  • Ravenpaw watched as his clanmates gathered around the gorge's edge, checking to see if Blacktail was okay. "We can't just leave, not yet, not when everyone's still here" he mewed, his navy eyes stared straight ahead at the cats bordering the gorge. "I'll be right back" he mewed to Soulpaw, Adepaw and his sister. He dashed over to Desertspring's side. "Is he gunna be allright?" he asked the tawny she-cat.

Harepaw watched as her brother padded over to Desertspring and the rest of their clanmates. She looked over to where Blacksnake was climbing down a tree, leaving Bluekit at the top. She looked at Soulpaw and Adepaw"I think we should go watch Bluekit for Blacksnake." she mewed softly.

  • Blacksnake flicked an ear back at the apprentices then turned and nodded, his eyes thankful. 'I never thought I'd think this, but thank StarClan for apprentices.'

  • (may I ask who plays Bluekit andwhat his pelt color is?(im asuming its blue-gray but i wanna make shure))

Harepaw smiled and bounded up the tree to where Bluekit was perched. She curled her light tabby tail around the kit, trying to confort it.

  • Dreamstar watched the scene unfold with growing horror. That huge cat was killing her clanmates and she couldn't do a thing about it. Taking a deep breath, she hurried around, issuing orders and helping along weaker cats. She watched Blacktail, her breath catching in her throat. Was he determined to die? She couldn't leave him... But she had to help the rest of her clan. As a warrior called her name, she dismissed the thought of helping Blacktail. If he was suicidal, then she was not going to risk her life trying to save him. Sucking in a breath, she choked and began to cough. The she-cat hadn't noticed the smoke before, but now she was left coughing and spluttering as she tried to help her clan.

Blossompaw looked at Soulpaw, her green eyes wide with terror. "Just get out of here!" She screeched, the panicked apprentice rushing around in all directions. When at last things seemed to have calmed, Blossompaw slowed and stopped by Jadepaw and Soulpaw. "Where did he go?" She murmured, her eyes flickering around nervously as though he could jump out at her any minute. She sat down slowly, reluctant to leave herself unprotected.

OOC: Where did Miro go? I was hoping he could take one of Dreamstar's lives... :\

  • ((I think he's already left....but Blacktail's not suicidal this time around. He's trying to help his Clanmates escape by keeping the puma distracted, and he even tried to get him to jump into the gorge. He's currently being taken to the RiverClan camp))

  • Soulpaw was reluctant to leave Blossompaw and did not move. His clanmates had mostly fled, yet there remained the bodies of those who had fallen prey to the monstrous cat. "He could come back at any moment..." Soulpaw murmured, his neck fur standing on end and his muscles tense. He gazed around for any sign of the cougar.

  • Blacksnake gave up, he couldn't see Blacktail or the loner. Quietly, he shot back up the tree and grabbed Bluekit again. "Dreamstar, where should we go?"

  • (( Oh, So a cougar is here? It's not Adepaw. That is a spelling mistake. Oops))

Jadepaw looked at Blossompaw and sternly told her "It will be all right." He surtenly hoped so. He coughed again. His smoke scarred lungs gasping to take in air. He fought to breath. Why was the place so dark? The sun even seemed muted. Then it struck him. He turned to Soulpaw and Blossompaw "We have a bigger problem the smoke is getting worse!" Where is Dreamstar. Where is our leader?

    Foxpelt

As the scene unfolded he stared in horror. The smoke was too thick and the cougar was making it worse. Sensing that his lungs could take the air he rushed to Dreamstar's side. "Dreamstar, I know you have lives left but you need to get out of here. I can help take over." he told her hoping she would see sense. He could definitly tell she was getting weaker. The cougar might choose her as prey.

  • ((Last I saw, he'd already left. Oh, and when cricketstride gets back with the ThunderClan's camp, somebody has to break the news that Blacktail went over the edge of the cliff into the gorge.))

  • Miro had left by now, the huge cougartom smelling that smoke was growing closer to the cliffside area. He had left in his wake the mostly eaten corpses of five cats and a kit, plus two killed kits he hadn't gotten around to eating before the threat of the fire had made him change his mind about hanging around there any longer. At least he had left with a full belly.

Not much remained of the eaten cats, save for their less meaty parts. At least, however, the cougar was gone.

  • Daisykit was petrified at this sight. She had become so frightened she had started to flee with terror. She let out a yelp as she fell into the river at a much lower part of the gorge. "Help me!"she yowled as the rapids wisped her away faster then the WindClan cats could run.

  • ((If you want, there's already a good thread for this....its called Walking around the Edge or some such thing at the River in RiverClan territories, I've already fished Blacktail out of the water...))

  • ((okayz I will make a better one.))

Sourcherry heard the kit cry out. Running she ran till she was out of breath. She looked down into the waters. No kit. Of course. The rapids. She shook her head. How would she get the kit now?

  • Blossompaw nodded and glanced around fearfully, her bright green eyes wide with uncontainable fear. Her whole frame shook as she waited for the cougar to come back and snap her up in it's jaws. Her eyes flickered around the gorge, watching as cats slowly got to their paws and made their way in to a larger group around Dreamstar. "I don't care what everyone else is doing, but we have to get out of here." The thought of leaving her clanmates disgusted her, but if they could somehow go and get help...

Dreamstar shook her head at Foxpelt, coughing before looking around the gorge. She tried to figure out who was missing, but it was hard with everyone in a panic. Everybody seemed to be rushing around, searching for their lost family and friends. Dreamstar sighed and shook her head. There was a lot of smoke around, but so far there was no trace of fire anywhere near the gorge. The Windclan leader suspected it was just smoke that would reach them, nothing more. "There is no where we can go, we're staying here and that's final." There was no time to ask for Riverclan's help, they could only hope that giant cat would not return.

  • ooc: Return of Hailpaw and the others, this takes place up top of the Gorge.

ic: After a long trip, but shorter than it had taken them to get to Thunderclan in the first place, Hailpaw arrived back at the spot where they had left their tattered clan. To her dismay she found almost no one in evidence. The smell of cat was everywhere, but she saw no one out in the open.

...She smelled blood. Nearing the smell, and beginning to get a horrible dread, she then saw it: beheaded, eaten bodies, some of the heads broken open...heads she recognised...scattered bones and the complete corpses of two kits. Hailpaw gasped and tried to keep herself from screaming. "Cricket...Cricketstride...they...Cricket..."

  • "Dreamstar!" Cricketstride clamored, running with a slip in step occassionally to the leader and his clan. He restrained from surcummbing to a fit of coughs as he returned from the borders of Thunderclan. The smoke certainly had gotten worse in condition, but the fire had not approached close enough to burn the other cats, to his elation.

His green eyes, tinged by a pale brown, glanced to his leader for a moment. "Hailpaw and I spoke with Crystalstar. She permitted us to join and live with Thunderclan temporarily, until we can get back to our feet. On the terms that we do not break out fights between us. We can't have any of our cats thorw tantrums against the others." He swung his head toward for Hailpaw through the thick gray haze, checking her condition. She had needed no help for his guide on the way back, which impressed him that she could recall the way to and fro so quickly and easily.

He returned his gaze back to the leader, "It's your decision. I can get at the back of the clan and keep everyone going...."

    He looked around.

    "Where's Blacktail and Integirty?"

Then the thick smell of blood clogged his nose and he saw through the smoke the very sight Hailpaw was gaping at. His heart leapt, "What's, what's happened since we were gone?" He pressed his flank against the apprentice, doing his best to comfort her.

  • Scarclaw dug his claws into the dirt. Even though there was nothing he could have done, he felt he should have done something. The logical, rational part of his mind said that it wasn't his fault, but he wasn't listening to that. "What happened here?" he asked quietly.

  • Blacksnake whirled around and glared at the Thunderclan tom. "It's none of your busines what happened here!" he snarled. He was a bit smaller than Scarclaw, but the scarred WindClan tom was a feirce fighter and would rive the other warrior off willingly if need be. 'Great, the last thing we need is ThunderClan knowing about our problems.'

  • "If you're going to stay in ThunderClan territory, then you better be prepared to answer questions about what happened." retorted the black tom. "I came to help you all get to our territory. I thought you'd be grateful for the help." He said nothing about being worried about Blacktail.
