"Good morning to you too." she smiled to her brother. "I'm just about to go out hunting. Would you care to come with?"

KAZAH
"Taka, you're back!" He called out to the heir, who was padding back into the cave.
TAKA
"Of course I am. I just finished." Taka snorted. "They're not that bad, those sharpclaws."
KAZAH
The old alpha looked at his son. "I know that. It's time we had a talk."
*Kazah takes Taka to his den*

TAKA
"What is it now, father? If it's about the next Howl, I've already chosen a wolf to attend. I'll think of the others later. Its not here yet, still weeks away."
KAZAH
"Its not that," Kazah sat himself down in his small den. He sighed. "Sit with me, Taka."
TAKA
He frowned, his grey-black pelt darkened in the den. "Its more serious, isn't it?"
KAZAH
"I'm old now, and even you know that I won't be able to live for the whole year."
TAKA
"I know that," his tail scraped the hard ground. "what point are you trying to make?"
KAZAH
"Every wolf knows that leaders are born from the alpha. In the eyes of the Pack, you are showing no fear. One promise. One life changing already," the old wolf whispered. "can sometimes change a leader to a legend."
TAKA
"You're not dying now, right?" He could see the fear in his father's eyes. "You can't be!"
KAZAH
"You know I am. If I am lucky, I will be able to make it for a few seasons. It is up to the healer to choose when my time will pass..."

"Of corse I will join you." The lead Fighter put his paw on his sisters head.

The midnight black she-wolf burst into the camp followed by 4 other Fighters. "Shadowmere! I need to talk to you and the Alpha ergently."

Nods to the other lead fighter. "Sorry Kameru but I might have to skip this one."

"I am retiring from my position. I will die anyways. You will become the Alpha now."
TAKA
He sighed and nodded. "I will tell them all now," he whispered. "It'll be hard to take in." Taka added to himself.
He padded out of the den and jumped onto a ledge on the cave wall. "Wolves of all ages, meet here as I have something to say." -
TAKA
"Yin, what is it?" he called from the ledge.

"I must talk to you, your father and Shadowmere in your fathers den." The black Fighter barked.

TAKA
"Then lets go." he led them into his father's den, where he was resting. Just as they padded in, the alpha lifted his head.
KAZAH
"What is it?" he yapped.

*They all sat at the Meeting Rock*
Shadowmere
"So whats going on Yin?" The Lead Fighter asked.
Yin
"The Pack of Falling Snow is planing to attack us at dawn. They're planing to hit the Cave. I think we should cut them off at the grate tree."

TAKA
"You think?" the heir growled at Yin. "What happened to the alpha's choice?"
KAZAH
"Taka, its ok. I believe that meeting at the great tree is a good idea." He turned to Yin. "Do you know what ranks we will be fighting?"

FLARE
"Yay!" the sharpclaw bounded around the meeting rock. "My first proper fight!"

Taka gave Flare a stern look, which made the sharpclaw stop working itself up.

"I think they have three sharpclaws fighting and a lot of other fighters." The fighter responed.

He frowned. "Flare, looks like you will be in this fight."

"Flare! You know you're not allowed near the Meeting Rock!" Yin scolded him.
