    So many years have pasted that trying to record history is useless. The world fell out of balance and into chaos. Buildings have crumbled and the ozone is so small that it is almost none existence. While the surging humans fled here and there a new species presented itself, mermaids. They appeared near beaches and in the middle of oceans. One swan into shallow water and opened her mouth, revealing small sharp teeth. Her blue tail swirled the sand below her and her violet eyes looked from human to human. She wore only seaweed tangled together to cover her chest.
    " Humans." She said her voice rasped from disuse. "I am Kraeva," she announced "I can help you survive." As she spoke her voice became smoother and softer, no longer the rasp. She fingered a stone in her hand. "You can share our ocean."

    IC~ Another mermaid popped up beside Kraeva. She didn't say anything. A clam-shell bra with seaweed tying it together hung around her chest, and her tail was an eery shade of green and black.


    A human looked at the shaking dirt below his feet. "How...?" he spoke up, his voice quivering and breaking. "How would we be able to share this freezing hellhole with you? I can't breath underwater. I doubt anyone but you mermaids and mermen can do it."

    Another human, a girl with long flowing Auburn hair with light brown eyes nudged the other person who had just spoke "shh! Let them speak!" and she looked at the Mermaids, she had always read books about them and told people they were real, now she amazed to see them in front of her own eyes, and she wanted to know how they could help.

    A third mermaid swam up, with a beautifull tail of red and gold.
    "We can help you breathe underwater" she replied

    The girl smiled and went over near the sea and bent down whispering "can you turn us into mermaids and mermen as well?" she asked.

    "Yessss..."
    the mermaid chuckled

    She smiled "I have always wanted to be one, and I have always said your real, but no one would believe me" her auburn hair flowing in the wind as she continued "the world is breaking, the ocean is the only place left" and she frowned slightly.

    She held up the stone, it was an orange color but more red in the middle like fire
    "This contains generations of our magic, it won't give you tails, but it will allow you to breath." She said

    IC~ The guy, who was named Jacob, smiled. "I've never liked those tails of yours....No offense. But breathing underwater? Awesome!"


    The mermaid smiled and said a few words. "I'm Krystal. I...uh...Nevermind." She dove into the water, but only a few inches so that she could hear everyone.

    Kraeva swam forward as much as she could and held the stone out to the boy.
    " Take some of our magic that lies within this stone." She instructed then looked to the rest of the humans.
    "We hope you make this decision and join us, we wish for no one to die."

    Kraeva waited herself for something to happen, the stone was untested, but it did contain great magic. She wondered if the magic might be strong enough to create a mermaid tail on these humans.
    " Do you feel it?" She asked curious "The magic?"

    Semilina went to grab one of the stones that the mermaids had and held it in her hands as well.

    IC~ A tingling sensation went through Jacob's body as Kraeva said the word "magic." Gills formed on the sideas of his neck, like fishes have. A tail partly grew on Jacob, but he let go of the stone, causing it to crash on the ground. The tail only grew on his feet, so he still had legs, just...not feet.

    She shrugged with her eyebrow raised "but my clothes, shouldn't I go home and get a swimming costume, it'll be really uncomfortable" She had really long combats on and a white polo shirt with dark green jacket.

    IC~ Krystal was prepared. She dove back underneath the water and went to a bra and rack, grabbing the whole thing. "You can choose any."

    She smiled and jumped right next to her in the water, her combat trousers floating in the water with her jacket as she smiled "be right back" and she chose one, a sort of fire coloured shell bra with light green seaweed sewing it together, she dived under the water and saw she could open her eyes and breath under water, she swam right to the bottom behind a sort of rock and put it on, but kept her trousers on because they were very light and baggy, she then came back to the surface next to Krystal and smiled and threw her top and jacket onto the beach "goodbye land!" she called "come on guys! Its awesome!" and she swam around a bit, although she was still getting used to the fin webbed fingers and toes along with the gills.

    Kraeva smiled
    " You can try it also." She said. She wanted to reach out and give the stone back to him, but her tail made that impossible.
