He flinched, blue eyes flashing with worry. Swallowing, he took a tentative step forward, and then another. He'd gotten it, finally! The joy of the moment was short-lived, for it took only another couple of steps before his paws slippered from underneath him and he was splayed out on the floor once more. Honestly, this is getting embarrassing.

Her green eyes widened when she saw him flinch from her words. "I'm sorry." she meowed, rushing to help him up. "I meant do exactly like I did it, and don't take any more steps after that." Dandelionkit'd pelt pricked with guilt. "That was very good, by the way." she murmured.
-
Paintedkit followed along with them. It was fun to observe and watch as Wheatly was taught how to walk, and soon, to talk. She also watched as she kept falling, and felt a kinda bad for him. Why hadn't he learned this yet? It wasn't very hard for her to walk, for she basically taught herself. She didn't like to speak much, but maybe she encouragement could help him. "I'm sure you could do it, Wheatly. Just keep up the practice!" Then she gave a kind of saddened smile, in which quickly turned into a angry frown. Her moods were trying to change rapidly again.

He nodded, and concentrated very hard, watching his feet but also what was in front of him. He managed a few steps, and got from his nest to the nursery entrance/exit. Eyes widening, he let out a squeal of pure joy.
-
Dandelionkit squealed and ran over, licking his cheek. "Good!" she praised.
-

Wheatley blushed embarrassedly, but a big dopey grin was still plastered over his face.
-
"okay, do you feel like you can walk alright?" Dandelionkit asked, stepping back and resting her green gaze on him. "Just wait till you become an apprentice!" she squealed, hopping all over the nursery.
OOC: maybe a few posts after this, we can skip to them being apprentices? More fun that way.
-

[ooc] sorry, i'm keeping wheatley as a kit for a while yet. <3He nodded, happily. At the word 'apprentice', though, he faltered. Curious, his head tilted again, a common habit for the little tom.
-
OOC: oh well just for this thread.
Dandelionkit sat at the entrance. "What words do you have trouble with?" she asked.
-

He blinked, wondering where to start. It would be easier to list the words he didn't have trouble with. "Ev... every... thin."
-
"Well, lets start with sentences. Can you say, "I, can, run."?" She sat back on her haunches, waiting for him to sound out the words.
-

"I... caan... ren?" He was aware that he'd dragged out 'can' and was sure he'd mixed up his vowels for 'run', but still felt a sense of accomplishment.
-
Dandelionkit nodded. "Really good. But it's like this: 'r-uh-n'" she tried sounding it out a little more.
-

"R... uh... n." He allowed himself another big, dopey grin. "Ruhn. Run. Run!" Oh, that was brilliant, that was. It felt good - really good. He was finally Getting It Right.
-
The cream colored she cat nodded vigorously, grinning. This was so much fun! Was this what being a mentor felt like?
"Now put that in the sentence." she instructed. -
All Paintedkit did was observe. She could see that Dandelionkit had it all under control, and she wasn't going to try to take over the lessons, nothing like that! Wheatly was doing very well though. Maybe she could just be someone to praise him? Oh well. She just kept watching.

"I... can run." He let out his signature squeal of delight, vibrant blue eyes flashing with pride. Getting It Right was fun - he hoped there'd be more of it later.
-
Dandelionkit swelled with pride for the Tom. "Maybe we can try again some more later." She suggested. //rushed.
-

He nodded, smiling that big, dopey smile again.
-
Dandelionkit laughed at the grin plastered on the toms muzzle. "Well, do you think you can play now?" She asked, hopping to her paws.
