  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]The harsh reality of it all had struck down hard and he seemed to lose what confidence he had left. That definitely wasn't right. Was he . . . scared now? This day had seemed so far away back then, enough that he didn't really worry about it. He'd wing it, the tom had earlier told himself. Like, whatever happens, happens. Yeah, traveling to the tribe's land had not been an issue. Walking had given him motivation, that he had a goal, that he left ThunderClan with a real purpose in mind. There was a reason, because everything happened for a reason, he believed. And as a matter of fact, the black cat had an aunt in this anti group. Who she was, he had no clue . . . God, he was really unprepared. Well, anyways, there were probably more reasons, but no one would really understand them, seeing as they came from his strange teenagey, restless mind.

So here he was, taking this big step from pro to anti and all that. And the Tribe of Many Storm's border was right there. Oh god. The ex-ThunderClanner took a few steps in, allowing a shaky breath to be sucked into his lungs. "Er . . . Hello?" his voice called slowly, not wanting to startle anything nearby. He needed to make a good first impression, right?
His sea green eyes shifted from the forest floor blanketed with foliage and debris, to the light blue sky and tree tops, scanning his surroundings.

  • "Please state your name and business with with the Tribe of Many Storms." Sea of Forgotten Dreams emerged from behind a tree. The Scout seemed to run into a new cat every time she left the camp. She searched him from her place for any signs of hostility, but didn't find any. For now, she just had to wait for a reply.

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]"It's Bermuda . . . I'd like to join the tribe," he responded, sizing up the Scout, as she did likewise. No signs of dangerous aggression on either cats. That was good start. The apprentice-sized tom held her gaze, as well as his breath, waiting for the answer that would determine what path lay ahead.

  • "Bermuda?" Jackie asked, running up to them. Seriously, Bermuda? That was an unusual name. The Ethiopian Wolf held back a laugh, she didn't find it funny but she didn't have anyone to be mean to. So she played with some insults in her mind, Bermuda? Got lost in that triangle? Okay, she really was losing her knack for teasing. Hey, he wanted to join. Better not insult him, she might end up living with him.

Her eyes and body language showed nothing of inside her head, so he would never know, unless he had a power or something. Boy, how I wish I had a power, she thought, as she stopped next to Sea.

  • "Follow me, and I will escort you to the camp were you can request to join." Sea tells him in her neutral sounding voice, before briskly staring off towards the camp. She made sure that he, and the other tribe member, could keep the same pace.

  • Jackie easily kept up with Sea, with her long legs. So, they were goi g to do the same thing to her, ask her questions. Be pretty simple for him.

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]Starting forward on light paws, he followed the russet wolf and she-cat deeper into the tribe's territory. Bermuda purposefully avoided and ignored Jackie's presence, as he was likely to be provoked more. The tom had caught that tone she used - bit haughty, teasing-like. 'Muda had definitely used it himself in ThunderClan, but hearing it directed at him for once changed the meaning. Yes, it was annoying now. However, Sea's words had caused him to bite back a retort. Thank god. The chances of joining after insulting a member were not high.

Now, their camp. Where was it?

  • As they half walked, and half ran, she took the path that went along the shore of the lake that their territory included. It might have added a couple extra minutes to the trip, but she doubted anyone noticed. After all, it was good to give a nice impression. The minutes quickly melted away, and she neared the entrance in what felt like an impossible time. She looked back to make sure the others had kept up, and she stopped tpat the entrance and called to the newcomer. "Are you ready to enter?"

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]His acceleration might've slowed, but his heart rate was still high, thumping, beating, pounding, all caused from their little trek to the tribe's camp. However, he had gone through much worse in ThunderClan, that intense training and such. So Bermuda stopped when Sea stopped, paws muddied from her choice of route - the lake's shoreline. But his black coat concealed the worst.
"Er . . . I am, yes." Bermuda lifted his sea green gaze to the Scout, nodding slightly.

  • She nodded and walked into the tribe's camp. She scanned the dens to see how many cat's were in the camp at the moment. Three cats in particular she searched for were the Leaders. She knew at least one of the must happen t be in the camp.

  • [align=left][font=georgia]The Deputy stepped forward, a frown on her face as she gazed at the strange with Sea and.. Jackie. Orinthia sort of carried a grudge against the latter for her blunt rudeness towards herself and Nala when she had first joined - Orinthia was still shocked she did. But enough about Jackie. Her icy blue eyes slid onto the tom they were escorting, her breath stopped short for a second.

There was something strange about him. Something familiar. Perhaps she had known him back during her days in ThunderClan? But oh no, he was much too younger for them to have been around at the same time. It suddenly came to her, that horrible image of when she had sneaked into the Nursery and saw her sister's unattended kits for the first time. Her attention hadn't been focused on him at the time, but Orinthia would still remember her own flesh and blood.

Cautiously the Deputy forced her gaze back to Sea, "Who's this? Why is he here?" She hoped that her sister wouldn't have mentioned her old name to her nieces and nephews, but even if Frostpaw (Orinthia was unaware of her promotion) had, she wouldn't have known about her name change.

  • "This is Bermuda, I found him at the border and he requested to join, so Jackie and I escorted him here." She explains, sensing a new emotion in the Deputy. Perhaps this cat's reasons for joining ran a bit deeper then she thought. While waiting for a response from Orinthia, she pondered all of this in her head.

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]What's with that look? You're the newcomer here, dumb*ss. Of course she'll be suspicious. No, it was more than that. Orinthia, with her disconcerting blue gaze, had sensed something else it seemed. What does she know? Slightly fazed, 'Muda stayed quiet for the time being, all known information already said to this high position. The leader? Deputy? Heck, this could be a nosy healer for all he knew. But whatever her rank, this female was . . . perplexing? Was that the right word?

Piano padded into the den, having seen two of her friends enter with an unfamiliar cat. Giving Orinthia a quick smile - she had not seen her other friend around as much when she had been promoted to deputy and what with her time in TidalClan - and Sea and Jackie, the Scribe turned towards Bermuda with green eyes full of curiosity. Was he joining or something? She had never seen him before so just assumed that, but for all she knew was that he had joined while she was a prisoner, or was coming to deliver a message or something. Really, she had no idea, but he must be okay to talk with since her Tribemates were with him.
"Hey Orinthia, Sea, Jackie," Piano greeted, then asked, "Who's this?"

  • [align=left][font=georgia]"Bermuda," answered Orinthia curtly, not the tone she normally used with Piano whom she had a soft spot for. The dark brown tabby knew that Piano was no longer a naïve and defenseless kit, but she was always soft with her friend's daughter. "He came from ThunderClan." Of course when she had last seen him, he had been Bermudakit not Bermuda. Somehow she believed she would have liked his warrior name better, though she had never hear it. It had hurted Orinthia so much at first to give up her clan name.

  • Sea's eyes widened slightly when Orinthia commented with his clan. Then, her expression softened, all of the pieces were slowly beginning to reassemble the puzzle. She didn't speak up, for she wasn't sure what to say. She wasted to question the Deputy about her knowledge of the ThunderClan cat, but she knew that wasn't for her to know unless Orinthia directly spoke the answers to her silent questions.

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]He had been careful not to mention his former alliance when he first arrived at the border, but yet . . . Well things were definitely starting to become clear. Crystal clear perhaps. His ex-ThunderClanner aunt was standing in front of him. AKA, Frostwillow's sister. AKA, the relative who took a sibling of Bermuda's way back when. AKA, Pinepaw. And from what the others had said - "Hey Orinthia, Sea, Jackie" - she gave up her old identity, replacing it with Orinthia. Well, Bermuda hadn't expected to met her so soon; he wasn't even a member of the tribe yet. Still, it was a rather pleasant surprise to him.
The black colored feline lifted his gaze to the deputy, nodded and spoke for the first time in the camp. "Yes, that's right, . . . mam." Yea, 'Muda didn't know where he was going with this. Was Orinthia even happy about him changing alliances? That's what he had dreaded - not to be accepted by her as well as the tribe itself. He had traveled to ToMS mainly because of the female.

Piano gave Orinthia a look of puzzlement, hiding a bit of hurt. The deputy had never snapped at her before, and perhaps she was more hurt by it than she would a different cat. Did it have anything to do with this newcomer? Looking back at Bermuda, not noticing as she tilted her head a bit to the side, a gesture that meant she was thinking. There didn't seem to be anything special about him, but she had no idea of her friend's past.
Seeing no one was saying anything, she cleared her throat softly and asked, "So, is he in the Tribe?" He seemed nice and polite enough, a good friend to make, as the Scribe loved making new friends. But what if Orinthia didn't approve? She worried what could have gone on between the she-cat and this tom before.

  • Okay, Ori was acting strange. Why all curt with Piano? With her she could understand, but with the others? Meh, something was going on.

    //super rushed

  • [justify][font=trebuchet ms]Yes, am I? he thought after hearing the Scribe's words. His look was almost painful as he sat there, watching Orinthia, not realizing he was holding his breath again. However, the pressure was all on her. Would she spill the beans about their relation? And would she give the okay to join the Tribe of Many Storms?
