Analdezthe gypsy vanner stopped then and galloped up to them.

Vitam looked at her sister then at the stallion. She didn't know him, and he provided no milk! She snapped at him flattening her ears and kicking in his direction! She snorted pawing at the ground and bobbing her head in anger! She snorted at him have him a feeble kick and returned to suckling. She shoved her sister out of the way and took both! She drank from both making it very clear she was boss.

Ferusa nodded in agreement, but she knew not to shove her daughter off. It was very important to determine positions and it was life. She watched and nuzzled Vitrus spwho hungrily stared at her. "If you want it then go get it." She said looking at her.

This caught the eye of Vitam who warning lay stared at her then continued to suckle.

"Seems like Vitam is a born leader!" She said in pride, just like her.

Obscure nodded in agreement but he couldn't help but worry about Virtus. She needed nourishment to insure a healthy development and if Vitam continued to bully her she would grow up weak, making it easier for stallions to bully her into their herd, and he did not like that idea.

Despite her mother's words Virtus did not try to shove Vitam out of the way. The dark brown filly only neighed softly before slowly trotting around her mother and laying down in the grass, resting her head on the ground.

Obscure sighed and maneuvered around Ferusa, bending his head to Virtus who raised hers curiously to him.

Analdez nuzzled the two mares.

Vitam finished and layed down with her sister in the grass. She sighed and layed on her back letting the sun wash over her slick black coat. She nuzzled her sister nudging her to Ferusa. Ferusa looked at her daughter and nodded. "Come on Vitrus u need to eat." She walked up and nuzzled her. She glanced worridly at Obscure for support and help. Vitrus needed to eat or she would die. Ferusa also needed to eat a lot! She needed to produce enough food for three horses!

Virtus continued to lay in the grass, afraid that Vitam would once more shove her away. Obscure snorted and moved around Virtus, nudging her back side. The startled filly stumbled to her feet and pranced around uncertainly. Obscure followed her and nudged her to Ferusa's stomach. The filly stared up at him with wide, scared eyes, but eventually her instincts led her to begin suckling. She drank hurriedly for she was nervous that Vitam would be hostile. Obscure sighed and watched her, glancing at Ferusa. "I'll go find you some food," he neighed before trotting off. He returned some time later with a large clump of fresh green grass in his mouth. He dropped it before her.

She gobbled it down and nudged her "come on honey it's ok." She said nuzzling her side.

Vitam nodded at her. "It's ok." She neighed and rolled on her back and fell asleep.

Seeing that Vitam was sleeping Virtus slowed down and drank her fill. She assumed that from now on she would have to drink after Vitam, and once they were weaned it wouldn't be a problem anymore. With a content sigh the filly settled down in the grass and slept. Obscure smiled and nuzzled Ferusa. "How's the soft life been for you?" he teased, nudging her. "Don't worry, you'll be back to being wild in no time. I only worry about Virtus. Vitam is a lot like you, head-strong and certainly not a pushover. But Virtus... I'm afraid a stallion might bully her into his herd if she keeps up this nervous, shy act. Like Analedz," he snorted, glancing down the mountain to where the Gypsy Vanner was with two others.

Ferusa nodded. "If she's our daughter she will be fine." She neighed reassuringly and nuzzled his neck. "She and her sister will be fine." She neighed looking at her two fillys. She watched as Vitam stood up and fell asleep next to her sister nuzzling her affectionately. "See, and besides Vitam can protect her two." She neighed knowing that her fillys would be fine.

Obscure nodded, feeling more reassured now. "She's a lot like you, I know she will. Virtus might just need some time to come out of her skin is all," he said thoughtfully, lowering his head to the brown filly who shifted in her sleep.

IC~The two mares looked at Analdez indignantly. Grace's eyes betraying utter hostility while Beauty's shows full blown anger, "Exactly what do you think you're doing?" exclaimed Beauty in annoyance. Grace snorted, cutting at the ground with her hooves.

Eh snorted in surprise there's two mares didn't want to be in his her and he had better things to do than chase after then. He reared up and bucked kicking dirt into their eyes then he galloped back to his herd looking at his mares.

She nodded. "Yeah that exactly it." She neighed walking over to her fillys and nuzzling them. She layed next to them and rolled bathing in the sun and letting the dirt nestle into her skin.

Obscure chuckled and laid down as well, rolling around in the dirt to get rid of an annoying itch he had. Disturbed from the noise Virtus snapped awake and stumbled to her feet, dashing a few yards away, ears flattened in fright as she watched the large stallion and her mother roll around. Breathing heavily after realizing there was no danger she slowly trotted back to them and stood there awkwardly before laying down again and pressing herself against her sisters warm body.
