Midnight waited a few seconds then glanced at Rose's flank

" well, uh... what else can you do?" Midnight asked

"Uh.......I'm a fast runner"

" maybe you'll have an athletics cutie mark." Midnight said

"Possibly" she sighed

"well, I'm pretty fast too. Why don't we have a race, maybe you'll get your cutie mark." Midnight offered

Midnight stretched and walked outside

Rose went outside too

Midnight gestured to a park bench a long way away, "we'll race to there and back. Ready?" She asked

"Ready" she said

"one... two...three... go!" Midnight yelled then took off; she was actually a very fast runner

Rose took off after her, she was fast but not as fast as Midnight

Midnight got involved in the thrill of a challenge and picked up speed, "come on slowcoach!" She called over her shoulder as she reached the park bench and turned around

Midnight grinned as she ran past Rose, heading back towards Sugercube corner
