A pure black cat with blue eyes crouched and glanced left and right before and after she took a small drink, anyone could tell she did not fit in here in clan territory. They would be correct, she didn't, but with a long gash on her side and kits in her stomach she had to risk this for a drink.!She knew that this wouldn't be a good place to have or raise her kits because of the kitnappers. She knew she was alone, she didn't mean here in the forest by this small river, but that she had no mate, he had died but even before that he wasn't that good of one. The she cat sighed, but her head snapped up when her nose caught scent of a cat. She backed away, sideways, wanting to get to the tree line.

"I suggest you don't" a velvety smooth voice told her from the shadows. A fairly large tom stepped out. The sunlight hit his fur revealing it as slate grey with black ripples and flecks which gave him a stony impression. Eyes the colour of crushed emeralds watched her. As he padded slowly towards her it was easy to see his large muscles rippling under his thick coat. "I'd catch up faster in the trees" He gave her a kind smile "I mean you no harm though" He said truthfully. He had his claws sheathed and showed no signs of wanting to hurt her. "Why are you here?" He asked, stepping slightly closer again but keeping a respectful distance away.
-
The she cat narrowed her eyes
"What does it matter to you?" -
"Because I don't want to hurt you" he told her simply. He glanced at her large belly, instantly knowing what that meant. "This isn't your land so why are you here, I suggest you answer to me, many others would attack first, ask later"
-
She knew he was right...
" To get a drink, maybe hunt." She said it was enough of the truth that he needed to know. -
He nodded and beckoned her over with his tail as he sat by the river. He dipped his grey paw on and pulled out a silver fish. "You need the protein" he told her, nudging the fish towards her.
-
The she cat looked at him suspiciously, she was use to not trusting people but.... She was hungry...
"Why? Why help me? I'm on your territory and was stealing prey and water." -
"I'm helping you because I don't want to see a she cat and her kits die" he replied calmly, nosing the fish again towards her.
-
She still looked at him suspiciously again but ate a bit of fish. Before she knew it she had finished eating all the meat off of it.
"Um... Thank you..." She wasn't sure what to really say -
He shrugged "that's alright, so are you a loner, if so what happened to your mate?" The curious cat asked.
-
"Died." She replied but didn't saw how. She was still watching him suspiciously but seemed to have relaxed, slightly. "You've been asking me all the questions, here's one of my own: What's your name?"
-
He nodded sadly when she said died but a smile slid onto his face when she asked him a question if her own. "Pebblefoot of Thunderclan at your service" he introduced, bowing a little.
-
She laughed when he bowed
" My name is Silver." She said and bowed back, -
He smiled "well it's nice to meet you silver despite the nature of which we met" he purred.
-
" Yes." She said "I guess your not to bad."
-
He laughed "thanks, you seem alright too"
-
" Thank you for the fish but I really should go."
-
"Go where?" He asked looking at her curiously.
-
Silver shrugged
" Where ever." She replied -
" why don't you join a clan?" He asked with a frown.
