Dyson sighs. "It's late, but hell, I can use a break. What are you like?"

Well" i said looking at him " i'm smart, sweet, strong and independant for starters. I like to socialize and i'm very protective of those close to me i am a huge fan of history"
-
The Fae raises an eye brow. "History? Alright. Well that's certainly a nice personality mix."
-
What do you mean?" I asked " i hope you don't think i believe in all that fairytale crap "
-
Dyson rolls his eyes. "What kind of fairytale crap?" he asks.
-
" all the stupid stuff. I've heard this bullshit about creatures called Fae. I've heard of unicorns...." I said I realized that what I had just said might upset him but i wasn't sure.
-
"Ah, hell. Unicorns? Like, what kind of unicorn?" he says. He immediately tensed up when she mentioned Fae. Did she know who he was?
-
I looked at him confused " why so tense all of a sudden?" I asked but then said " I don't know. I've heard of the horse version and the fae version"
-
A low growl rumbled in his throat. "Fae?" he says.
-
" ok why do you seem like you're mad?" I said quietly " It's not like a believe in it. "
-
"Okay. So you don't believe. But what have you heard?" he presses, eyeing her suspiciously.
-
I stared back at him, noticing that he was very suspicious of me just like when he walked in " that there are millions of types of fae.. and that most of them feed on the humans in some way." I said softly slightly scared " They were just fairy tales my mom told me to scare me."
-
"That's it?" he presses even further.
-
yeah " I said quietly " she always told me that if i were to ever try and sneak out of my room at night that a fae would jump out and eat me."
-
"That's a little intense, but it might happen, you know,' he says, trying to phrase his words carefully.
-
I highly doubt it " I said wiping down the counter around him.
-
"Doubt it all you like, but you don't know the stories are false."
-
So" i said " doesn't matter i don't have to believe in them"
-
"Maybe you should. Maybe they're real."
-
I don't believe in things i can't see." I said " so until i see one in action i refuse to believe they are real" I looked at him curiously then sat on the bar beside him " Why do you keep insisting that they are real?" I asked " do you think they are?"
