the tribe of fading colors
advanced anti-clan // accepting
Who are you? Oh. Another stupid loner kitten who comes wandering into territory that isn't theirs because of... what? Oh, were you curious? That doesn't make a difference; if you think I'll let you free because of that, you're a fool.
I guess I'll give you a little tour, since you'll be staying here for the rest of your life. Let's begin, shall we?
territory
We'll begin with where we live. As you can see, our camp is located in an abandoned twoleg graveyard: don't fret, you'll get used to it. That tomb down there, directly ahead of the camp entrance, is the Empress' den. Don't go unless you're summoned or you have a death wish. Right next to it is the fresh-kill pile. If you have questions, ask the Advisor(s) or the Slayers, who sleep in that shack over there. If you fall ill or somehow manage to hurt yourself, our Nurse(s) dwell in the shack opposite the Advisor's/Slayers'. You'll be sleeping with the other Novices, in the left section of the graveyard. For future reference, the Guardians sleep on the right side, and the Nursery, where the kits and Mothers sleep, is under the shade of the moss trees. The Whisperers- you'll find out what they do sooner or later- live in the mausoleum. The third tomb, the one with Guardians protecting it, is the dungeon. Unless you're on guard duty, you never want to go there... but don't force my paw.
Surrounding the graveyard is a nice, thick forest with an abundance of prey, but watch out for predators. There's plenty of streams and ponds if you're thirsty. We live due south of the place you call ShadowClan, and south-west of SunClan, if I remember correctly. Never go past the northern Thunderpath, otherwise you'd be intruding in others' territory, and your fate wouldn't be pleasant.
mythology (opt.)
This is OPTIONAL. You don't have to read it unless you want to. This is the Fading Colors Tribe's religion, so...
We don't have a rule against following religions other than ours', we aren't THAT evil, however most of the members of our tribe believe in what we call the Colors. That's where the tribe's name came from, in fact, although we'll get to that later. Let's start at the beginning.
Many moons ago, there were seven StarClanners known as Crimson, Tangerine, Dandelion, Emerald, River, Violet, and Indigo, although back then, they had clan names. They were all recently dead, and all furious that StarClan wouldn't grant them another chance, for they all died unfairly. By pure chance, they all met up in StarClan, and became good friends. And they all agreed that they couldn't take it anymore.
So, they left StarClan for unclaimed lands, and that's when they found a forest of clouds and claimed it as their own, dubbing it Sky Woods. They dwelled there for a while before becoming lonely; even though they were great friends, talking with the same cats every day got boring. So, Indigo, who was training to be a medicine cat before she died, was sent down to Earth to contact a mortal cat. She found Persephone, a rogue kit who was lost, orphaned, and alone.
Indigo visited her often, and they became friends. Penelope grew into a beautiful young she-cat, and she met another loner. They fell in love, and she shared the religion now referred to as the Colors with her mate and her kits. They shared it with their friends, their mates, and their kits, and pretty soon, their beliefs were widespread.
StarClan was jealous of this, or so they say, and one tom was brave enough to curse them. Eventually, the Colors would die, for real this time, and the religion would fade away. They tried frantically to undo the curse, but it was too late. The Colors would die.
Desperate, Crimson, the leader of the seven, gathered a group of mortal cats who believed strongly in the Colors. They were to form a group, called the Tribe of Fading Colors, and to ensure that the Colors would live on in the memories of these cats. And they were to hate the clans, for it was StarClan who doomed them.
To this day, the traditions continue, although we aren't as strict about them now. Feel free to believe if you'd like.
positions
High/Semi-High Positions
Empress. (1/1)
The leader of the Fading Colors Tribe. You don't want to get on her bad side. She organizes tribe events, comes up with battle strategies (with help from the Advisor, of course), and basically makes sure that the tribe is as powerful as possible.
(Anastasia, RPed by Confetti)
Advisor. (1/1)
The Advisor is the battle strategist, plan-checker, and, well, advisor to the Empress. He/she makes sure that her plans are in best interest of the tribe, although keep in mind, they can't actually make decrees. However, the Advisor doesn't do the grunt work: that's the jobs of the Slayers and the Guardians.
(Moscow, rped by Niffler)
Nurses. (2/2)
The Nurses are the healers of the tribe. They're responsible for gathering herbs and other useful items, as well as taking care of the sick and the injured. Unlike in the clans, however, the Nurses do NOT receive prophecies, messages, etc. That's the job of the Whisperers.
(Nakia, rped by Color; Nevada, rped by Nightie)
Whisperers. (2/2)
The Whisperers are the ones who receive prophecies and such, as well as complete ceremonies such as graduations, weddings, etc. Fiercely dedicated to the Colors, the majority of them are bonkers. However, they're still useful to have around.
(Sunwatcher, rped by Flowers; Sussurro rped by Ren)
Slayers. (4/4 | semi hp)
In the tribe mythology, the Slayer position was originally devised to slaughter demons. However, since this is reality and there are no demons, they'll make do with an enemy cat. Slayers are the Empress's personal assassins and spies. Along with this, they also ensure that the Guardians are doing their job, and they lead hunting/fighting patrols.
(Flare, rped by Silence; Qing, rped by Flame; Cinereo, rped by Zero; Apollo, rped by shana)
(open)
Regular Positions
Guardians. (unlimited)
The warriors of the Fading Colors Tribe. They hunt, fight, guard, you know the drill.
(Kai, RPed by Confetti; Serpentine, rped by Cobalt; open)
Novices. (unlimited)
The apprentices of the Fading Colors Tribe. They train to become Guardians.
(Champagne, rped by Niffler; Cyan, rped by Flame; open)
Mothers. (unlimited)
The queens of the Fading Colors Tribe. They're she-cats nursing kits.
(open)
Kits. (unlimited)
Cats 0-4 moons old.
(open)
Prisoners. (unlimited)
The lowest of the low. Whether they're prisoners of war, cats who betrayed the tribe, or even intruders, one thing is agreed: they're unworthy criminals. The Prisoners have one job: hunt the rats that roam in the Dungeon. They can't slack off, firstly because it's their only source of food, and secondly because if they don't prove to be useful, they'll be killed/tortured/traded to another group where they could become slaves. However, the tribe itself doesn't practice slavery.
(Whistlepaw, rped by Silence; Smokey, rped by Flame; Inkblot, rped by Confetti; Hospitality, rped by Icey; open)

2. Be nice to your fellow roleplayers. OOC rudeness, bullying, etc. won't be tolerated.
3. No strong language, please. If for some reason you feel the need to cuss, censor it.
4. Try to keep it fun for everybody: things such as god-modding, mini-modding, one-person armies, etc. aren't allowed.
5. No huge plots (such as "the leader dies" or "giant territory-destroying earthquake") without my permission.
6. If I feel that your form isn't advanced enough, or that your character is too Kitty Sue-ish/too OP, I have the right to reject your form. You're welcome to try again, though. Likewise, if you break these rules, I have the right to kick you out of the tribe, or, if the rule is severe enough, report it to the staff. Because, believe it or not, some of these are site rules, too.
