this spot under a tree. It's my favorite spot. Follow me."She padded to the tree and sat under it. She waited for Autumnfin. He got to the tree. She layed down. Curious, she asked, "So tell me what did you encounter during the trip?"

    Occ: Sorry it's short! ;o;

  • Autumnfin smiled, trotting up to the tree. He sat down by her, dropping the fish. "Ooh," he said, looking up at the tree's network of branches. "How pretty." The orange tom then looked at Cloudleaf. He'd forgotten how kind she was, and how much he missed that in the clan's life. She made him glad to be home. "On my trip?" He asked, hesitant to answer. "Well, I met plenty of rogues, loners, and anti-clanners. Didn't have to fight most of them, thank StarClan."

  • "I'm glad you didn't have to fight them. Im surprised those Anti-clanners didn't attack you. They attacked the clans before. It wasn't pretty." She said. She took a small bite out the fish, making sure there was enough left for Autumnfin.

  • "No, not pretty at all," he sighed, glad himself that he didn't have to face them. "So, Cloudleaf, how have you been?" Autumnfin took a bite of fish, leaving some for her. The tom then looked over at her.
