A small brown tabby kit was wandering the barren mountains trying to find any sign of other cats. She suddenly stopped and collapsed in a coughing fit but quickly got back up, determined to find someone to help her.

  • while walking around in the snowstorm looking for shelter river sees something moving in the distance and relizes it is a kit! she runs over to the poor thing and asks it "are you ok!".

  • The kit coughed and replied "No, I need help and I think I am sick..." She then started to shiver and laid down exhausted.

  • River went off to find some food for the kit and came back later with a scrawny vole "here you go"she said waking up the kit gently and nudging the vole to her.

  • "your welcome"said river gently licking the kit on the fore head as it ate."where do you come from and why are you out in this storm?"she mewed curiously.

  • "Um well I came from a distant forest a while ago and I am in the blizzard because I was looking for someone to sake care on me science my parents died..." She mewed a small tear escaped her eye.

  • Quietly looking down on the kit covered in grief knowing the feeling of losing your parents "I know what you feel like my parents were killed by a pack of dogs"River mewed sadly "I will take care of you now get some rest in the morning we will head somewhere safer and warmer"Purred River curling up around the kit and slowly falling asleep.

  • River woke up as the sun was rising the stor had stopped and the snow had settled looking over the sparkling white veiw she sighed awed in the beauty.
