He went to sleep.

He slept peacefully.

A few days later, her scent had changed.

He could tell. "So, you ready to head out?"

She nodded. "Thank you so much for everything."

"You're welcome, so how far do you want me to walk with you?"

"As long as you want to." she woofed, a hint of sadness in her voice.

"What's wrong? You sound sad."

"I'm ... fine. We should get going. If you're coming with me, of course."
