  • "Well yes...but first you must make sure you are securely on the dragon so that you dont fall off. You have to use your knees, squeeze tightly," he replied still proud.

  • He smiled at her, "Yes thats right and even though it is I still have to hook you in." He said as he pulled one of the straps up from the saddle, "Safety first,"

  • He blushed, "Im excited too, especially because you have a natural sense for this. Okay, so youve riden a horse before right? Riding a dragon is very similar in a more complex way,"

  • He laughed softly, "c'mon now lets try and stay concentrated or we wont get you trained up at all."

  • "Like ive said earlier, its just about the same as riding a horse. A dragon in some way or another has the same 'controls' as a horse. Keep in mind, dragons are much smarter. Have you ever ridden a horse before, Rose?" Damon asked curiously.

  • "Oh, uh...this might be a little more difficult then," He replied slowly, "well um, you uh," He tried to think of words that would help describe how to ride a dragon. "Well just about everyone has their own signle that they use with their dragon, but because we are useing Raven and he already knows what to do theres no point in that right now."

  • She nodded, "Okay... Then what now?" She was so focused on this that she didn't notice the shadowed figure who disappeared from the doorway.

  • "Well once in the sky you use your body to guide the dragon where you want to go. Say if you were to lean to the left the dragon should make a sharp left turn, and depending how far you lean forward will either let your dragon know to speed up or go down. There are all sorts of 'controls' and some are easy to learn or easy to use and others are more difficult." He tried to quickly explain.

  • He nodded, "Of course! When ever you are ready, " He teased softly knowing that is was he who was taking too long.
